3 MONTHS LATER

I walked down the stairs to see Dimitri holding our son, his brown eyes looking right back at him. Alex had slept soundly through the night which meant Dimitri and I were well rested too. I hadn't gone back to guarding just yet but Dimitri was guarding both Christian and Lissa. Partly because Lissa meant a lot to him but I'm pretty sure it was because I was pissed about a stranger guarding her.

Alex cooing brought my attention back to him and I walked over to sit next to Dimitri. He smiled before giving Alex to me. I leaned back and grabbed a blanket to cover him up so I could feed him. Dimitri leaned his head back and slowly drifted off on the couch.

About thirty minutes later after burping Alex and rocking him to sleep, I went to put him in his crib. I covered him up with his blanket and gave him the stuffed horse Christian had got him after I mentioned how he'd probably be like his father and love the old west.

Dimitri was propped up on his shoulder watching a movie when I walked into the living room. I kissed him softly to wake him up but the kiss slowly climbed to something more. Having a baby hadn't changed any of the ways we felt about each other and I loved how Dimitri was so patient with me. Especially when I was tired and bitchy first thing in the morning.

He laid back on the couch and pulled me with him kissing me in a way that took my breath away. I loved him and he loved me, we had a baby together against all the impossibilities, I was still Lissa's guardian and Dimitri was Christian's. Everything was perfect.

~DPOV~

I pulled her closer to me as we kissed, feeling how her body fit perfectly against mine and how amazing her lips felt on mine. There was nothing I wanted more in that moment than her but I'd have to leave soon. I needed to talk to Ibrahim and Janine about spending the rest of my life with Rose. She was everything to me and had given me a beautiful child and there was nothing more I wanted than to show her how much I loved her than to give her my name.

I pulled away from the kiss much to both of our disapproval but smiled at her. She leaned in to kiss me once more before going to check on Alex. I grabbed the keys off the counter and waited for her to come back in the living room so I could kiss her goodbye before heading off to see Abe and Janine. She came back in with Alex in her arms and frowned when she saw the keys in my hands.

"Where are you going?" she asked and I couldn't help but smile.

I walked over to her and kissed her softly before kissing Alex's head. "I am going to see your parents for a little while about something."

She rolled her eyes and I kissed her again before walking out the door. I had no idea what I was going to say or what to expect so when I got to their door, I took a deep breath and prepared myself for anything.

~RPOV~

3 HOURS LATER

I paced the floor with Alex in my arms trying to get him to calm down. He'd been crying for at least an hour now and I had tried everything. He wasn't hungry, he wasn't sleepy, and he didn't need to be changed.

I turned around to walk to the kitchen when I felt arms around me. I leaned into Dimitri and just closed my eyes. He took Alex from me and I sat on the couch. Then something occurred to me: Alex wasn't crying anymore but cooing.

I looked up to see Dimitri holding him and whispering something in Russian to him and groaned. "That's why he was so pissed?" I fell back onto the couch and heard Dimitri laugh lightly. I fell back on the couch and went to sleep before I even noticed I was tired.

About an hour later I woke up to see Dimitri in the kitchen cooking and Lissa on the other couch. She was grinning ear to ear and I couldn't help but feel kind of awkward.

"Hey." I said as I leaned up and Dimitri put a plate of grilled cheese sandwiches in my lap. "Thank you." I kissed him once before turning my attention to Lissa.

"Can I go see my nephew?" she asked and I laughed but nodded. After I finished off the grilled cheese Dimitri looked to me with a smile.

"Take a walk with me?" he asked and I stood up and brushed off my jeans and took his hand.

We left the apartment and headed down to the woods we used to go exploring in when I first got pregnant. I had taken quite a liking to them thanks to our son. He never seemed to want to rest but when we were in these woods he seemed to know.

When we reached the part of the woods with the small lake Dimitri stopped walking and pulled me to him for a kiss. I immediately responded to him and wrapped my hands in his hair. I loved him so much more than I thought possible.

He pulled back suddenly and I couldn't help but pout until he got down on one knee. I felt my heart rate speed up and almost felt sick when he reached behind him. "I promise to love you and only you for the rest of my life. You're the reason I'm still here and the reason I have the most amazing miracle in my life. I can't ever thank you enough for what you've done for me but I want you to know that I'm yours. Will you make me the happiest man on earth by spending the rest of your life with me? Will you marry me, Roza?"

I smiled and felt tears come to my eyes. "Yes." he slipped the simple diamond ring on my finger and I couldn't help the tears that slid down my face. He stood up and leaned down to kiss me.

I'm assuming it was supposed to be a simple kiss but I couldn't help it as I tangled my hands in his hair and my tongue eagerly sought his. He didn't seem to mind how the kiss changed so quickly though. He threw off the duster he was wearing and threw it to the ground before pulling me into his arms and gently laying me down on it.

I unzipped his jeans and pulled them and his boxers down to his knees as he did the same to me. He unbuttoned my shirt and kissed my stomach lightly before trailing up and kissing my lips. I tangled my hands in his hair and he thrust inside of me.

We both moaned at the amazing feeling of him inside me and I closed my eyes as he started off with a slow pace. I moaned lightly at the feeling of him slipping in and out of my tight center and he gradually sped up the pace each time I moaned. He picked up the pace and I felt a tight knot forming in my stomach as my orgasm started to get closer. He continued hitting my g-spot until I grabbed his shoulders and screamed as the world went black. It wasn't long after that when he lowered his face into my neck and moaned lightly as his orgasm came over him.

We lay there in the forest trying to calm our breath as we laid there, a mess of tangled limbs. He was stroking my hair gently and I had buried my face in his chest. "I love you." He said and I smiled.

I kissed his chest lightly before laying my head back down. "I love you too."

About 10 minutes later we got up and got dressed as I realized Alex would be waking up soon if he wasn't already.

I looked down at the ring on my finger before smiling even brighter. He knew me well enough to know I wouldn't want anything fancy. It was a small diamond on a simple gold band. I looked up at him and kissed him lightly before we started walking back to the house.

Lissa was sitting there on the couch cooing to Alex when we got back and she smiled when she was the ring on my finger. "Congrats." She put Alex in my arms and kissed my cheek lightly before walking out the door.

"Plan on going shopping next week, maid of honor." I called and she stopped before turning back around and kissing my cheek once more.

"Thank you." She said and I saw her race to her car. Dimitri laughed softly as he put his arms around me. Alex was steadily nodding off and I couldn't help the yawn that came from my mouth.

Dimitri kissed my cheek before getting up to my ear and whispering "How about a nap?" I laughed lightly and went to sit on the couch to feed Alex.

Fifteen minutes later, he nodded off and went to sleep against me and I turned to Dimitri. I laid Alex down in his crib gently and after turning off his light walked into mine and Dimitri's room. He was already sitting on the bed in his black sweat pants and I crawled into bed beside him. He put his arm around me and I fell asleep, perfectly content.
