Holy hell, it's been quite some time since last we've met... HeartlessRockstarXIII here. I've been away for far too long... I am going to try and give those of you still reading this story the resolution you deserve... I feel kinda crappy for abandoning my post before completing my task... Hopefully with a set of fresh eyes, I can finish this story.

Disclaimer: I do not own the Ace Attorney games, or their characters. I am merely borrowing them for our mutual amusement...

With that said, and without further ado, IT'S SHOWTIME!

Apollo and Ema spent the remaining days of their vacation seeing sights, splashing around in the ocean, and going on, pre-planned by their bosses, mini dates. They were having the time of their lives and thoroughly enjoying each other's company. Eventually though, all good things must come to an end...

"I can't believe it's been two weeks already... I don't want to leave..."

"I know, I'm really enjoying being here with you..."

The two lovebirds fell into a comfortable silence. They laid on Apollo's bed, wrapped in each other's arms and looking at the morning sunrise. And what a sight to behold. Pastel pinks and demure lavenders graced the skyline, and a subtle, orange glow crept up the horizon. There wasn't a cloud in sight, and only the melody of chirping birds could be heard in the distance. Truly, it was a picturesque tropical paradise.

"Hey, Apollo, what are we going to do when we get back? Are we going to make this a thing, or write it off as the influence of a relaxing vacation in a lush, sandy, island retreat?"

"This is definitely the real deal. I think, however, that we keep a certain pair of matchmaking bosses in the dark, at least for a little bit. Don't want to give them the satisfaction, ya know." Apollo punctuated his sentence with a playful wink.

"I like the way you think; and I love you..."

"I love you too." Apollo let out a sigh, wrapping his arms tighter around the brunette detective laying next to him and burying his face in the crook of her neck. The rookie attorney peppered her skin with butterfly kisses, and she let out a contented sigh. This was perfect, she thought, and it would continue beyond the shores of their coastal respite.

A few hours later, the couple began packing their bags to return to the hot, steamy, suffocating Los Angeles smog, hearts full and minds rested. The drive to the airport was smooth, and they boarded their plane relatively quickly.

"I was just thinking how awkward this whole thing would be if it didn't work out the way it did..."

"Yeah, how would Mr. Wright and the glimmerous fop have known to book us seats together? What if this whole thing just made us feel uncomfortable?"

"We would most likely be enduring a really, really embarrassing ride home."

"Good thing we were so receptive to the idea then, huh?"

"Good thing indeed."

Arriving back in the sweltering heat of Los Angeles, the detective and attorney parted ways with a kiss and headed back to their respective apartments, excited and hopeful for what the coming days would bring.

And... Cut! Alright guys, we're finally finished. Again, I am so sorry it's taken so god awfully long for me to finish this... When I originally drafted this, I was running out of steam, and ideas. I didn't mean to be away for so long, but life kinda got in the way... If you're still here, thank you for your patience... If you're new to this, then thank you for reading, even though it says I've put it on hiatus.

As always, HeartlessRockstarXIII Signing off! ~
