So uhhh... I'm back? This chapter is a lot like the movie, but next chapter will venture away from it
I met the girls that afternoon in the AV club room to discuss what we could do first.
"Well, then, Rory. Do your thing." Maggie said, motioning for me to begin.
"My thing," I said slowly. "Right, well, what attracted you to Killian?"
Belle smiled and connected her laptop to a monitor and started to type. "Good start" she exclaimed. "I like where you are going with this. We need to define Killian. What is it that makes him tick? Is it his charm? His smile? His gorgeous skin?"
"It's everything," Ruby replied. "It's his eyes, his lips, his chest. The way he holds you..." she smiled and closed her eyes, imagining the feel of Killian's arms around her.
"We all agree he's hot." Maggie consented.
"So, what do we do?" I asked.
"Well, in cheer we usually bring down the other team by undermining their confidence. Make them feel like they're nothing and then crush 'em" Maggie replied.
"I don't think this calls for U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi" Ruby retorted.
"Actually" Belle began. "That just might work. Rory, expand on the idea" She pointed to me and I attempted to catch up.
"Right," I said. "Killian's game is that he always has a date, to get back at a guy like that, you make him undateable."
"Yes!" Ruby agreed. "Girls," she smirked. "I think I have an idea."
This part is not in Rory's POV.
"I'm telling you babe. You can make your looks work for you," Ruby smiled as she fixed Killian's hair.
"Don't you think, August?" she asked the photographer behind her who was setting up his camera. She walked over to stand beside August but continued to speak to Killian.
"You know, August know's my granny. And he shoots for Vogue, Seventeen Magazine, even The Rolling Stones. Of course he's done all of my yearbook photo's since first year, on recycled parchment."
"Ok, Killian, just relax and do everything I tell you. Try to act natural" August said slowly, making sure Killian heard what he said.
Killian nodded in understanding and August held the camera up to begin to take pictures. "Now! Pout for me Killian, pout for me!"
Killian looked taken aback but he tried to do what he was being told. He tried to follow the instructions that August was yelling at him, but Ruby could tell he wasn't comfortable. She almost felt bad for him. It was all she could do to not laugh Instead of comforting him like she normally would, she offered him a thumbs up.
"Oh yes, I love you, I love you. Now, hate me, Killian, hate me."
Back to Rory's POV.
Ruby, Belle, Maggie and I were all hidden around a corner waiting for Killian to emerge and show his face for breakfast. They had all stayed up late last night putting the finished touches on the posters they had just finished posting around the school.
"You don't think this is too much, do you?" Belle asked nervously and Maggie rubbed her shoulders comfortingly. "No. It'll be fine. He'll be a little humiliated but he'll get over it"
Killian was walking up the stairs from the dungeons with David Nolan. They were talking about something, but no one could quite make out what. David noticed one of the posters first.
"Is this you?" David asked, trying not to laugh.
Killian looked a the poster for a moment. "Yeah, I do some part time male modelling."
David let out a chuckle but quickly muffled the rest that threatened to come out. Killian noticed the look on his face and he looked at the poster again, his jaw dropping for a moment when he saw an ad for genital herpes.
"I don't have that!" Killian assured David. David put his hands up in mock defence. "Hey man, it's none if my business"
They continued walking and stopped when they noticed another poster. "You shoud try it, it works wonders for me…" Killian read aloud. A few girls nearby heard him and ran off.
David finally let himself go and started laughing his head off while Killian started tearing down the posters.
"That was awesome" Ruby managed to get out amidst all the laughing. "I've got to go study for chem" I said, trying not to laugh. "I'll walk with you" Maggie replied, waving to Ruby and Belle as we walked towards the library.
"Rule number one in warfare: NEVER underestimate your opponent." Maggie said agitatedly, as we all convened in my kitchen a few days later.
Three days after we gave him fake herpes, Killian was presented with a Special Services to the School' award for standing up and creating Sexual Health Awareness.
We had been in the kitchen for two hours trying to think of new ways to get at him and I had lost track of time. Before I knew it, my mom was home with an arm full of groceries.
"What are you girls doing?" She questioned.
"Destroying a man," Ruby smirked.
"Oooh, who do I make my check out to?" She gave us a cheeky smile as she put the food away.
"He's completely indestructible. We give him herpes, they give him an award," Belle sighed.
My mom looked towards me with a confused look.
"Fake herpes, mom It was a reputation thing."
"Riiight, yeah. The old fake herpes reputation thing…" She said, confused. "Well, I'll leave you too it" I nodded in response. "Play nice, girls. She added as she left the room.
"Your mother is so HOT!" Ruby exclaimed.
"She should be, she paid enough to be" I said, trying not to sound too bitter.
Belle was typing away furiously on a laptop, as she tended to do often and I was beginning to get curious.
"Belle what are you always typing?" I asked.
Belle looked up, caught off guard for a split second. "Oh," she began. "Lists. Normal stuff, same as everyone. I have my to-do list, my goals list, my contendencies list, my observations, my notions. Which, of course are two different things because observations require a topic sentence and notions do not. Normal stuff," she smiled then looked back down to continue typing.
"Right, normal," Ruby said in a sarcastic voice.
"Well, at least I'm not medicated," she retorted while motioning to the bottle of pills that Ruby had just pulled out of her bag.
"Excuse me. These are an all natural beauty supplement."
"Let me see that," Belle said before reaching her hand out for the bottle. Reading the label, she typed something on her computer before getting a gross look on her face.
"Ruby, you're a vegan right?" She asked and Ruby nodded slowly. "They make this out of horse hair. And pee"
"Oh, gross! I just wanted to go up a cup size!" Ruby said before throwing the now returned bottle to the floor.
"I don't think it works like that," I informed her. "It stops your natural hormone growth."
"Yeah, and when you run out, you're gonna grow a mustache and a penis," Maggie added.
"Oh thanks for telling me now" Ruby said sarcastically.
"Okay, guys, we need to focus. Get back to Killian" Belle said as she finished typing on her laptop.
"What we need is one major hit. Something that is going to crush is whole macho man act. We need him to know what it feels like to be us." Maggie demanded.
"Right," I smirked. "And what's more terrifying to a man than not being manly?" I smiled suggestively and bent down to grab the bottle of pills.
