"Recognized: Black Falcon: B-Zero-Two."

I stepped into the Cave and let out a sigh, rubbing the back of my neck. I didn't hear anything echoing off the walls, so I assumed either everyone was off doing their own thing or they were on a mission.

I had just finished a solo mission assigned by Batman in Gotham, and all I wanted was to just relax.

I walked to the lounge and threw myself on the couch. I didn't even bother moving when I felt a presence enter the room, because it was one I had grown accustomed to for the past few weeks.

I heard a small whine when I didn't acknowledge his presence, and I turned my head from the couch seat to the side, to gaze into large, yellow irises.

"Hey there, boy," I greeted, reaching up and scratching Wolf's head.

I never understood why, but Wolf always followed me around with Conner wasn't around. I guess I was just that awesome with animals.

Wolf's tongue stuck out as he tilted his head, trying to get me to scratch a specific spot. I angled my wrist, and Wolf let out a contented growl.

At least, I think it was content. He's not pouncing on me and biting my head off...

"How've you been?" I asked him, propping my other hand up to support my head as I looked at the large canine.

Wolf let out a soft whine and nuzzled my face. I let out a small laugh and he looked at me with soft eyes.

I sighed heavily. "Is this about Robin? Seriously? You too?"

Wolf gave me a reprimanded look, basically saying, "Everyonehas noticed it."

"Don't look at me like that," I retorted, glaring lightly at the animal. Wolf simply let out a huff and nuzzled my face again. "Do you always give Conner this kind of attitude?"

Wolf let out a low growl that resembled more like a purr in response.

"Jeez, you're rather touchy," I responded. Wolf let out a huff and lifted his head. He then whirled around, purposely throwing his tail in my face before walking away.

My mouth dropped in shock. What the hell…?

I got up from the couch and ran after the drugged-up canine. "Wait, Wolf!" The canine slowed down his pace, but didn't stop as we walked to the Mission Room. "You're a real testy wolf, aren't you?"

Wolf harrumphed at me as I caught up to him, but he allowed me to place a hand on his head.

"Recognized: Robin: B-Zero-Two. Kid Flash: B-Zero-Four. Superboy: B-Zero-Five."

"Hey, babe! Bye, babe!" Wally greeted me, running past me.

"Don't eat all the pasta in the fridge!" I yelled, remembering I put some in the fridge earlier. There was enough to feed twenty people, but Wally could finish all that in a split second.

I heard no reply, and could only hope Wally heard me. It was for dinner with the Team later tonight.

Wolf walked towards Conner, affectionately greeting him. I frowned, "Just abandon me, why don't ya?" The large canine let out a snort as his favorite member of the Team pet him.

Fine.

I turned my heel, heading back to the lounge. Unfortunately, Robin was walking down the same hallway as me, and that was really uncomfortable.

We walked next to each other with only our footsteps making noises. And even then, they were just light tapping sounds.

Oh wow.

This is awkward.

I made a right, assuming Robin would too, but he surprised me by suddenly making a left.

My eyes widened in shock as we almost crashed and he instinctively held out his arms to steady me. He gripped my arms tightly but softly. After making sure I wouldn't fall, he let go of me like I burned him.

"S-sorry," he muttered out.

"No big deal," I mumbled back. "I'll uh…" I pointed behind him towards the lounge. "Go now."

He nodded and stepped aside, letting me walk past him. As I walked away, I could feel eyes burn into my back, but I didn't want to look back.

I never felt awkward or out of place with him… We were also always in sync… How'd we almost bump into each other accidentally?

I felt the stare off my back, and my shoulders sagged a little bit in relief.

I looked up from the floor and was met with Wally's bright green eyes, which broke away from me for a split second so he could shove a scoopful of food into his mouth.

"Well, that wasn't awkward at all," he commented, chuckling.

I grabbed a pillow from the couch and chucked it at him. I heard a thump, a scream, and a crash all together at once. I sat myself onto the couch and crossed my arms.

That'll show him.

A/N: Guess Wolf's not the only testy one. ;) Review/request~!
