A/N: Some Dick/Verena for 123owl and some Dick's POV for Guest. :P This song popped up while I was listening to music so I wrote a quick little... uh... what do you call these things? I think it's too long for a drabble... flashfic?

DICK GRAYSON

My phone beeped from where it was, and I glanced at it from the corner of my eye before finishing off the level in my game. It was just a usual text sound, not one from Verena or an emergency.

Once I was done, I turned to my phone and grabbed it, swiping it unlocked. It was a new text from Wally:

Heard this and thought I should share this with you. ;) – Wally

Attached was a link and I furrowed my brows. It better not be a joke. I'll be over in Central City in a second and kick his ass if it was.

I clicked on it and I saw that it was a link to a video. I shifted my phone so it was landscape, so I could watch the video more easily.

Do you remember when I said I'd always be there?
Ever since we were ten, baby.
When we were out on the playground, playing pretend.
Didn't know it back then.

I mentally groaned. Seriously, Wally? A love song? Regardless, I continued watching it, finding myself a kindred spirit to the singer.

This is something like a movie,
And I don't know how it ends, girl,
But I fell in love with my best friend.

And that's why. Crap. Did Wally just have to do this to me?

The song ended, as did the video, with the two best friends leaving the girl's room together. I frowned and opened up my texts and then texted Wally back:

I hate you so much. – Dick

His response was quick:

No shooting the messenger. – Wally

I narrowed my eyes, and was about to reply when an urgent text came in, with coordinates to a location. I furrowed my brows as I recognized that it was about thirty miles from here, near the ports of Gotham City.

I scrolled down the screen and wondered who'd I'd be going up against: Killer Croc. Black Falcon's there.

Without another thought, I stood up, walking over to my closet to change quickly. I wasn't all that worried, since she could clearly take care of herself, but I couldn't stop the adrenaline that rushed through my body, making it eager to get to the location to help.

Once I was done changing, I ran towards my open window, easily jumping out of it. I pulled out my Batrope and shot it, swinging off into the night.

A/N: The song featured in Best Friend by Jason Chen. :) Once I get to writing the next chapter, you'll be seeing some Killer Croc vs Black Falcon action! Whoot! :) Review, guys~
