I do not own Naruto Shippuden or any of the characters. You guys are horrible at reviewing. I thank those who did review but the ones that didn't need a lot of work. Luckily, I really like this story.
Goodbye
Naruto stepped up beside Jiraiya and he sighed.
"Let me guess," Jiraiya sighed. "You want to have time to say goodbye. We don't have time. We have to leave."
"I know," Naruto sighed. "And I know I promised not to complain but I just need an hour, maybe less. Please, just give me that."
"Fine," Jiraiya sighed. "Go, say your goodbyes. I'll wait one hour. Then I'm dragging you out."
Naruto nodded and left, heading for the Hyuga compound. When he arrived, Hinata and Neji were training but stopped when he arrived.
"Naruto," Neji announced nodding a greeting before realizing what Naruto was doing at the Hyuga compound. "We'll continue later Hinata."
And with that, he left. Naruto tried to figure out what to say for a moment before Hinata spoke up.
"Is everything okay Naruto?" Hinata asked.
"I...no," Naruto snorted shaking his head. "I should have told you a long time ago. Jiraiya...Jiraiya's taking me on a two year training trip."
"You're...leaving?" Hinata questioned. "But..."
"Hinata," Naruto smiled. "I want to stay. Believe me I do. But, aside from you and a couple of others, there is nothing here for me. Sasuke left to train, so that he could kill Danzo. if I ever want to be able to save Sasuke, I have to train too. But I can't do it here. I can't. I have to go. But I promise you, I will come back. No one in the world could keep me away for more than two years."
"But...you have to teach me to use a sword," Hinata pleaded, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"Have Itachi train you," Naruto stated. "He taught me and could outfight me any day of the year. He'll be a strict teacher but he knows what he's doing. By the time I get back, you should be able to beat me."
"I doubt that," Hinata stated blushing. "We'll all miss you."
"I'll miss you too," Naruto smiled. "And I'm sorry that I had to go. But, like I said, I promise I'll come back."
Hinata nodded and was silent for a moment. Naruto sighed and stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into a hug. She hugged him back, tears beginning to run down her face. After a moment, Naruto pulled away and wiped her tears away then smiled.
"I have to go," Naruto finally sighed.
Hinata nodded and Naruto turned to leave then hesitated. He looked back and then held his hand out. She rested hers in his, confused as to why he wanted her to until her turned her hand over before vanishing. She saw that he had placed a seal on her palm that would allow him to teleport to her and smiled.
Naruto appeared at his house and walked inside finding his mother sitting at the table drinking Sake. She almost never did that.
"I leaving," Naruto announced.
"I know dear," Kushina smiled. "Be careful, and try not to act too much like Jiraiya."
"I won't Mom," Naruto smiled before something that Kimimaro said occurred to him. "Hey Mom, before I leave, do we have a Kekkei Genkai?"
"Sort of," Kushina said. "Uzumakis have the ability to create things as manifestations of their chakra. I make chains, as do most. However, a couple have been known to make spectral kunai or shuriken. Why?"
"I was just curious," Naruto stated. "How does it work?"
"Well," Kushina said thinking for a bit. "It's kind of hard to explain."
Suddenly her eyes lit up with an idea and she stood looking to the book shelf.
"Actually," Kushina said thoughtfully. "I think I still have...yes here it is. This will teach you how to use it."
"Cool," Naruto smiled. "Thanks. Take good care of my cloak for me. Okay?"
"I will dear," Kushina smiled. "Maybe when you get back, your father will be waiting to greet you."
"God I hope so," Naruto grinned. "I'll see you later, I guess."
"Alright," Kushina smiled. "You'd better go before Jiraiya comes looking for you."
Naruto smiled and nodded then left. When he reached the gate, Jiraiya sighed.
"You're late," Jiraiya stated seeing the journal in Naruto's hand. "Ready?"
Naruto nodded and he and Jiraiya left the village.
