A/N: So I was talking to my future roommate's friend, and he casually mentioned how many views this story got, and it really made me want to update this story. ^^ So, here it is, some Kyle/Verena love, and it's inspired by Baptiste Giabiconi's "New York".

KYLE RAYNER
"You're cancelling again?!" Alex groaned over the phone. I could just imagine her with her free hand on her hip, glaring to the wall in front of her.
I threw my head up exasperatedly, looking up at the Manhattan sky. "Yes," I replied as calmly as I could. "I can't make it to lunch because I have an idea I want to draw, Alex."
"You're always drawing," my girlfriend complained, and I could hear her open a door on her end. "I bought a cute new skirt the other day, too."
"Sorry," I apologized, shifting the phone to my left hand so I could pick up my pencil. I began to lightly sketch the trees in front of me.
The idea I had in my brain was the park at dawn, with the skies tinted with mostly blue with the sun still rising slowly from the east. The trees were going to be darker shades, as the sun hadn't fully risen yet.
It was originally going to be a scenery picture, but I had felt like something was missing, so I didn't bother with it, just yet. But this morning, it just clicked.
Verena had come over earlier today (about seven AM, because she had a meeting at 1), and she invited me to go to Central Park. When I asked why, she mentioned that she wanted to jog and then have brunch later with me.
And that's when it hit me.
I took my pencil, drawing in what I would consider the light in the darkness of the nature. I traced each feature gently, every crook and curve engraved in my memory.
Her hair flowed softly past her shoulders, her emerald eyes focused on something in front of her as she jogged softly. I finished the last of the details, when I heard a voice call my name.
I looked up from behind my sketchpad, and spotted Verena jogging right towards me, two water bottles in her hands. Her forehead was slightly damp from her jog, and she slowed to a walk as she got closer to me, before stopping in front of me.
"Here," she said, handing me one of the bottles.
"Thanks," I smiled, taking the water. I twisted open the cap just as Verena sat down next to me. I could smell the fresh air and sweat coming from her, as well as her usual vanilla-sunshine scent.
"So, draw anything?" Verena inquired. "You looked pretty deep in thought before I called your name."
"Actually, yeah," I said, turning to look at her. "It's only a sketch, but..." I showed her my pad, and watched as she took it gently in her hands.
"Wow…" she said quietly, her green eyes almost sparkling. "It's beautiful, Kyle."
The corner of my lips curled. "Because the subject is beautiful," I said, looking down at the image I drew of her jogging.
A/N: Just a note, NO Kyle does NOT have romantic feelings for Verena. He feels for her like how and older brother would a younger sister, and he's just glad that she's so supportive of his artwork (unlike Alex), and because of that, she's his muse. ^^ Remember to review~
