Priestess
Naruto stood perfectly still watching Hinata intently. Nine times out of ten people would call him a creep and probably attack him to save Hinata from his prying eyes. However, this time, the entire village stood present, content to do nothing but watch. Hinata suddenly blurred forward and Naruto slashed at her with his Double-Edged Sword.
She ducked under it and spun, slashing at his stomach but he flipped his sword over and blocked it. He threw a push kick at her but she did a back flip out of the way. Several people in the assembled crowd cheered and Naruto rolled his eyes. The village was split just about in half as to who was betting on who for the winner. Naruto had Team Kakashi and several of the others in the Konoha 11 as well as Konohamaru, Moegi, Udon, and about half of the rest of the village while Hinata had the other half along with Neji, Tenten, Ino, Kiba, Shino, Itachi, and the entire Uchiha clan. Naruto had, however, claimed that Sasuke would stand with him if he were present and Sakura along with a few others had seconded it, gaining Sasuke, if only in name.
Hinata darted forward and Naruto held his arm out grinning as the Garian blade shot out in its snake form. When it reached Hinata, she slashed it sideways with her katana then darted forward. The Garian blade's body bent out into her path and moved around her so that it blocked her view of him. Finally it moved out of the way as Naruto slashed at her but she spun past it and slashed him across the back. Naruto instantly vanished and the real one appeared behind her with his sword to her throat.
His supporters cheered loudly. Then, Hinata's sword blade extended from his back and everyone fell silent. Naruto grinned and shook his head sighing then shrugged. Then, he turned into a cloud of smoke just before flashing blindingly bright and blinding everyone, Hinata included. Naruto himself stepped out of the crowd and charged at Hinata. She blocked his swing and tripped him, placing her own sword to his throat. Her supporters cheered. Just before they could continue, a messenger bird arrived from the air and landed on Minato's shoulder, since he was beside Tsunade. He opened the note and paled instantly, handing it to Tsunade. She also paled then looked up Kakashi and mouthed one word, Moryo.
"Fight's over!" Kakashi shouted. "Jonin and chunin gather for war meeting! Genin escort villagers to their houses! Now!"
There was chaos instantly. Everyone scrambled to do as instructed and Hinata helped Naruto up, then they went with Shikamaru, as the other Konoha 11 did.
"What's going on?" Naruto questioned.
"No idea," Shikamaru stated. "I'm sure Tsunade will tell us when we're needed."
Naruto suddenly branched off, picking up a young child who was lost in a crowd and set her on the roof of a nearby building beside a woman who was hanging out clothes to dry. Then, he returned to the others just as Minato appeared beside him, using Naruto's kunai.
"Tsunade has a mission for you," Minato stated. "Or at least, for Naruto, Sakura, Neji, and Lee."
Naruto nodded and the three of them placed their hands on Naruto's shoulders and he teleported to Tsunade's office with them, using a seal he had placed there when he first arrived.
"Hello Naruto," Tsunade sighed. "The reason for all of this chaos is that Moryo, an ancient and powerful demon has returned. The last time he rose, he led an unstoppable army called the Ghost Army against the world and nearly destroyed it. He was stopped by the power of the Priestess of the Land of Ogres. Now that Moryo's soul has been freed from its seal, it will try to kill the current Priestess and get to his body. Meanwhile, the Ghost Army is mobile. We'll handle the army. You must all handle escorting the Priestess to the shrine where Moryo's body is sealed so that she can seal Moryo."
"Escort duty?" Naruto questioned. "Shouldn't I be on the front lines? I could probably take the entire army alone."
"Probably," Tsunade agreed. "But protecting the Priestess is more important, without Moryo, the army is finished."
"Who will be assaulting the army and how?" Naruto questioned.
"We'll start with collapsing mountains on them," Tsunade stated. "If that doesn't work, we'll have to attack directly with our most powerful jutsus."
"Then I would like to request one other person," Naruto stated.
"Granted," Tsunade stated. "Take her and go. But you need to hurry."
"How did you-" Naruto began but Tsunade merely smirked.
"Dismissed," Tsunade stated.
Naruto rolled his eyes and left the office on foot before teleporting to Hinata.
"You're stuck with us," Naruto stated.
Hinata nodded and rested her hand on Naruto and he teleported to his house appearing in front of Kushina and Minato who instantly separated, all four faces turning scarlet.
"Naruto, Hinata!" Minato said forcing a smile. "What can I do for you?"
"Just here to pick something up," Naruto smirked. "We'll be out of your hair in a moment."
With that, Naruto went into his room and pulled his cloak on. Then, he got some extra kunai and walked out to the others. Minato instantly smiled happily.
"It fits," Minato smiled. "Finally."
Naruto nodded grinning then looked to Hinata.
"Ready to go?" Naruto questioned.
Hinata nodded and rested her hand on his shoulder and he teleported them to the gate where the others waited.
"Nice cloak," Neji stated. "It makes you look just like your father. Come on. We should be going."
"I'm sorry but who put you in charge again?" Naruto questioned.
"I'm the only Jonin here," Neji stated. "I'm in charge and you are not to do anything unless I say to."
"Good luck with that," Naruto snorted. "Come on. Let's go."
And with that, he took of running toward their first destination. The others all followed. After about three days of non-stop travel, the others were all riding on the back of a Naruto clone and Naruto was sprinting as fast as he could, the trees shattering under his feet as he did. Finally they reached the village they were looking for in time to see four ninja walk into the palace after decimating the small army there to stop them. Naruto released his clones and charged into the temple, leaping over the four ninjas to get their attention, intentionally landing on the fallen screen in front of the Priestess's bed and slipping, landing hard.
"What the Hell?" a tall one with white shoulder-length hair, red eyes, a dark green stripe horizontally across his forehead, a blue cloth around his mouth, a white robe with strange symbol on the bottom, a blue sleeveless shirt underneath, and martial artist shoes said staring at Naruto.
"Why didn't he sneak up on us?" A woman with orange hair, a similar outfit, white skin, and three blue stripes running up her face questioned. "He just like a maniac. Is he as strong as we are?"
"Could be," a third stated, this one with blue hair in three spikes pointed backward, a red rectangle extending from his hair on his forehead inside another that ran through his eyes then across the bridge of his nose and a third extending from below his chin, and an outfit matching the other three. "Or maybe he's just an idiot."
"Either way you look at it, he definitely isn't normal," the third man, fourth in the group, stated.
He had pink long hair with bangs that covered his right eye and went down below his chin to his neck, pink eyes matching his hair, a robe like the others, a dark blue shirt underneath, black gloves, a belt with two shuriken holsters, and martial artist shoes with golden anklets.
"I'd put my money on idiot though," he continued.
"That's what you think," Naruto muttered as Hinata appeared behind them, slashing at the big one with her sword.
He blocked it and it smashed and the others turned toward her as she dropped to the ground. Before anyone could react to Hinata ducking, Naruto had drawn his Double-Edged Sword and swung it, launching the four ninja out of the palace then glancing back to see the Priestess and her bodyguard leaving. Naruto leapt out of the door, Hinata just behind him, holding the Sword of the Thunder God. He grinned seeing that she still had it. After a second, Naruto flicked a kunai into the air just as a massive Earth cavern appeared around them. Naruto took Hinata's hand and they waited.
"Hit him!" the one with pink hair ordered before leaving.
"Fire Style, Fire Run!" the girl said sending a ring of flames into the entrance of the earth cavern Naruto and Hinata were in.
"Wind Style, Divine Down Current!" the one with blue hair said releasing a massive blast of wind that combined with he fire and send a massively powerful flame into the cavern.
Naruto grinned when they saw the fire shooting toward them and he teleported to the kunai that was sitting on top of the cavern. The moment he appeared, the four ninja all gasped and stared in shock at him.
"How are they outside?" the big one questioned.
"They must have used clones!" the girl spat.
"Not exactly," Naruto grinned. "But it looks like you guys used up all of your power. What a shame."
"He's right," the girl stated, the marks disappearing from her skin as she returned to normal along with the rest, the big one not changing much. "We have to retreat!"
Just as they turned to leave, Lee crashed down in the middle of them, instantly attacking them and sending the blue-haired man flying. The girl followed him, catching him and retreating while the big guy fought Lee, losing badly. Finally Sakura arrived and punched him, sending him flying as well and Lee smirked.
Naruto and Hinata sprinted past the palace and in the direction Neji had gone. Just as they arrived. Neji blasted the pink haired ninja with a blast of wind.
"He has wind style chakra?" Naruto questioned.
"It's the Eight Trigrams Air Palm," Hinata stated. "Any Hyuga can do it with enough training."
"Can you?" Naruto questioned.
"Yes," Hinata nodded as the ninja flew toward them, staring at Neji. "Eight Trigrams, Air Palm!"
The ninja tensed and looked back just as Hinata's jutsu hit him and he crashed back down on the rocks below them. Then, the other three darted past and picked him up, jumping over the cliff and leaving.
"They'll be back," Naruto grinned. "So Neji, you did remember to keep the Priestess unharmed, right?"
"Of course I did," Neji scoffed. "I would never screw...up...like...holy fucking shit."
The reason for his surprise was the Priestess herself, and Naruto and the others had a similar reaction when they saw her. Hinata and the Priestess could have been twins. The biggest difference was the Priestess's hair style and color, along with the color of her eyes. That was easily changed and if it was they would be completely impossible to tell apart.
"Oh my God," Naruto breathed. "Are we sure she's not secretly a Hyuga? And Hinata's twin sister?"
"That's...impossible," Neji blinked. "She would have the Byakugan. And dark hair."
"I was joking," Naruto stated rolling his eyes. "So, what's your name?"
"Shion," the Priestess stated.
