Rogue said nothing again, bashfully.
Gambit felt on top of the world. This woman was beginning to prove more and more that she was worth his time, exclusiveness, and patience...yet he was trying to work more on the latter.
"Let's go eat now," she said breathily.
"Bien."
After eating at a nice cafe for brunch they decided to watch a movie. Remy had the gentleman approach to pay for everything.
It was evening already and Rogue was expecting to go back home.
"Chère, do ya like blues or jazz music?"
"Yes, both. Why do ya ask?"
"Tink maybe tomorrow night yeh might want to go with me to see a live show."
"Oooh, ya want anotha date ah see. That sounds great Remy," Rogue grins.
It had only been a mere few dates, but Gambit felt like it had been years of them being together. Every time he looked at her it was like seeing his future, past, and present... happily. He was in love..an unfamiliar, yet welcoming emotion.
Her smile lit him on fire, he melted. There is nothing that made him happier, he decided. He smiled back at her lovingly.
How can ah have just met this guy yet feel so connected ta him? Rogue thought. He looks at meh with those beautiful eyes and that smile and he makes meh want to run away with him. This ain't lahke meh...but it's been so long since ah've been this happy. Ah deserve ta share mah life with someone that makes meh happy and treats meh right.
"Do ya have kids?" Rogue blurts out before she could stop herself. It had been weighing on her mind from earlier on in the day.
Remy turns to look at her with an eyebrow raised "No enfants here chère."
She didnt know whether he was being truthful or not but she decided she trusted him.
Gambit added, "But I would like to have some bébés someday...what 'bout you chère?"
"Ah do too, not wantin ta be a single mom though," she chuckled lightly. A thought came to her, maybe one day her and Remy would have kids together...it was a possibility. Maybe this was the guy she was meant to be with. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. Unbeknownst to her as she had been deep in thought, Gambit had managed to smoothly slip his hand in hers. They had been walking for a while like this until she noticed.
It was warm...and nice. It felt right, so she let him continue the hand holding.
"Ya are pretty sly aren't ya Gambit?"
"Yeh like it."
"How do you know?"
"Yeh haven't let go o' my hand, yeh didn't slap Remy when he kissed yeh earlier, yeh blush when he look at yeh too long."
She furrows her brow slighty and bites her lip.
"Maybe Ah just am polite and bashful Mr. Lebeau."
"It's ok chère, I know yeh like him."
"Yeah, Ah think Remy is corny when he speaks in third person as well," she grins brightly.
"Remy likes when yeh say his name, sounds belle coming from yeh."
(To be continued...)
A/N: Bien - okay Enfants - children Bébés - babies Chère- dear
Does anyone want Gambit to stop saying 'yeh' instead of 'you' or should I switch it? Don't know if that bothers anybody.
Thanks for the feedback, please continue to rate and review :)
