Nature
Naruto looked to Minato, Kakashi, and Yamato silently. The three of them had all agreed to teach Naruto to add his Wind Nature chakra to his Rasengan, something even Minato had failed at trying to do. So far, Kakashi had had Naruto use his chakra to split a waterfall as he had the chakra paper then had had him use a thousand clones to split every leaf on a tree that Yamato had made. The tree was the equivalent of several centuries old. There were a lot of leaves. The worst part about the training, however, were the food pills that Sakura had made. They were the size of Naruto's fist and Sai quite adequately named them mud balls. They tasted so bad that Naruto couldn't even taste one without vomiting. Coincidentally, even though he always puked it up, it still replenished his energy.
"Can't I try the jutsu yet?" Naruto finally groaned, finishing splitting the leaves for the fiftieth time."
"Alright," Kakashi sighed. "Create a Rasengan and channel your Wind Nature chakra into it."
Naruto tried but after a moment, the Rasengan dissipated.
"Oh man," Naruto groaned. "How do you do it Dad?"
"I can't," Minato stated. "I taught Kakashi the Rasengan while he was my student but we both failed at adding our chakra Nature to it."
"I see," Naruto sighed. "I guess I'll just have to struggle."
Naruto created a thousand clones and they all formed a Rasengan then added their chakra nature and the Rasengans began to grow and turn pure white while emitting a high-pitched whine. Then, one of them exploded with enough force for most of the clones to go flying while those clones' Rasengans faded and the rest exploded. Naruto replenished the clones and began to try again but after a moment, his Nine-tails Cloak appeared and Yamato instantly sent the wooden statues around him, all cats, by the looks of them, at him. They ate the chakra shroud around him until he was laying on the ground nearly unconscious.
"Mud...ball," Naruto groaned and Minato appeared beside him handing him one.
Naruto ate it then puked it up and stood taking the glass of water from Minato and rinsing his mouth out. Minato nodded to him and took the glass of water and walked over to Kakashi and Yamato. Naruto continued trying for several hours until he collapsed. As he rested, it began to rain. Shortly after ward he tried again. By now, clones receiving the Nine-tails Cloak at three tails instantly. When one gained it this time, it instantly began tearing through the Narutos. Finally one of the clones was able to retrain him with his Garian Swords and another managed to blast him with Temujin's sword. Then, the clones all disappeared and Naruto sighed.
"You okay?" Kakashi questioned kneeling beside him.
"No," Naruto sighed. "I can't do it. It's like trying to look right at the same exact time as looking left. It's not possible!"
"Looking left and looking right, huh?" Kakashi questioned standing. "How about this?"
Kakashi created a clone and both smiled.
"I'm looking left," one Kakashi stated looking left as the other looked right. "While looking right."
"That's completely che...wait...you're a genius!" Naruto shouted jumping up and creating his clones who paired up.
Kakashi shrugged and walked back to the others as Naruto continued training. Finally, some time near ten in the morning the next day, Naruto finally created a Rasengan that was near white with a ring around it that looked somewhat like Shuriken blades.
"Minato," Tsunade said suddenly, appearing beside him.
"I think I got it!" Naruto shouted to them.
"Kakashi, if you would," Minato sighed. "What is it Tsunade?"
"You remember those teams we sent out to find the Akatsuki members?" Tsunade questioned.
"I do," Minato nodded.
"Asuma's team may be onto them," Tsunade stated. "But I think that they may need some help, today."
"Where are they?" Minato questioned.
"The fiftieth Collection Agency," Tsunade stated. "How do you want to handle this?"
"I'll send Naruto and Hinata," Minato stated. "They can more than handle the Akatsuki together."
"These members seem to have defeated Chiriku," Tsunade stated. "Tell Naruto to be careful."
Minato nodded and walked over to Naruto and Kakashi.
"Naruto," Minato stated. "You're ahead of schedule by a few days. Now, we're going to put your training on hold while you go find Asuma's team and help them against a pair of Akatsuki members that are probably going to kill them without your help."
"Am I taking anyone or do I have to fight these assholes all by myself?" Naruto questioned.
"First of all," Minato sighed. "Watch your language or I'll tell your mother. Second, you're taking Hinata. Try not to drown her this time, hm?"
Naruto's face turned crimson and Minato laughed for a moment then motioning for Naruto to go.
"You need to be there within an hour," Minato stated. "It's the fiftieth Collection Agency."
Naruto nodded and teleported away first retrieving his swords from his house then going to the Hyuga Compound to get Hinata. Then, they went to the Main Gate and sprinted away from the village, Hinata giving him directions. After a few hours, they arrived just as there was a massive fiery explosion. They landed beside Shikamaru and Asuma smiled back at them before turning back to the Akatsuki member that had been blown up. Naruto was the first to notice the burn on the side of Asuma's face, Shikamaru noticing less than a second later. When the smoke cleared, the Akatsuki member grinned. He was relatively tall with grey hair combed back with his body completely black except for white markings that looked like the skeletal system. He wore an Akatsuki robe that had been ruined in the explosion, the entire right sleeve gone along with most of the front of the torso, blue and white sandals, a pendant that was an upside down equilateral triangle inside a circle made out of silver with a silver chain, and a Yugakure headband around his neck with the symbol scratched out. He was holding a triple-bladed scythe attached to a chain attached to him and a spear that looked like it could extend and retract. Below him on the ground was the same symbol as his necklace, looking to be drawn from the Akatsuki member's blood.
The other Akatsuki member was standing behind them, held in place by the poison on the blade of one of the Konoha shinobi present. The Akatsuki member wore a white hood and a black mask with his eyes being the only visible part of his face, an Akatsuki cloak, dark blue pants and sandals, and a Waterfall Village headband with the symbol scratched out. He had green irises with the sclerae being red, rather than white and his fingernails were the same shade of red. This one was unarmed.
"Which is the bigger threat?" Naruto questioned.
"The one with the scythe," Asuma stated. "He's immortal. The other one seems to be but claims he's not."
"How's your whole body?" the one in the seal questioned. "Hurt? Like my curse? Any damage done to me is done to you."
"My name's Naruto Uzumaki," Naruto stated bowing. "What's yours? And how does that curse work?"
"Name's Hidan," the Akatsuki member stated. "And after I ingest some blood, I just step in my-"
"Hidan!" the other shouted. "Shut up! Do not give away your jutsus! If you want him to know, show him! Stab yourself!"
"Alright, alright," Hidan sighed. "I get it Kakuzu. I'll keep my mouth shut. Jeez!"
Just then, Naruto arrived behind him, dragging him out of his seal then slicing a scratch into his cheek. Shikamaru looked to Asuma and saw he had no scratch.
"No effect if he's not in the seal!" Shikamaru shouted.
"Good," Naruto grinned. "Blast the seal!"
Just as Shikamaru drew several paper bombs, Hidan darted past Naruto toward the seal. Naruto grabbed his foot spinning and flinging him away. Hidan crashed into the side of the building and Naruto appeared beside him. Just as he did, Hidan's spear sprouted from the back of his left and and then pinned him to the ground while Hidan charged at Shikamaru. Shikamaru leapt away, forced to stop attempting to blow up the seal and landed behind Hinata who attacked Hidan with her Sword of the Thunder God. Hidan avoided three slashes then blocked a fourth and instantly regretted it. Electricity shot through his body in waves before he flew backward, crashing down beside Naruto just as Naruto's arm finished healing and he picked Hidan up.
"Time to die," Naruto growled before hurling Hidan sideways into the side of the building again, this time blasting him with several Air Bullets.
Hidan leapt out as Hinata arrived to stand beside Naruto and both drew their swords, Naruto using his Double-Edged Swords. Hidan leapt out of the hole in the wall and began hacking and slashing at Hinata and Naruto, grabbing his spear at one point. Naruto and Hinata tried to get a hit on him but he was lucky enough that his spear was electricity proof, allowing him to fight Hinata with it. After several minutes, he kicked Naruto back and slashed at Hinata with his scythe while blocking her sword with his spear. She leapt back but the spear managed to scratch her across the cheek. Hidan instantly licked the blade clean and grinned. Naruto leapt up behind him slashing at him but Hidan dodged sideways into he seal and raised his spear, intent obvious.
"Next time tough guy," Hidan smirked. "Beautiful here is first."
He swung his spear downward and everyone watched in shocked horror as his spear embedded itself through Naruto's torso before Naruto caught it just short of Hidan's chest over his heart.
"Damn you're fast," Hidan growled. "That wound will make it hard to fight though."
"Don't worry," Naruto growled stepping forward and forcing Hidan out of his seal. "I just need you to stay put."
He created a clone then gripped Hidan by the throat while still holding the spear and stepped forward again, forcing Hidan further from the seal. Hidan growled trying to break free as the Clone moved around behind him, creating a Rasengan.
"And now you die," Naruto growled.
Before anyone could react, Kakuzu appeared between the clone and Hidan, destroying it then punching Naruto with a fist that had turned black, launching him away. Hidan managed to hold onto his spear and the moment Naruto was no longer holding onto him or his spear, Hidan and Kakuzu leapt over the building disappearing into the woods.
"Ino!" Shikamaru snapped to his teammate who was standing nearby. "Heal him!"
Ino instantly dropped to her knees beside him beginning to heal him but it was obvious from her face that she couldn't.
"What's wrong?" Hinata questioned.
"It's a vital point," Ino sighed. "I can't do it."
"Naruto, how much chakra do you need to use the mark on your hand?" Hinata questioned.
"I don't think...it works...like that," Naruto smiled. "You...okay?"
"I'm fine," Hinata sniffed. "How much?"
"More than you have," Naruto sighed.
"As much as your Rasengan?" Asuma questioned.
"More," Naruto sighed. "Three or four times as much."
"I see," Asuma nodded. "Choji, green pill."
Choji nodded and ate the pill then began to transfer the chakra it gave him into Naruto. When he had enough to survive, Hinata moved his hand over the wound and Naruto sent a pulse of chakra through his hand into his wound and instantly blacked out.
