Perfected
Naruto bent forward at the waist sighing. He had been back for several days and had been training to perfect his Rasenshuriken. And he had done it. The jutsu was finally done. Kakashi had left with Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino to hunt down Hidan and Kakuzu and now that Naruto had finished his jutsu, Team Kakashi was going to aid them with Yamato. Hinata, by Naruto's choice, would be staying behind. Asuma himself was in the hospital after his jutsu had burned fifty percent of his body but would live.
"Ready to go Naruto?" Yamato questioned.
"Toss me the last Mud Ball," Naruto said as Yamato tossed it to him and used his Water Style jutsus to fill a glass with water.
Naruto ate the Mud Ball and puked it back up then drank the water. A moment late he leapt sideways away from Sakura's fist.
"They are not that bad!" Sakura shouted.
"Eat one yourself!" Naruto suggested. "But do it after our mission. We have Akatsuki Zombies to kill."
Sakura sighed and nodded and the four of them left the village, Yamato leading them toward Kakashi and Asuma's team. After about five hours, they reached the battlefield to find Kakuzu standing before Kakashi, Ino, and Choji, the three ninja bound in cords extended from Kakuzu's body. Kakuzu himself was now missing most of his uniform revealing his ability. His body was held together by the same cords. Now, the pieces were separated with cords connecting them. He had the front half of his shirt, hood, forehead protector, and pants but there were cords hanging out of his mouth which had cuts extending to his ears that were loosely stitched closed and he had a huge mass of cords fanned out behind him with a mask to the right of his head with two blue boar-tusk-shaped marks extending upward from the sides of its mouth and a mask to the left of Kakuzu's head that looked to have red lipstick in a very thin very wide rectangular mouth.
As they neared them, the two masks opened and charged a fire and wind style jutsu respectively before firing them as a massive blast of supercharged wind. Naruto and Yamato reacted instantly.
"Wind Style, Rasengan!" Naruto shouted already having had a clone form the jutsu with him.
"Water Style, Ripping Torrent!" Yamato said firing a stream of water while Naruto hurled the Rasengan.
"Hurricane Vortex Jutsu!" They both said as the jutsus combined between Kakashi, Ino, and Choji and Kakuzu forming a massive vortex of water that blocked and cancelled Kakuzu's jutsu.
"Sorry we're late," Naruto stated as the smoke cleared. "But better late than never."
"Perfect timing," Kakashi sighed.
"Yeah, let's hear it for the cavalry," Choji sighed.
"Sakura, Naruto, and Sai," Ino said happily and Naruto couldn't resist.
"No, it's Hinata, Neji, and Kiba," Naruto stated. "Get your eyes fixed."
Ino rolled her eyes as Choji snickered.
"Just shut up and kill him already," Ino sighed. "Shikamaru's fighting Hidan."
"Alone?" Sakura gasped.
"Which way?" Naruto questioned.
Kakashi summoned his ninken, Pakkun, and the dog ran sideways taking Sai and Sakura with him. Naruto stepped forward cracking his neck and grinning.
"He's perfected it?" Kakashi questioned.
"No, it only works half the time," Yamato sighed. "But...just watch. He's come a long way. And the jutsu is worth it."
Naruto created two clones who drew their Double-Edged Swords and charged forward. They attacked Kakuzu as fast as they could but they were unable to hit Kakuzu. After a few seconds, he destroyed them both and Naruto growled.
"Fast," Naruto muttered. "Four for the distraction. I see. Alright. Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
He created five clones and four charged forward while the other began to prepare the jutsu but stopped when Kakuzu shot the cords on his back forward and caught then destroyed all four clones within seconds.
"Hm," Naruto thought. "Those will be a problem. Alright then. Come on out you four."
He created four clones who each prepared one fighting style as with Moryo and Orochimaru. The four of them charged forward, the one with the Garian swords, as usual, covering them by using his swords to smash any groups of cords sent forward. While Kakuzu fought those four clones, Naruto and his last clone formed his new jutsu. The others were in awe of the power knowing it was immense from just the whine the Rasengan released.
"What is that jutsu?" Kakuzu muttered. "I can't let it hit me, or I'll be finished."
Just then the clone with the Double-Edged Swords blasted him and he returned his focus to the clones, two of which, the one with the Rasengans and the one with Temujin's sword were already gone.
"Wind Style, Rasenshuriken!" Naruto shouted before charging forward with his last clone who also drew his Garian Swords and he and the other two held Kakuzu still.
"No!" Kakuzu growled as Naruto neared him.
Naruto thrust the jutsu forward to hit Kakuzu with it but it dissipated just as it touched his chest without doing any damage.
"What?" Choji breathed.
"Did...did he beat him?" Ino questioned.
"It failed," Yamato breathed.
Naruto leapt away as Kakuzu sent his cords at the three clones, destroying them then launching his arm forward with some of the cords near the elbow, wrapping around Naruto and catching him. Then, he extended more cords reaching to take Naruto's heart.
"Yamato!" Kakashi shouted sprinting forward.
"Right," Yamato said turning his arm into a wooden spike and shooting it at Kakuzu.
Kakuzu ducked under the spike at the last second just as Kakashi arrived creating a Chidori and slashing his arm, freeing Naruto. Yamato sent more wood spikes at Kakuzu who dodged out of the way. The spikes crashed into the side of a tree, narrowly missing Kakuzu and Yamato pulled his arm free.
"When you said Rasenshuriken I assumed you were going to throw it," Choji stated. "Not run up and bash the guy with it."
"The name is misleading," Yamato stated.
"Trust me," Naruto said standing. "I'm not finished yet."
"He's an Akatsuki," Ino stated. "You'll never hit him with that jutsu now. He knows what to expect."
"Yeah, we should work together," Choji stated.
"It's five against one," Kakashi stated. "There's no need to cross any shaky bridges."
"Please," Naruto snorted. "I'm the Konoha's Yellow Flash Second Generation. I don't use bridges."
Kakashi's eyes widened and he nodded.
"Alright," Kakashi sighed. "Show him why you deserve a run on sight order."
Naruto grinned and nodded, walking to the other side of the mass of wooden spikes Yamato had formed so that Kakuzu would see the clones coming.
"Let's try this again," Naruto grinned.
Just then, Kakuzu bent forward puking up more cords as his arms retracted, sewing themselves back together while the cords on his back separated and extended until they had formed nine massive tentacles connected to each other with small bundles of cords that looked like a massive black spiderweb. In the process he lost his hood and forehead protector revealing long brown hair.
"That's not just a transformation, that's a massive amount of chakra," Yamato stated.
"He's preparing for Naruto's jutsu," Kakashi stated.
Naruto recreated his five clones. the smoke obscuring him momentarily until his Rasenshuriken blew it away.
"Go!" Naruto shouted.
The four clones that had distracted Kakuzu before sprinted forward and Naruto a moment later. As expected, Kakuzu leapt over the clones and launched four of his tentacles at Naruto, driving them through his torso. No sooner did he do that did Naruto explode into a cloud of smoke and a high pitched whine reached his ears from behind him. He looked back and saw that the Naruto with the Rasengans had released one and now held a Rasenshuriken, courtesy of the clone with the Garian Swords. Just as Kakuzu saw him, Naruto teleported to a seal he had placed on one of the cords that Kakuzu had used to restrain him. He reappeared behind Kakuzu and slammed the Rasenshuriken into his back the Rasenshuriken instantly flew away from Naruto, pushing Kakuzu over a mile away before exploding into a massive dome of chakra. Kakashi's Sharingan could see just well enough to see that the jutsu caused thousands of tiny chakra blades to attack Kakuzu on a cellular level but there were too many and moving far too fast for him to track it. Finally the explosion ended and Naruto collapsed but Yamato caught him as Kakashi went to make sure that Kakuzu was dead.
"Well done Naruto," Yamato smiled.
After a few minutes, Kakashi returned with Kakuzu's body explaining that Tsunade would want to see the effects of Naruto's new jutsu. And with that, they headed home, Sakura, Sai, and Shikamaru having caught up while Kakashi was finishing Kakuzu.
