Remy hopped in his shower and shampooed his hair. He closed his eyes and rinsed the water out.

A french love song went through his head. "Merde, dis femme got me hearing cheesy love songs, dats a first."

After he was done showering he toweled off and changed. He lay down on his bed for a bit and checked his phone. There was a voice message from his dad Jean Luc.

'Remy, son, how tings go? Stop by later today so we catch up. Also Henry and Mercy are expecting, don' tell them yeh heard from me doe so act surprised. We see you dis evenin.'

Remy slide his hand over his face. Even though he hadn't seen his family in a while, he thought it was best he did. He texted Rogue.

'Mon père wants me to go over dis evenin. Sorry about our date Rogue...unless yeh don' mind goin dat is. Might be borin doe.'

Rogue stared at her phone, having just got back from walking Obie and lounging on her couch.

"What ya think Obie, should ah go? Is it too early to meet his family?"

Obie stared at her and rolled over. Sometimes she really wished he could talk, she didn't speak dog.

She texted back, 'Eh, what the heck, ah don't have any plans later anyway otha than water mah plants and take out the trash.'

He sent back a ;) winky face.

She followed with a :p tongue emoji.

He gave a :* kiss emoji.

She also gave a :* kiss emoji. 'Okay this is gettin silly haha.'

'Ok, pick you up later tonight.'

'Cool.'

She put down her phone. "We are such teenagers," she laughed to herself and shook her head.

Etienne heard a knock at his uncle's door. When he opened the door his mouth fell agape. The first thing he saw was a very beautiful woman with long flowy hair and eyes that lit up when she looked at him. Then beside her was Remy which he barely glanced at.

"T'ank you Remy for bringing me de woman o' my dreams," he went to kiss Rogue's hand but instead got whacked slightly in the head by Remy.

"Keep yeh hands to yehself Etienne...Rogue dis be my cousin," he introduced her.

"Hello, nice tah meet yah," she said in her most kind voice.

"Enchanté," he smiled while still checking her out. He motioned them to come inside.

Remy face-palmed. Why did Etienne have to be so creepy...guess he could't blame him. Rogue was truly a catch.

Jean-Luc hears the commotion and goes to greet Remy and his guest.

He hugs Remy, "It be nice you came Remy, dis be my new daughter in law?" He went to hug Rogue too.

Remy face-palmed again.

"We be dating pére."

"Enchanté Rogue," he smiled warmly. "Remy don' usually bring femmes to meet our family. Please, make yourself at home."

"Thank ya," she smiled warmly back.

She had decided to wear a nice dark grey bodycon dress and her usual black heels but after meeting one of his cousins she really wished she was wearing pants and a sweater instead.

Henri and his wife Mercy came out from the kitchen and greeted them too. Henri was a gentleman and chose not to ogle her, instead he gave her a kiss on either side of her cheek.

"It's nice of Rémy to finally bring such a lovely young woman to our home," Henry said while leading her into the kitchen where they were about to have dinner.

Mercy looked at Remy with a smirk on her face.

"You serious about her?"

Remy looked at her, "We haven' been dating long but she is really special to me."

"She's lovely," she said.

Jean Luc interruped them, "Let's eat."

Rogue looked around at the dinner table to see a lot of glances her way. The food was good and they had wine to pair. Everyone seemed to like her right off the bat which she was quite flattered. She felt like she fit in just fine and laughed at everyone's jokes. Remy however, seemed a bit embarrassed every now and then.

"Rogue, sorry if my family be a little weird. I understand if yeh wanna leave a bit early."

"It's fine Remy, Ah like your family. They are very nice to meh."

"Bien," Remy grinned.
