Raid

Naruto sat on the desk holding his hand out to Tsunade who simply rolled her eyes and began to examine his hand with her Medical Ninjutsu. After a moment she glanced up at him then back down at his hand before stopping.

"Well," Tsunade blinked eyes wide. "The jutsu completely destroyed Kakuzu's Chakra Network with tiny blades of chakra. Even if he had lived, he wouldn't have been able to perform jutsu. I saw the same damage in your hand, but in a much smaller scale. damage to the Chakra Network cannot be healed. Even I can't and I'm the best Medical Ninja alive. However, It would seem that your right hand is special because the when I tried to check the damage using medical jutsu, it healed. From now on, only use the jutsu in your right hand. And thank Temujin for that Gelel Stone."

"Yes Ma'am," Naruto grinned. "So, trying to heal my uninjured right hand healed it?"

"More or less yes," Tsunade nodded. "However, there's no way to know if it will heal every time so I advise you to use the jutsu as little as possible.

Naruto shrugged and stood.

"Enjoy your day off while Kakashi's in the hospital," Tsunade stated. "I'm going to heal him this afternoon."

Naruto nodded and went outside. Just then, several dozen ninjas appeared over the horizon, flying. He could see that hey were holding onto metal constructs that kept them airborne but he had no idea how they worked or who the ninjas were and why they were there. Then, he got his answer. One of the ninjas flew over a tower and dropped a black metal ball that fell to the roof of the tower and exploded, destroying the top half of the tower. Moments later there were several more explosions before the shinobi of the Hidden Leaf could react. Finally ninja began to climb to the roofs of houses and hurl kunai and shuriken at the ninjas but the ninjas pulled out long machines that fired kunai much to fast and rapidly to avoid, similarly to Doto's train but on a smaller scale. Naruto drew his Double-Edged Sword and swung it at a group of ninja, sending a blast of wind. The wind hit them and instantly destroyed their flying devices and threw them through the air to crash down, dead. Naruto teleported away, reappearing beside Neji who had just saved several children from an explosion.

"Chakra?" Naruto questioned.

"Yes," Neji nodded.

"Terrific!" Choji groaned standing in the street below them.

Naruto looked at a roof nearby to see Shikamaru among a group of shinobi throwing kunai. Naruto separated his swords and swung one creating a tornado in front of them that blocked a volley of kunai from the enemy shinobi before slashing the other sword and blasting the enemy ninjas themselves. The rest of the groups stopped their bombings, having already decimated a large portion of the village. They began to head toward Naruto and he began to blast them down quickly. Soon enough, they began to fly over him dropping bombs which he threw out of the village. Naruto looked around seeing that the Hospital was in flames, as was they entire Uchiha compound. The Hyuga Compound, was leveled. Most of the Uchiha, however, were helping Naruto stop the bombs and kunai by all using a copy of someone or other's Wind Style Jutsu.

Then, suddenly, a large construct that looked somewhat like a boat but with oddly shaped sails that allowed it to fly.

"Neji," Naruto said. "Where is that thing getting its chakra?"

"No idea," Neji stated just as the rest of the Konoha 11 and Sai arrived.

"Stay, back," Naruto ordered. "I'll destroy it."

He sent a single massive blast of wind at it and destroyed the two shinobi flying escort. The ship itself shuddered and veered off course then righted itself back on course; toward him. As if flew over him, Naruto spun swinging his swords and launched the others away. A single ninja had been lowered from the bottom of the ship and began gathering chakra. Naruto sprinted away, not sensing any teleportation seals left within range except the one he was standing on. Suddenly, a massive ball of fire shot down from the shinobi. when it hit the roof where Naruto had been, it exploded, leveling a quarter of the village instantly. The explosion threw Naruto through three buildings until he crashed down beside Shikamaru, Sakura, and Hinata.

Before the shinobi flew away, one of them flew up the front of the building where Tsunade was watching the carnage. Two kunai smashed through the window, just barely missing her and Shizune. Then, the shinobi left.

"Naruto!" Shikamaru said urgently kneeling beside his injured friend.

Naruto groaned, and struggled to speak but no one could hear him.

"What?" Shikamaru questioned leaning down so he could hear and turning his head sideways, not seeing Naruto's grin.

"I said," Naruto breathed his grin growing with his volume. "QUIT YELLING IN MY EAR! ! !"

Shikamaru sat bolt upright holding his ear and glaring at Naruto as Hinata and Sakura laughed.

"I'll be fine," Naruto groaned standing. "For now, let's find some survivors, shall we?"

They all nodded and scattered into the village. After a few minutes, Naruto found an elderly man trying to use a massive wooden beam to lift a large chunk of rubble off of an injured man. Naruto took the beam lifting it until the rubble rolled off and he threw the beam aside.

Naruto and the elderly man rushed over to the man and Naruto decided to state the obvious to the elderly man who was feeling the other man's chest.

"He needs a doctor," Naruto stated.

"He has a punctured lung," the elderly man stated. "He'll never make it to a hospital in this state."

He opened his backpack and pulled out a box which held several medical tools. He drew a long glass tube and a scalpel, slashing a piece off to give it a sharp point.

"Not good," the elderly man muttered to himself. "It's Traumatic Pneumothorax. Air's building up inside his chest. Suffocating him."

And with that, he drove the tube into the man's chest allowing the air to escape his body.

"Good," the man smiled standing. "Now you can take him to the hospital."

"What about the guys that trashed the village?" Naruto questioned.

"Don't waste your time," the man stated looking back at him while lifting his backpack. "You'd be like a stray cat, trying to jump high enough to swat down crows. And when that cat falls, he falls hard. Right now just focus on saving lives, even if it's only one. There will be plenty of time for fighting, trust me."

Naruto lifted the injured man and took in the old doctor's appearance for the first time.

He had long grey hair that flowed out of his maroon bandanna at the back and muttonchops connected to his beard, thick, neatly trimmed, dark grey eyebrows, and yellow eyes with dark bags around them and tear troughs under them. In addition to the bandanna, he wore a black shirt with a white gi with brown and blue edges over it, a sleeveless red jacket with gold sidings over that, and simple blue pants.

"And try not to bend his chest when you carry him, Naruto," the man added as he left.

"Hey, wait!" Naruto shouted. "How the hell did he know my name?"

Naruto shook his head lifting the injured man and ran to the hospital, shocked at the level of the damage. When he arrived, the patient was taken away and Naruto stood by the window watching as the doctors rushed around, tending to the wounded, which continued to pour in, ninja and civilians alike. Sakura and Hinata were both here, Hinata using her Byakugan to check the patients for any injuries that the doctors hadn't seen. After a time, Sakura spoke up, looking over a young girl that had come in already treated to an extent.

"No way, another one?" Sakura wondered aloud as if responding to Hinata stating that a patient was stable. "Just like the one Naruto brought in. They were treated perfectly, and in the middle of a battlefield. Who could do that?"

"This old man-" Naruto began.

"It was Master Shinno!" a young boy interrupted jumping through the window. "This girl, and him! They were all treated by Doctor Shinno!"

"Master Shinno?" Naruto questioned.

"That name sounds familiar," one of the doctors said thinking.

"Hey, are you friends with that old guy or something?" Naruto questioned.

"You said you saw him," the boy snapped grabbing his shirt and slamming him into the wall. "Where? Where's the doctor now?"

"Whoa, chill out," Naruto said.

"It's my village!" the boy stated. "They're in trouble and need help. Please hurry I..."

And then, he passed out. Naruto sighed and gently set him on an empty bed nearby where Sakura checked him for injuries.

A few hours later, Naruto returned with Shinno who thanked him.

"When I found out he was your apprentice, I couldn't just leave him," Naruto stated.

"Apprentice?" Shinno questioned.

"Yeah, this kid-"

"Amaru," Shinno stated.

"Yeah, you're the great doctor Amaru talked about," Naruto stated.

"That's kind of you to say, Naruto," Shinno smiled. "I don't think I deserve such a noble title as doctor."

"Don't be so modest," Naruto grinned. "Without you, there would have been a lot more wounded people that wouldn't have survived."

"Amaru's village is on the outskirts of the Land of Fire," Shinno stated. "Even so, last night it was attacked by an unknown group of ninja. Many people were injured. Amaru came her to seek my help."

"No one knows who was behind the attack?" Naruto questioned.

Just then, Amaru stirred and opened one eye.

"Welcome back," Naruto grinned. "Look who I found."

Amaru smiled and hugged Shinno who laughed and hugged him back. Naruto yawned and went home, deciding to return in the orning since Amaru wouldn't be able to leave until at least then.
