"She found me, when Inuyasha had taken my arm. She brought me human food on more than one occasion. I told her it was pointless, I do not eat human food. She didn't speak, she was bruised and dirty. I found her later, killed by wolves. Tenseiga prompted me to save her. I left, she followed." Sesshoumaru explain slowly.

"Such a pure heart. She never cared that you were a demon. She never cared about all the hate and evil of her time. Your call to save her was wonderfully compassionate."

"Tenseiga's call." Sesshoumaru growled. Kagome jumped at the anger in his voice.

"I am sorry if I said something to upset you. It was a compliment, not an insult."

"This Sesshoumaru does not have weak human emotions."

Kagome shook her head and smiled sadly, "You are wrong, Lord Sesshoumaru. Showing compassion is not for the weak. The weak have no compassion. It is those who are the strongest that show compassion to others. Tenseiga understood, do you see that?"
