"Hmmm... that's strange."

"What?" Sesshoumaru asked. Kagome was so close she could feel his breath fan across her face, it sent shivers down her spine.

"It won't budge. Nothing. I can't open the clasp at all. I wonder if it's rusted shut or something?"

"No. It cannot be removed."

"Oh it can and it will. I don't want you bound to me forever!" Kagome fell back onto her butt.

"Hn."

"Well... I am sure you want to be bound to me even less that I want you to be bound."

"Indeed."

Kagome huffed, "Sorry I wasted your time."

"I have nothing but time."

Kagome frowned. He was right. The only thing he really had was time, he didn't even belong to himself anymore. "Why did... do you choose to be alone?"

"This Sesshoumaru needs no one."

"Everyone needs someone. Everyone want to love and be loved." Kagome said quietly as she crawled back into her sleeping bag. "Mr. Necklace, it's not over... far from over. I will win." Kagome laughed at herself for talking to a necklace. "Goodnight Lord Sesshoumaru." She whispered before rolling away from him.
