New Orders

Naruto knocked on the door and it was opened, allowing him to walk through with Hinata, both of them kneeling in front of Hiashi Hyuga.

"Naruto Uzumaki," Hiashi growled. "To what do I owe the...pleasure?"

"I came to return something to you," Naruto stated holding out the Byakugan that was contained in a jar of something or other that Minato had given him to preserve the eye. "Your brothers, according to Minato."

"You found...Hizashi's eye?" Hiashi questioned. "Where?"

"The socket of an Akatsuki spy," Naruto stated. "I thought you should probably have it back."

"Honestly, as wonderful as it is that I can put my brother to rest now, I don't want the eye back," Hiashi stated.

"I thought it was good manners to accept a gift, and to put your sibling's dismembered body parts with the rest of him," Naruto stated unsure about the other one.

"Not when that body part is being given as a gift," Hiashi stated. "I thank you for returning the Byakugan to our clan, but keep it. It will serve you better than some corpse."

"Why is it a gift?" Naruto questioned.

"A gift of good faith," Hiashi stated simply. "Although, I'm willing to bet that Hinata failed to mention the arrangement."

"So it would seem," Naruto nodded. "Although, I assume she had a good reason."

"While I agree, you are quite the loyal mutt aren't you?" Hiashi snickered. "The arrangement, was that she would marry into the second wealthiest family in the Hyuga Clan. As a result, she would live a life of wealth, ease, and would have anything she wanted. Instead, you decided to be selfish and keep her to yourself, dooming her to a life of hardship, struggle, and pain."

"So why give me a gift?" Naruto questioned. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not sorry that I feel the way I do, but if I doomed you daughter to a crappy life, why reward me?"

"Because," Hiashi smirked. "It is solely because of you that my daughter is as strong as she is. That she knows the meaning of true courage. And it is solely because of you that she will now live a life of joy, and happiness, even if not one of wealth. The gift, is my way of saying, I will allow you and Hinata to be together, so long as you swear, on your life, to protect her, whatever the cost."

"I will do my absolute best," Naruto vowed. "However, as Pein proved, my absolute best isn't always enough."

"I know," Hiashi nodded. "However, with a Byakugan, you will be more capable. Have it implanted within three days."

Naruto nodded and stood, putting the container back into his Ninja Tool Pouch. He left and Hinata left, likely heading to her room. Naruto took the eye to Shizune and Shizune could only grin.

"What would you like me to do with your natural eye?" Shizune questioned.

"Hang on to it, I guess," Naruto sighed. "In case I need it."

Shizune nodded and he and Naruto went to an operating room where she strapped him down.

"You have to be conscious but the operation hurts," Shizune stated. "It's more for my benefit, since you're a Sage."

Naruto nodded and Shizune's hand began to glow green. Naruto clamped his teeth shut and she reached down to his eye, wincing in sympathy as she forced her fingers around behind it, severing the optic nerve and pulling the eye free. Naruto remained silent as beads of sweat appeared on his temples.

"Now comes the bad part," Shizune stated and Naruto's remaining eye widened. Then, she forced her fingers into his empty eye socket, grinning the optic nerve and sending white hot, liquid pain through his body. Then, she widened her fingers, spreading the eye socket open as she forced the Byakugan into it, attaching the optic nerves. Then, she removed her fingers, pressing the dangling Byakugan into his eye socket before healing the damage her fingers had done. Then, she unstrapped his limbs.

"You okay?" Shizune questioned.

Naruto shook his head then groaned and held a hand over his new eye.

"When does it stop hurting?" Naruto croaked.

"Within a day," Shizune stated. "After that, you'll need to be trained to use it. Hinata, I'm sure, would be more than happy to help."

Naruto nodded and left the hospital, walking back to his house, deciding to rest until his eye stopped throbbing.

Naruto stepped into the Hokage's office with Fu and Minato motioned for him to close the door while glaring at Hiashi.

"You summoned us?" Naruto spoke up after a minute.

"Yes," Minato nodded looking to them and smiling apologetically. "As we are going to war, granted against thirteen people, the remaining Jinchuriki have been ordered to go to an island in the Land of Lightning to train, including Gaara."

"The giant toad with the crystal ball told me something about that," Naruto stated. "He said an octopus would lead me."

"I wouldn't doubt it," Minato sighed. "I met him once. He's...not all there. Anyway, you will be taking Yamato, Guy, and Aoba a skilled Sensor Ninja."

"That's it?" Naruto questioned.

"Yes," Minato nodded. "Why?"

"It's just...never mind," Naruto sighed.

"He wanted to take Hinata," Fu stated rolling her eyes.

"I figured," Minato nodded. "I'm afraid I'll have to refuse this time."

"Please," Naruto pleaded looking up at him. "I need to be trained to use my Byakugan anyway."

"Then take Neji," Minato suggested.

"You don't trust Naruto to keep it in his pants do you?" Fu snickered as all three males stared at her incredulously and in surprise at the same time.

"To put it bluntly," Minato sighed. "No, I don't. Naruto never really did have much discretion."

"Don't you think you and Mom beat any morals at all into me by now?" Naruto demanded.

"I do," Minato nodded. "But we never directly addressed that issue."

"Issue?" Naruto growled. "What issue?"

"If I may interject," Hiashi spoke up. "I personally would murder Naruto if he did that. And while you are Hokage, Hinata is my daughter which gives me more say than you in whether or not she accompanies Naruto. As such...she will be escorting Naruto while she teaches him to use his Byakugan and aids him in learning to control Nine-tails. She is one of the few that is in a position to actually stop one of his rampages should things go...negatively."

"Hinata is not going," Minato growled. "I need her for missions here."

"I will personally take her place," Hiashi volunteered. "I have more powerful Byakugan and more skill in battle."

"Very well," Minato sighed. "Naruto, please retrieve your girlfriend so I can tell her where she's going."

Naruto teleported away then returned a moment later with Hinata. Minato briefly explained where they would be going and why then excused everyone except Hiashi. They all left the building and found Kiba standing just outside the door.

"Can I talk to you for a minute Hinata?" Kiba growled.

"Not with that attitude you can't," Naruto replied tone exactly the same.

"I wasn't asking you Jinchuriki," Kiba spat.

"What was that?" Fu growled.

"I don't associate with filthy demon whores," Kiba snarled. "Male or female. Now Hinata, get the fuck over here."

"How about you leave before I kick your ass," Naruto growled.

"Try it asshole," Kiba snarled.

"Well well," Naruto grinned. "I think Tough Guy wants to fight. Alright Kiba. It's been a while since I kicked your ass. I'll even let you have the first move."

Hinata and Fu both walked backward as Kiba knelt. They stopped to watch as Kiba launched himself forward. He threw a punch but just before it hit, Naruto's signature orange pigmentation appeared around his eyes as he entered Sage Mode. Kiba's fist hit his cheek and his forearm bones snapped, driving themselves out through his skin. He stumbled back as Naruto gripped his throat, holding him up over his head and narrowed his eyes.

"Listen and listen carefully," Naruto growled. "You will leave Hinata alone. She is not available and even if she was, her answer would still be no. If you ever attempt to force her to be with you, threaten her, threaten one of my other friends, badmouth me and Fu, or threaten me again, I will kill you. Now, get the hell away from me."

And with that, he took a step forward and hurled Kiba. Kiba bounced off the ground several times before smashing into a wall and falling to the ground. Naruto then turned and walked away with Fu and Hinata following both looking at him in slight fear as he exited Sage Mode.

"Don't give me that look Hinata, please," Naruto sighed. "You know Kiba. He is more thick headed and stubborn than I am."

"True," Hinata sighed. "Thank you. For making him leave me alone."

"You're welcome," Naruto smiled. "Now, the others should be waiting at the gate. Let's not keep them waiting any longer."
