I do not own Naruto Shippuden or any of the characters. I know the flower thing wasn't in Shippuden at all(technically) let alone this part but I really like it.

Hard Won Meds

Naruto took a breath silently activating his Byakugan as Hinata watched with her own. Finally she nodded and Naruto grinned. It was disorienting for him to all around himself at once but eventually he had gotten the hang of it as well as seeing far away. He tried to avoid looking through things, namely clothing out of decency but aside from that, he was getting to be good at fighting with it.

"So, how's your right eye?" Yamato questioned walking out onto the deck.

"Still getting used to using it," Naruto stated. "It's more disorienting than I expected."

"Well you didn't grow up with it," Yamato shrugged. You've had it for what, three days?"

"Yeah," Naruto nodded. "Lucky friggin' Hyugas."

Hinata blushed and grinned as Naruto turned away from her. She picked up the Double-Edged Sword she had been using to train Naruto to see around himself and charging. He had had trouble seeing behind himself so far but this time when she slashed at him, he drew a kunai blocking it then spun putting the kunai to her throat.

"Very good," Hinata smiled. "You're getting better."

Naruto grinned and shrugged then looked around.

"So he has access to all of the Byakugan's powers?" Yamato questioned.

"He does," Hinata nodded. "Though he refuses to test his ability to see through things for fear he will accidentally look through someone's clothes."

"I can understand that," Yamato nodded. "Either way, we'll be meeting that storm in a few minutes."

He pointed ahead of the ship and they all saw pitch black clouds with waves easily fifty feet high below it. Naruto groaned as the crew of their small ship began rushing around them to ready the ship. Naruto and Hinata stood out of the way but remained on the deck in case Naruto's clones became necessary. Ten minutes later, the ship entered the storm and the first wave nearly left everyone on their backs. Naruto grabbed the railing and caught Hinata as she began to fall. She stood again and a wave suddenly crashed into the side of the ship hard, knocking Naruto to the ground and knocking Hinata off the ship. Naruto leapt off the ship and struggled to see but after a moment activated his Byakugan. He instantly saw exactly what he had tried not to as his lack of control activated the x-ray ability. He forced his Byakugan to see the way it was supposed to and swam down to Hinata, wrapping a hand around her waist and swimming upward with the other. After a moment, he reached the surface and hauled both of them onto the ship, Hinata coughing and gasping for breath. He took her inside the ship then returned to the deck sending clones to help the crew that were struggling themselves. After several hours, they finally left the storm as Yamato staggered up to the deck.

"Naruto," Yamato moaned miserably. "We need to get to shore. We can't take much more of this. I think Guy might have died from sea sickness."

"Sure," Naruto nodded leaving to tell the crewman steering the ship to head to the island they saw nearby.

The ship went to the island and they all left, Guy and Aoba collapsing onto the shore in relief as Yamato sat down beside them. Hinata, who wasn't seas sick, helped Naruto pull the two small boats they had taken to shore then looked around. Sakura, Sasuke, Suigetsu, and Karin were all walking out of the trees and looked over at them in surprise.

"Naruto?" Sakura questioned. "What are you doing her?"

Naruto looked at Guy and Aoba and Sakura nodded grinning. "I see. Well, while you're here, you want to help us find some medical herbs?"

"Sure," Naruto nodded. "You coming?"

"Sure," Hinata and Fu both replied nodding and grinning, Fu eyeing up Sasuke.

They all walked into the trees and Sasuke began falling back, Naruto and Suigetsu both doing the same suspecting what was wrong. Fu raised and eyebrow at Karin who jabbed a thumb at Sakura. Fu nodded and rolled her eyes then continued with the rest of the girls.

"Let me guess," Naruto grinned. "Sakura's still mad at you for leaving."

"Yeah," Sasuke nodded.

"Talk to her," Naruto stated simply.

"And say what?" Sasuke questioned.

"Do we really need to play love guru with you?" Suigetsu questioned. "Just tell her you like her. Hell, lead her to a secluded area and make it the best day of her life. Worked when Karin got mad at me the other day."

"You did not!" Naruto snorted.

"True," Suigetsu admitted sadly. "I was too busy running for my life. I wish I had though."

"You're not helping," Sasuke grumbled.

"Just apologize to Sakura and tell her you like her," Naruto suggested. "She's still in love with you so you shouldn't have a problem getting her to date you. And if not, by some miracle, there's always Fu."

"I don't like Fu," Sasuke growled before sighing. "Fine. I'll try."

They reached a large field where the girls were looking for something, likely a flower. Sakura walked over and showed them what to look for and Suigetsu and Naruto walked away, staying close enough to listen.

"U-um, S-Sakura?" Sasuke stammered nervously, something Naruto had to hold a hand over his mouth to keep from laughing about

"Yes?" Sakura sighed exasperatedly.

"I-I'm s-"

"Sakura!" Fu called out. "You should see this."

Sakura sighed and walked over then looked back at the field from the top of the hill.

"You could see the flowers from here," Fu pointed out. "There aren't any here."

"What was that?" Naruto laughed as he and Suigetsu walked over, Suigetsu practically falling over laughing.

"Shut up idiot!" Sasuke growled. "We can't all date the girl for two and a half years before figuring out we were."

"Funny," Naruto snickered. "I'm going to have to agree with Suigetsu now that I saw how bad you are at talking about your feelings. Just find a secluded spot and go at it."

Sasuke smacked him upside the head and Naruto and Suigetsu laughed before they walked through the field after the girls. After a few minutes, they reached a field of stones and rubble. Once again Sakura showed them what to look for, a mushroom this time, and once again Sasuke tried to talk to her.

"S-sorry f-for leaving th-the v-village," Sasuke managed to force out.

"It's alright," Sakura sighed. "I understand."

"G-g-good," Sasuke stammered as she turned to walk away. "W-wait!"

"What is it?" Sakura asked turning back to him.

"I-I-I-I-I-I l-l-l-l-l-l-l..." Sasuke's face turned red at him making a fool of himself and still being unable to speak. "I-I-I...think there might be some over there."

He pointed at random and out of pure coincidence, Sakura found a handful of the mushrooms there.

"Good call Sasuke," Sakura commented walking away.

"Dude," Suigetsu snickered walking over. "That was pathetic."

"Hey, give him credit, he managed to apologize," Naruto snickered.

"Shut up," Sasuke growled in annoyance.

"I'll have Karin help if you want," Suigetsu grinned.

"No!" Sasuke shouted slapping Suigetsu and getting himself wet.

"Maybe you should take your shirt off," Naruto snickered. "She'd be so busy staring at your body it would be like you were talking to a brick wall anyway."

"Shut up!" Sasuke shouted taking a swing at Naruto who jumped out of the way laughing.

"Are you three coming or not?" Karin shouted and Naruto and Suigetsu laughed walking over.

"What do you suppose those three are up to?" Sakura questioned.

"Those three?" Karin snorted. "God only knows. You might want to check you sleeping bags."

"Good idea," Fu snorted.

They all left the area, reaching a bridge that led across a massive chasm. The bridge itself wasn't very safe in appearance but the rope they would normally hold onto had thorns wrapped around it that Sakura said would cause paralysis. Naruto crossed first, careful not to touch the rope with Hinata following, then Suigetsu, Fu, Karin, Sakura, and finally Sasuke. Just as he reached the far end, the bridge collapsed. Sasuke, who still had one foot on the bridge, began to fall but Sakura caught him, hurling him away from the gap and into Naruto, both of them slamming into a tree which broke.

"Ow," Naruto groaned. "Unnecessary."

They stood as golden dust began to float out of the trees, forming a cloud around them. Hinata activated her Byakugan and her eyes widened.

"Naruto, its-"

"I know," Naruto interrupted having sensed it already. "Chakra."

Suddenly, the dust condensed into a small cloud floating just in front of the remains of the bridge. There was probably a hundred feet between the trees and the bridge and the clear strip they were standing in extended well over three hundred feet along the top of the cliff.

"Stay back," Naruto ordered stepping out in front of them. "I'll handle whatever this is."

"Where's the ninja using it?" Karin questioned.

"It's not," Naruto stated. "It came out of flowers about a hundred feet into the trees."

"Flowers?" Sakura questioned. "Oh, Jofuku Flowers! They're what we're after. Come on Karin, Fu."

The three of them ran into the trees as Naruto took another step forward as he sensed three more clouds form from the flowers and the one in front of him solidified, forming Danzo.

"Oh shit," Naruto muttered. "Sakura, Karin, Fu! Come back! Don't go near the flowers!"

The fake Danzo in front of him was completely gold but had no visible pupils. He leaned back then forward and three spheres of gold dust shot out of his mouth. They all dodged them and the spheres crashed through the trees.

"Damn!" Naruto swore landing and drawing his Sword of Kusanagi. "Stay back!"

Naruto sprinted forward and jumped over Danzo, slashing at him and removing his head. Danzo fell into dust again which blew a distance away before reforming, one of the barely visible eyes on his arm fading.

"You've got to be kidding me," Naruto groaned. "It's got Izanagi?"

"That's cheating!" Sasuke spat.

"HELP!" Fu shrieked as she, Karin, and Sakura all sprinted out of the trees, gold replicas of Kisame, Orochimaru, and Suigetsu chasing them.

"Alright, which one's afraid of me?" Suigetsu sighed drawing his sword as Sasuke drew both of his, Naruto having trained him to fight with two swords, and both stepped forward to protect the girls.

"Well, remember that time you got super mad at me?" Karin questioned nervously.

"Oh, Karin!" Suigetsu groaned. "Give me a break!"

Naruto growled in frustration as the fake Danzo blocked a stab from his elongated sword and created his Three Clone Squad, who were armed with the Garian Sword, a Rasengan and Temujin's Sword, and the Double-Edged Swords. He then created a clone who drew his Crow Blade and a kunai, creating a Vacuum Blade on them both before charging at Orochimaru who had a recreation of his sword in his hand.

The four recreations held their own spectacularly, none of them at the full power of the originals, of course, but all seeming exactly as strong as whoever they were fighting. Hinata eventually drew her Sword of the Thunder God and charged at the fake Danzo, bisecting him only for him to disintegrate and reform.

"That's eleven," Naruto stated gasping for breath. "This one's...the last one."

The fake Danzo charged at Naruto and Naruto created a Rasengan, slamming it into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. Hinata activated her Byakugan and bisecting Danzo again, this time when he exploded into dust, the dust scattered before flying to the other three, all three instantly speeding up and beginning to force the others back. Naruto growled in frustration as his Three Clone Squad restrained the fake Suigetsu and Orochimaru, both of them being killed before the Naruto clones all disappeared and Suigetsu and Naruto turned to the fake Kisame who had taken all of the dust from the rest of the fakes, now strong enough to rival the actual Kisame.

"Please tell me the sword doesn't absorb chakra," Naruto pleaded.

"It does," Sasuke nodded. "Let's hit him with that one."

Naruto nodded and sprinted to Sasuke as Suigetsu kept the fake Kisame busy.

"Should have brought Samehada," Suigetsu growled as he jumped back from a swing, landing beside Naruto and Sasuke who had formed a Chidori Rasengan. "You're up."

Naruto crouched, readying the Rasengan just as Samehada shot up from the cliff, wrapping itself around Naruto and absorbing the Rasengan before channeling chakra it had collected from something or other into him.

"Why did you take my jutsu?" Naruto questioned and Samehada's mouth, located on the tip of the blade reached up and licked his cheek before shooting over to Suigetsu, arranging itself in his empty hand.

"Guess he was hungry," Suigetsu shrugged putting his Executioner's Blade away. "You or me?"

"Give Samehada his snack," Naruto sighed.

Suigetsu sprinted forward, slashing at the fake Kisame who blocked the slash. They all waited and at first nothing happened until the fake Samehada fell away and a moment later the fake Kisame did the same, the remaining dust blowing away.

"Finally," Naruto sighed. "Let's go get the Jofuku Flowers."

They walked through the trees to a clearing with hundreds of rainbow-colored flowers. Sakura and Karin quickly collected them then left to the beach, working their way back around to the jonin Naruto, Fu, and Hinata had left behind.

"Tell her dude," Suigetsu whispered to Sasuke.

"Shut up!" Sasuke replied in a hushed tone.

Finally they reached the beach and Fu and Hinata went to check on the others.

"Last chance dude," Suigetsu whispered.

Sasuke sighed and walked over to Sakura and began trying to tell her the truth. After about a minute of him saying absolutely noting coherent, Suigetsu and Naruto nodded to each other.

"Hopeless," Naruto grinned.

They walked over to the pair and shoved them toward each other. Sasuke and Sakura's faces smashed together resulting in them kissing, exactly as Suigetsu and Naruto had planned. Rather than pulling away, Sakura and Sasuke simply stood there kissing.

"Well, now that that's settled, see you around Suigetsu," Naruto said waving as he walked over to the others.

As he looked back, Samehada leapt onto the ship as it began to pull away, wrapping around him and wagging its handle like a tail.

"That's a little trippy," Fu stated.

Naruto nodded and took a hold of Samehada's grip, the sword returning to its weapon form as Naruto handed it to Fu.

"Give it a bit of your chakra so it knows who you are," Naruto instructed.

Fu did as instructed and Samehada quivered for a moment.

"You going to teach me to use this thing?" Fu questioned.

"Of course," Naruto grinned. "I'd hate for you to have to rely on its ability to absorb chakra, like Kisame."

Fu laughed and set the sword down as Naruto tossed her his Double-Edged Swords. Hinata picked up Samehada, deciding to keep it away from the two Jinchuriki. Then, she leaned against the railing to watch.
