Chapter 14 – Draco meet Car, Car meet Draco.
"What is this?" Draco asked curiously as he eyed the blue Toyota.
"It's a car." Hermione laughed.
"Is that meant to explain things? What's a 'car'?"
"You can't be serious? Wizards do have cars, except they fly."
"Oh! You mean automobiles! Yes we have them; I've just never… seen one." Draco said as he eyed the car.
Hermione couldn't contain her small giggles as she opened the door for him.
"You don't seriously expect me to get in that thing do you."
Hermione let out a sigh of annoyance, "Just get in the car Draco."
His mouth twisted into a pucker as he slowly got into the car. Hermione shut the door and got in the other side only to find Draco playing with the seat belt.
"It's a seat belt."
"Why do seat's need belts? They don't wear pants."
This time both of Hermione's parents laughed as well.
"No, it's to protect you if we crash –"
"We're gonna crash!?" Draco exclaimed in horror
"No! It's just a precaution. Here." Hermione said as she reached over and brought the seat belt across his chest, buckling it in for him. She gave him a warm smile as she pressed her hand against his chest, "See, that's all it is."
Draco gave her a small smile back as she sat back in her seat and put her own seat belt on. Hermione couldn't help but notice how Draco was clutching onto the end of the seatbelt as if they were about to crash and couldn't help but think, 'This is going to be an interesting holiday.'
