Seventeen Reasons To Hate Your Life
Naruto cracked his neck as he held his arm out, the key formula that his father had given to him through Gerotora to unseal the Tetragram seal holding Kurama. B had explained how to take the Tailed Beasts' to the three Jinchuriki in training, as well as the risks involved with it. Kurama rumbled with excitement at the thought of being able to take his freedom. and Naruto undid the seal. Kurama instantly bashed the door open and charged out, Naruto flying back as his chakra manifested in a spectral shadow version of himself extending from his left shoulder.
"You mean to take my chakra," Kurama growled only now understanding Naruto's intention. "As much as I enjoy destroying your enemies, I'm afraid this is where our partnership ends. I'll just have to find another Jinchuriki."
"This is my head," Naruto stated. "Powerful or not, you're not able to escape without beating me first."
"Is that right?" Kurama chuckled sitting down and grinning wickedly. "Not in this place."
With that, Kurama roared and Naruto covered his ears, his eyes going dark from pain. When the roar ended, Naruto blinked, his vision returning to see pink-tinted clouds and a horrified Yamato, Hinata, and B. Fu and Gaara were both as disoriented and confused as him. Then, he realized that all three Jinchuriki still had their chakra shadows. They turned slowly and saw Shukaku, Kurama, and Chomei standing, or rather floating, in Chomei's case, side-by-side a short distance from them, all watching their respective Jinchuriki.
"Please tell me this is just a super strong Genjutsu," Naruto muttered.
"No," B stated shaking his head. "They broke free. They are not fully free until you three are dead so you three must use your chakra to pull them back into you before taking their chakra."
"I suppose we also have to do it alone," Naruto sighed.
"No," B said shaking his head. "Out here, I can help restrain them."
B entered his full Tailed Beast form and shot out his tentacles but before they got to the three Tailed Beasts, all three added their chakra together forming a massive Tailed Beast and launching it. Naruto quickly formed a Teleportation Barrier and the Tailed Beast ball teleported to a kunai he had thrown away and exploded launching them all away, B reverting to his human form.
"Damn," Naruto growled creating and firing several spectral blades at the three Tailed Beasts, all of which shattered on impact.
"This is bad," Naruto muttered.
"What was your first clue?" Fu questioned.
Naruto rolled his eyes and knelt spreading thousands of teleportation seals around the room then created his Three Clone Squad, all of whom entered Sage Mode before drawing their weapons.
"Shall we?" Naruto growled holding his Crow Blade and Temujin's sword.
The clone with the Garian Blades shot them out, wrapping them around Kurama while the one with the Double-Edged Swords sent a massive blast of Nature Energy infused wind at Kurama while Shukaku and Chomei both leapt away. Naruto stuck his Crow Blade into the ground and stepped over and putting his combined Double-Edged Swords in an "X" across that of the clone who grinned. A moment later, a Rasenshuriken formed between the points of the blade and then shot out when they wrenched their swords apart. The Rasenshuriken flashed along the ground at Kurama but instead of hitting him, it was swallowed up by sand which then expanded before everything settled.
"Damn," Naruto growled as the clone exited Sage Mode and Naruto put his Double-Edged Sword away before picking up his Crow Blade. "Alright. We'll have to do this the painful way."
The other clones nodded just as their weakened ally re-entered Sage Mode. The four of them all began teleporting around in a blur and at random before randomly appearing beside one of the Tailed Beasts and attacking it with either a jutsu or a blade. After a moment, they began firing ranged attacks at them as well but after a couple of minutes Naruto returned to the other two Jinchuriki as his clones disappeared from lack of chakra.
"Damn it's hard to fight without a Tailed-Beasts extra chakra," Naruto growled. "Guess I should have been more careful."
"No time to regret using what power we were given now," Fu stated. "Let's go."
Naruto nodded tossing her his Double-Edged Swords then glanced sideways to see her unraveling the thing on her back, the swords stuck in the ground at her sides.
"Unlike you," Fu grinned. "I can't teleport myself instantaneously. I also can't make clones as fast as you or as easily. However. My clones all had a bit of Chomei's chakra when I made them. Coupled with my Kekkei Genkai, makes for an instant army."
She unrolled the scroll she had taken from her back revealing exactly seven seal circles all of which were only half full.
"What is your Kekkei Genkai?" Naruto questioned and Fu only grinned.
"Hidden Technique, Pillars of Light!" Fu said forming three hand seals before holding her arms out over the scroll.
Each seal instantly released a beam of light extending twenty feet into the air before fading. A moment later, the beams unfurled into a paper-thin rectangle of light as long as the scroll and a blinding white. Naruto took a step back to stand opposite the Tailed Beasts where Gaara and Fu were waiting.
"Shame you weren't there to train with her," Gaara smirked. "I was."
Suddenly thousands of Fu clones exploded out of the rectangle and there were about a hundred Sand Clones of Gaara among them. The clones all had katanas, with the exception of three of the Gaara clones, and were using them to attack the three Tailed Beasts. For the most part it seemed to not have any effect but it did distract the three Tailed Beasts long enough for the real Jinchuriki to reach them and attach their chakra before leaping back. The three Tailed Beasts roared and the clones were all blasted into oblivion before three Naruto Clones in Sage Mode appeared behind the Tailed Beasts, slamming Rasengans the size of Shukaku into their backs. The blasts disoriented the Tailed Beasts and allowed the Jinchuriki to drag them back into themselves then follow them in.
Naruto appeared in front of the cage with Kurama growling at him from inside the cage. Naruto merely grinned.
"Down Boy," Naruto ordered as two clones with Rasengans the same size as the ones that had briefly incapacitated the Tailed Beasts in the real world leapt into the cage blasting him again.
When the smoke cleared, Kurama leapt over Naruto and landed on all fours, a Tailed Beast Ball already formed and ready to fire. Just as he did, the Eight-tails' hand shot out of the floor catching the attack and turning into its head before deflating, smoke curling out of its nostrils.
"You're on your own," B stated. "Good luck."
Naruto used his physical body being motionless to enter Sage Mode and leapt into the air, creating a dozen clones who all formed massive Rasengans. Then, he slammed them into Kurama, launching him backward into the wall. Then, Kurama stood again.
Naruto drew his Double-Edged Sword and blasted Kurama so hard Kurama was pinned against the wall for a moment before collapsing. Naruto leapt forward, placing a hand on Kurama's forehead and latching on with his chakra shroud before leaping back and grinning. Kurama's chakra began to separate from him, flowing into Naruto. After a moment however, Kurama grinned and the chakra between the two turned blood red. Instantly Naruto's left eye turned black with a red iris.
"You can't defeat me," Kurama growled. "Now give up."
Naruto squeezed his eyes shut as his chakra began to be dragged out of his body. Images flashed through his head. His family. His friends. He opened his eyes and saw Kurama's victorious smile.
I failed, Naruto thought as his vision began to fade.
"NARUTO!"
Hinata! Naruto thought his vision snapping into focus and his chakra slowing slightly. Fuck. Her and Mom would kill me if I died here.
Naruto leaned forward groaning then stood up straight again, the chakra moving to be connected to his stomach instead of his shoulder then held his hands out to his sides screaming in agony as chakra chains shot out along with a pint of blood. The chains wrapped themselves around Kurama pinning him before two that were wrapped around his right leg yanked toward Naruto and Kurama collapsed. Naruto created dozens of clones who all entered Sage Mode and formed massive Rasengans.
"Massive Rasengan Barrage!" Naruto shouted slamming them into Kurama.
Kurama roared in anger before another clone leapt out of the smoke with a Rasenshuriken.
"Take this!" the clone shouted. "Wind Style, Rasenshuriken!"
He slammed it into Kurama as the blood red chakra turned blue again. The explosion hurled Kurama away, his chakra staying put before flowing into Naruto His body was instantly covered in golden flames, his red and black cloak burning away in seconds as his entire body, skin, clothes, and hair began to glow with golden flames. His eyes were orange with a normal pupil and the seal appeared on his stomach. Six tomoe appeared around his neck on the front with a triangle appeared below the spiral seal on Naruto abdomen, a spiral appeared on each shoulder, and black markings appeared on his front and back connecting the two spirals on his shoulders with another piece extending down his front from there and splitting over his seal then continuing halfway down each thigh.
"No way," Naruto muttered. "And to think I left enough for you to survive."
Kurama pushed himself up growling as spheres of blue and red chakra appeared over it.
"That's about enough," Naruto growled placing his hand over his seal and twisting.
Several Torii dropped on Kurama, nine smaller ones pinning his tails, two larger ones pinning his body, then several massive ones that formed the walls of his new cage before the open spots filled in and the Torii restraining Kurama all faded allowing him to move around inside his cage, which was much larger than the one he had been in before.
"Sorry about that Kurama," Naruto grinned. "I just figured it would be better to make sure that you didn't kill us both."
And with that, he returned to the real world. Gaara was half covered with Shukaku's sand shroud and experimenting with covering more or less of his body. Fu was practicing shifting between levels of her Seven-tails cloak and B was explaining it to her since he had practice with it. All of them stopped when Naruto opened his eyes and the golden flames sprang to life in the real world.
"Wow," Yamato blinked. "I take it you won."
"Barely," Naruto snorted. "But yes. I won."
"Good," Gaara nodded.
"So," Naruto spoke up cracking his knuckles. "Now that I've beat the Nine-tails, You can come out of Samehada now, Kisame."
B tossed Samehada into the air, the sword falling toward the ground but before it could land, a pair of feet sprouted from the bottom, the sword rising and revealing more and more of Kisame before Kisame took a hold of the grip and lifted the sword off of him, resting it on his shoulder.
"How did you sense me?" Kisame questioned wearing only a pair of blue pants and sandals.
"Negative emotions," Naruto stated. "Kurama can sense them. Using his chakra, so can I. Your chakra may match Samehada's but your thoughts do not. Samehada, come here or no chakra."
Samehada instantly sprouted spikes out of its handle making Kisame drop it then shot over to Naruto who gave it the chakra around his right hand before the shroud reformed and B took Samehada.
"You choose them over me?" Kisame spat. "Fine. I have what I want anyway."
Kisame moved his foot to the left a hair and a circle sunk into the floor the door opening. He darted away but Naruto appeared over him, feet smashing into the floor before his fist crashed into Kisame pinning him.
"Get...off!" Kisame shouted kicking Naruto with barely any effect.
Naruto's grip did loosen, however, just enough for Kisame to escape through the open door.
"That wasn't your teleportation Jutsu was it?" Gaara questioned.
"No," Naruto grinned trying to lift his foot. "I r...fuck. My foot's stuck."
"Looks like he's not used to his abilities yet," Yamato sighed. "B, go after Kisame with Fu and Lord Gaara. I'll help Naruto."
B nodded and he, Gaara, and Fu all sprinted out after Kisame finding him pinned in the wall from an attack by Guy. Just as they landed, Kisame grabbed Samehada, forcing him to channel chakra from the three Jinchuriki to himself before vanishing, as he darted through the trees. Guy followed, Sixth Gate open and a moment later, Gaara was on his feet again, sand shroud gone but able to stand while the other two had their chakra shrouds inactive leaving them barely conscious. Gaara chased Kisame and Guy to the shore finding them just as there was a massive explosion. Gaara hid behind a stone spike as the concussion shot past and when it cleared he looked back to see Guy holding a scroll and standing over Kisame. After a moment, he smashed his fist into Kisame before picking him up.
"Hello Lord Gaara," Guy greeted walking past him. "Thanks for coming."
Gaara blinked in surprise then shook his head following Guy back to the others.
