A/N: You guys have me laughing with some of your reviews! I never expected people to HATE Kati and Lili so much, but it seems many do! They aren't bad people, they just generally care for Kagome. Remember, they don't know she is a trained Miko and they don't know that she used to travel to the past and be put in far more dangerous situations. They don't know that she 'knows' Sesshoumaru (I use know very loosely as she doesn't really know him). It is wonderful that my characters can invoke so much from my readers! Chapter 110: Little lies
Kagome could see Ian jogging towards them over Liliane's shoulder, he had obviously just exited her apartment. She wasn't happy about the fact that he was IN her apartment. She had to resist the urge to growl. "I don't want to see him..." she mumbled.
"Why not?" Lili asked, trying to stifle her tears.
"Dear Kagome, thank god nothing happened to you. I was so worried about you, my love." Ian stated making to hug her.
Kagome placed her hands up in front of her to block him. Placing them on his chest she pushed him away.
"Kagome? Are you okay?" Liliane asked with a very confused look.
"I am fine, Lili. Go back over to Kati for a few minutes, please. Ian and I need a moment of privacy."
"Yeah, sure." Lili gave her a puzzling look before walking back to her sister who was still talking to a police officer.
"I am so happy you are safe, dear." Ian said, trying to embrace her.
Kagome backed up. "I am not your 'dear'."
Ian glanced over Kagome, at Sesshoumaru, "Is he going to leave?"
"What he does is not your concern! This has nothing to do with him. This is about you being a cheating, lying bastard." Kagome stated.
"Where did you hear this vicious rumor that I have cheated on you?" Ian asked. "I assure you, I have not."
"I don't believe your little lies anymore."
"Who told you this blatant lie?"
"Someone I trust complete. The 'who' isn't nearly as important as the 'what' they told me. What part of my text was unclear to you? We are over. We are done. I want nothing more to do with you. I do not want to see you again, for any reason." Kagome made to walk around him, but Ian grabbed her arm.
"You don't mean that."
"Take your hands off me immediately!" Kagome tried to pull her arm out of his grasp. He wouldn't let go, and it was beginning to hurt a little.
"Talk to me. We can work this out." Ian pleaded.
"There is nothing to workout, Ian. Now, release me." Kagome pulled her arm again, trying to free it.
"Release her." Sesshoumaru stated after Kagome's failed attempt to remove him.
"Stay out of it! This is not your concern." Ian barked up at Sesshoumaru.
Kagome took the moment of distraction to pull her arm free, " YOU DO NOT... I repeat, do not talk to him like that!" Kagome poked her finger into Ian's chest. "He is my friend, he has a right to say whatever he wants. You, however, do not. You are not welcome here. Now leave before I have you arrested."
"You choose him, over me?" Ian asked.
"In a heartbeat. Leave!" Kagome crossed her arms over her chest.
"You will regret choosing him over me." Ian smirked, before turning and leaving.
"Debatable." Kagome said to his retreating back.
