Well hello everyone. So when I first rewrote the first part of this story I only planned for it to be a one shot. But in a review schleifchen asked if I would write a second part, so this is for you :) please review everyone. Reviews make me write more

Neville was awake even though it was two in the morning. He wasn't really surprised. He and Luna had slept through most of the day anyway. The small blonde was passed out next to him in his bed. She wouldn't miss him for a few minutes he decided, as he climbed out of bed.

He walked into the bathroom only to find someone else already there. Ginny stood her hands gripping each side of the sink. "Gin, you ok?" Neville asked quietly. She jumped slightly and turned to look at him. Neville had sense of déjà vu as they stood like this. Ginny had moved into the seventh year boys dorm right at the beginning of the year. It had only been Neville and Seamus in there as Harry, Ron and Dean hadn't returned in September. Ginny had come up one night looking for comfort after a nightmare and had stayed in their dorm most nights until she too went into hiding.

"I'm scared I'm going to wake up and this all be a dream," Ginny muttered as Neville slipped an arm around her shoulder. "Its not a dream ok? I know that is both a good and bad thing but its not a dream Ginny," he whispered to her as she wiped her eyes.

After a few moments she looked up at him. "So you and Luna? Was wondering when you two would get together," she smiled weakly and Neville flushed. "You should get back to bed you know," Neville murmured. "Harry will worry if he wakes up and you aren't there," he added. Ginny nodded and smiled slightly at the mention of Harry. "Thank you for all you did for me this year Neville," Ginny said, hugging him then leaving the bathroom. Neville followed her out a moment later and crawled back into bed next to Luna. He feel asleep soon after.

Hours later, at a more reasonable time of the morning, the silence in the dorm was shattered by a piercing scream. Neville shot up and Luna looked around confused. Realising the scream came from somewhere else in the room Neville jumped out of bed. The screaming had been replaced by sobbing which was coming from Seamus' bed. Neville rushed over and pulled back the curtain to see if his room mate was ok, Harry on his heels.

The Irish boy was obviously deeply distressed but what ever nightmare he had been having. He cried out again, a name that was barely recognisable. But Neville knew who he was calling for, it had not been uncommon for Seamus to call the name of his best friend. He turned towards the bed that should have been Deans that year to find the curtains open and the boy hurrying over.

"Seamus, hey I'm here it's ok," Dean said as he sat on the bed next to his best friend. Neville turned away to see Harry standing there still, looking slightly unsure. "Leave them be," Neville murmured, pulling the curtains closed. "they have missed each other,"

Neville sat down on the edge of his bed and tucked some of Lunas hair behind her ear. "How did you sleep my love?" he asked softly. She smiled at him. "I think the nargles kept away. Is it time to get up?" She asked. "well it's 8:30 so we should probably head to breakfast soon," Neville suggested and Luna nodded, getting out of bed and heading into the bathroom.

She returned a few minutes later and they headed to breakfast. The castle was in a better state than it had been the morning before but still did not feel like the place that had been Nevilles second home for seven years. He could tell Luna felt the same as she squeezed his hand tightly.

They sat down in the Great Hall together. There were people all around them; students, exstudents, parents, aurors and order members. All types of people. People were laughing, crying and grieving together. Neville turned to Luna.

"Do you want to start searching for your father today?" he asked. She shook her head. "I'm going to put his name on the list of people missing. I'd rather stay here and help rebuild," she said and Neville nodded. They turned back to their breakfast as the others from Neville's dorm joined them.

Ginny and Harry sat so close to each they were practically occupying the same space. Ron looked as proud as he could be to be holding Hermione's hand while she blushed. Dean and Seamus seemed no different except Neville was pretty sure they were playing footsie under the table.

The conversation was strained as everyone tried to avoid talking about the war. They spoke about going home and their families until Neville coughed and gestured to Luna who was back in her own world. Ginny, who was opposite Dean suddenly glared up at him and Seamus. "If your going to play footsie I don't care. But stop kicking me," she snapped. Seamus' face flushed and Neville was pretty sure Deans chocolate coloured skin got darker too. They all laughed at the two boys who silently ceased their game.

Neville knew that the next few days, weeks and months would be hard. But he also knew he had lots of people who would stand by him and support each other. Luna smiled up at him and he leaned down to kiss her cheek. "I'll take care of you,"
