"I'm hungry! Are you hungry?" Kagome announced.

Sesshoumaru just looked at her.

"Ooook... are you sure? I have steak, no harm in trying it... I can leave it raw if you prefer. If you don't like it... I'll cook it and eat it myself." Kagome tried to persuade him while chewing her lower lip.

"Raw is acceptable." Sesshoumaru spoke after several minutes in a monotone voice.

Kagome squealed with delight, hopping up from the couch and hurrying off into the kitchen. She pulled steak from the fridge. She gathered some rice and some green beans. There was a first time for everything.

"Would you like rice and green beans, Lord Sesshoumaru?" She called from the kitchen.

"No." She heard him reply. She frowned slightly, but just the fact that Sesshoumaru had agreed to eat at all put her in a good mood. She felt like they were making steady progress. This pleased her to no end.

She quickly cooked the rice and green beans, while grilling up her own steak on the stovetop. She got down two plates, placed the other raw steak on one, before piling her own food on the other.
