Kagome placed his plate down on the coffee table, followed by her. Next to each, she placed a few napkins and laid a fork and knife down. "You you like something to drink, Lord Sesshoumaru?"

"Water." He responded.

Kagome felt like she might faint from utter shock. Not only did he agree to eat with her, but had accepted a drink as well. ~Maybe I really am dead!? Or Sesshoumaru has been replaced by aliens!? More than likely the first option! I must have a horrible fever and I am hallucinating this whole evening! Yes, that is it! I got sick in the woods from the cold and rain, and now I am slowly succumbing to a fever. Clearly the only reasonable explaination!~ Kagome mused while she got a cold bottle of water from the fridge.

Kagome returned and placed the drinks down, knelt opposite Sesshoumaru, at her own plate.

Sesshoumaru watched carefully before mimicking her actions. ~He must be used to eating with his hands... or chopsticks? Say something, you moron.~

"Lord Sesshoumaru, would you prefer chopsticks?" Kagome asked. "Or you can eat with your hands, I don't mind."

"I am not an animal."
