I do not own Naruto Shippuden or any of the characters. Starting now, the newest Akatsuki will be called the Thirteen.
Not Enough
Naruto crouched behind the brush and looked out cautiously. The Akatsuki was assembled before them. Not the thirteen members that had apparently sworn to kill them, this group was Kisame, Tendo Pein, Konan, Deidara, Kakuzu, Hidan, Sasori's true form, Danzo, and Orochimaru. Madara was not among them but Naruto's attention was on Pein and Konan. Konan was currently kneeling beside him and Nagato was crouching to her other side.
"What the Hell," Naruto whispered.
"No clue," Nagato replied. "Must be clones or something."
"We'll handle them," Fu stated over the communicators. "Jinchuriki vs the Akatsuki."
"Deal," Naruto replied. "The rest of you will be back up if we need it."
The "rest" meant Nagato, Konan, Yugao, Sakura, Hinata, Neji, Tenten, Sasuke, Kakashi, Yamato, and Kurostuchi the granddaughter of the Tsuchikage. The others all agreed and Naruto, Gaara, B, and Fu stood grinning and tapping into their Tailed Beasts Power. B was at four tails in Version One of his chakra shroud, Fu was at five tails and also Version One, Gaara had half his body covered in sand, and Naruto, having only one form, was glowing with golden flames. The four Jinchuriki dropped into the clearing the Akatsuki were standing in and were instantly faced by the enemies.
"All four missing Jinchuriki at once," Danzo sneered. "I told you they were as stupid as ever."
"So true," Pein nodded. "I will take the Nine-tails with Danzo. The rest of you may kill whom you like."
The Akatsuki all charged forward, the Jinchuriki all grinning as they met the charge. B easily bisected Hidan with a Lariat then drew his swords and began going after Konan, who turned into a storm of paper shuriken, flying at him. While B fended off Konan, Fu was attacking Deidara and Sasori with Gaara hurling Sand shuriken at them in between attacks to Kisame and Kakuzu. Orochimaru stood back watching and grinning.
After a few minutes, Naruto kicked Pein in the throat, his foot exploding out of the back and getting stuck instantly.
"Son of a bitch!" Naruto cursed drawing his Sword of Kusanagi in time to block a slash from Orochimaru's. "Oh that is cheating."
Naruto threw a kick at Danzo who leapt back only to have Pein's now headless body fly after him. Naruto kicked the head at Orochimaru who cut it in half then spun, the blade shooting forward and through Fu, protruding from her stomach and entering Sasori's core. Sasori dropped as Orochimaru retracted the blade, Naruto sprinting to help Fu only to have Danzo step in his way, slashing at his throat.
Naruto ducked under the blade and hurled himself forward, placing his hand on Fu and sending a pulse of chakra to her. Her eyes snapped open, her Version Two shroud instantly covering her at six tails as her hand shot past Naruto's head catching Danzo's blade. Naruto, now without a shroud, since he didn't want to wast Kurama's chakra, released his clone and entered Sage Mode, spinning as he formed a Rasengan and blasted Danzo in the face, the body vanishing. Deidara suddenly dropped a massive clay statue with its arms spread.
"B, blast it!" Naruto shouted pointing.
"Busy!" B replied, body covered in scratches and with his feet wrapped in papers that were all explosive tags.
"Damn!" Naruto swore drawing his Double-Edged Swords and blasting the paper shuriken and explosive tags away from B who sent a massive lightning bolt at the statue which instantly disintegrated.
Then, B was swarmed once again, Fu moving to aid him as Gaara moved from Kisame's body to attack Deidara. Kakuzu shot out of the ground at Naruto who spun slamming a Massive Rasengan into his face, obliterating his body. Then, Naruto bent over backward as both Orochimaru and Danzo's swords passed over him. Naruto stood and kicked Orochimaru away then created a clone while he fought Danzo with his sword. After a moment, he jumped over a slash, kicking Danzo away and his clone instantly helped him form a Rasenshuriken that he spun and hurled at Orochimaru who was beside Kisame. Orochimaru opened his mouth and a massive white snake shot out as the Rasenshuriken killed Kisame. Naruto tapped back into Kurama's chakra and caught Orochimaru by the tail, leaping into the air and spinning, swinging Orochimaru around before letting go and sending him crashing into Deidara. Gaara instantly smashed his hand through Deidara's stomach before being smashed away by Orochimaru's tail. Konan reformed behind Naruto, wrapping him in a paper cocoon before he sent a pulse of Kurama's chakra away from himself, the chakra lighting Konan on fire and burning her away to nothing. Naruto fell toward Danzo creating a Massive Rasengan and extending a chakra arm from his back. The Chakra Arm caught Danzo and slammed him into the Rasengan which instantly sucked him in before he vanished again.
Fu and B moved to fight Orochimaru who had regrown a body. Orochimaru merely grinned and bit his thumb, wiping the blood across the ground in front of him.
"Summoning, Impure World Reincarnation!" Orochimaru hissed.
Smoke instantly filled the clearing and when it cleared, there were five coffins in front of him. The first fell open and revealed a boy around Naruto's age with shoulder-length black hair, a white gi over black sleeves, the right longer than the left, white pants, and a black sleeveless robe with only one shoulder strap on the left side. The boy opened his eyes, raising his head as everyone, Danzo and Naruto included, watched in surprise. He stepped out of the coffin, instantly turning toward Naruto as the second and third coffins fell open. Two men in Kumogakure flak jackets and headbands with purple shirts and blue pants. One had gold hair and black horns and was slightly larger than the other who had silver hair and black horns. Both also had whisker marks like Naruto.
"Them," Kurama growled.
"The Gold and Silver Brothers," B stated. "Legendary ninja from my village who were sent to capture Kurama but failed."
"They ate the lining of my stomach for two weeks before I spit them out," Kurama growled. "And the first one, I can sense my chakra from him. The other two gained about half what I currently have, each, from their time in my stomach. The first, I can sense about a fifth my current power, but it's still more chakra than the current Raikage has."
The fourth fell open and another Kumo ninja stepped out, this one wearing a blue shirt and pants, a Kumo flak jacket, no headband, and had a very long blue diamond over his right eye. The left half of his hair was green and the other side white.
"Fukai," B growled. "The previous Eight-tails Jinchuriki. The Eight-tails senses his own chakra in Fukai. Something's off."
"Kurama can sense his chakra in the other three," Naruto growled. "What's going on?"
"Pseudo-Jinchuriki," Gaara stated. "Shukaku says that they're all people given Tailed Beast chakra or who took it. He also says your Tailed Beasts are idiots for letting it happen, especially Kurama."
"Chomei says to tell them to stop acting like immature children," Fu stated.
"Easy for him to say," Kurama snorted. "She was never copied."
Naruto grinned as the last coffin fell open, revealing...
"Hayate!" Yugao gasped loudly.
"You've got friends," Orochimaru sneered. "Danzo, deal with them."
Danzo grinned and nodded, turning and sprinting toward where Yugao's voice had come from. Naruto turned to follow but the Gold and Silver Brothers appeared in front of him, both with boiling red chakra rolling off of them.
"Son of a...Sasuke, handle him!" Naruto shouted and Danzo instantly lit up with black flames. "Gaara, handle the kid if you can."
Gaara nodded as Sora charged at him and Hayate charged at Fu.
"Fu," Naruto shouted. "You'll have to handle Orochimaru too."
Fu nodded as B and Fukai, both in Version Two, charged at each other, instantly beginning a destructive battle. Naruto turned to the two remaining Kumo ninja and drew his Crow Blade and Temujin's sword. The Gold and Silver Brothers both grinned and drew swords as three tails extended from behind them. Naruto sighed and traded his Crow Blade fro his Double-Edged Swords then swapped hands with Temujin's sword.
"I am Kinkaku," the larger one with golden hair stated.
"And I am Ginkaku," The other stated.
"Nice to meet you," Naruto grinned. "Name's Naruto Uzumaki. Now drop dead."
He charged forward and both brothers blurred into motion. Naruto swung his sword and sent a blast of wind at them, hitting Ginkaku and forcing him back a foot before he continued. Naruto spun and slashed at Kinkaku who blocked the attack as Ginkaku slashed at his waist. Naruto leapt over the blade, spinning as green chakra flames rolled off the blade of Temujin's sword. Ginkaku and Kinkaku were much slower than Naruto, so Naruto's sword easily managed to blast Ginkaku backward into Kinkaku, both of them landing in a heap. Naruto looked back to see the boy in the monk uniform hold out his demonic mutated right hand and grin evilly.
"Beast Wave Gale Palm!" the boy shouted as a massive arm of wind shot from around his arm surrounded by a chakra arm.
The result was a massive explosion that sent Gaara flying into B. B crashed into a tree and Fukai instantly sprinted at Fu with the boy. Fu saw them coming and instantly exhaled a cloud of blindingly bright powder as she entered her Version Two form and grew a pair of wings. She flew into the air and Fukai leapt after her. Naruto appeared between them, catching Fukai by the tail and spun, hurling him into the boy. Then, Ginkaku and Kinkaku appeared at his sides swinging at him. Fu caught one blade and B the other. Kinkaku and Ginkaku both instantly spun kicking Fu away. She crashed down hard enough to make a crater and passed out at the same time as Danzo appeared behind B and drove a katana through his stomach. Naruto turned to Danzo and saw that his arm now officially had all ten Sharingan open again. A moment later, Sasuke appeared next to him, glaring at Danzo.
"What's wrong?" Naruto questioned.
"He's fucking reincarnated," Sasuke spat. "I killed him and he regenerated with all of his Sharingan functional. He managed to wound Yugao but she's being tended to. Looks like we're going to have to do this the hard way."
Just as he said this, Yamato leapt out of the trees at Orochimaru in time for Orochimaru to be covered in a cloud of smoke. A large white snake with grey hair shot out and swallowed Yamato hole before burrowing into the ground as coffins shot out of the ground around the others and closed around them then sank back into the ground. Naruto glanced at Sasuke then turned to the Jinchuriki. Sakura was tending to B while the others were groaning and complaining about their broken bones. Naruto sighed and returned to his own chakra and sighed.
"Well that was depressing," Naruto stated sitting down. "If I'd known they were going to summon Jinchuriki, I'd have brought more Uchiha."
"Jinchuriki lost to Jinchuriki," Gaara stated. "If four Jinchuriki can't even handle two people and a few reincarnated wanna be Jinchuriki, how the hell do we fight the Thirteen?"
"We don't," Naruto sighed. "We're not ready. For now we head back to Konoha. From there, I'll need to speak with you guys."
Gaara nodded and as soon as they could all move again, they headed out, returning to Konoha where they would discuss how to deal with their obvious miscalculation about the power of the Thirteen. As they traveled, Naruto could feel a very unpleasant chakra. About halfway back, he found out what it was. As they reached a large clearing, they all stopped as a massive purple eel with a white mask exploded up from the ground. It instantly extended multiple spiked tentacles that knocked everyone except Hinata aside then began shooting at her. She began avoided and deflecting them as fast as she could, but, being a tailed beast, the Zero Tails was much faster. Four tentacles caught her arms and legs, lifting her into the air, spread-eagle before two shot forward to impale her. Naruto, being the only one still conscious from impact with something or other, teleported to the seal on Hinata's palm, cutting her free and shoving her away as the two tentacles exploded from his chest. He spun, tapping into Kurama's chakra as he dragged the Zero tails toward him, forming a Massive Rasengan.
"Die!" Naruto growled blasting the Zero-tails.
Less than a second later, it reformed and its face split in a grin.
"Give me that power," the Zero-tails demanded.
"Sasuke," Naruto groaned. "Squash this fucker."
Sasuke formed his Susanoo's right arm and crushed the Zero-tails only to have it wrap around the Susanoo's arm.
"This fucking slug doesn't give up," Sasuke smirked. "Amaterasu!"
The Zero-tails screeched in agony and fell off as black flames erupted along its body. Then, it was gone, the Amaterasu going out like a candle.
"What the Hell is going on around here?" Sasuke growled as Sakura rushed to heal Naruto.
"You scared it off," Naruto groaned. "I'm sick of this war already. Is it too late to negotiate?"
"Sorry," B laughed. "Too late."
Naruto sighed and stood, only partially healed.
"We have to get back before he decides to come back," Naruto stated. "Let's go."
They continued and made it back without another incident where Naruto was instantly taken to the hospital. Then, he was ordered to the Hokage office.
