I'm so glad that everyone loved the last chapter! I was nervous about posting it because of it's religious nature. But I'm glad to see that I had no worries! The next couple of chapters are modified versions of chapters in my original story that I was saving for a perfect moment. That moment has arrived! They are extremely fluffy chapters. Enjoy! :D

I'm dreaming of the rights for Christmas. I want to own Doctor Who. Where the TARDIS is humming and companions are running and you don't know if that's really snow. I'm dreaming of the rights for Christmas. So with each chapter that I write, they'll become the plot for the show. And the Doctor'll be forever with his Rose! (Are my song disclaimers creative or what?)

CHAPTER 37

After the moving events of the night before, everyone needed some time to reflect before they went galavanting across the universe again. Each occupant of the TARDIS went away to seek out solitude alone or with a very special someone.

Ten and his Rose were lying together on his bed, each of them too overcome with emotion to speak. Each found solace in the presence of the other. They were lying on their sides facing each other, their lower arm wrapped around the other, their free hands intertwined. It had been an emotional roller coaster for them both. To go from being atheists and agnostics to bring confronted with the very real God in human form was a change that they were not really prepared for. No wonder they had been driven to their knees! For the millionth time, the Doctor cursed his life and how death and destruction had always followed in his wake. And yet, for the first time, his burden was lighter and brighter. It all had to do with that baby in the manger.

"It has been so long since we saved Jamie and everybody lived." Rose reflected. The Doctor blinked. It was as if she could read his thoughts. "Yes, yes it has." He replied. "That was a very happy day indeed." He was touched that she still remembered that day and recognized his involvement with it, even though it was Nine who had been the Doctor at the time. Only his Rose would make that connection so smoothly.

He leaned over and kissed her. The kiss was deep and long and full of passion. She returned it, eagerly, her mouth open wide letting his tongue explore every crevice of her mouth. When he withdrew, she entered his mouth with an intensity that surprised even her. They drew away, breathless, gazing lovingly into each others eyes.

"Rose" he rasped, his voice low and sultry. "The things you do to me." He kissed her again. Neither of them wanted to stop. But he did stop. "You are an amazing, beautiful, brilliant woman, Rose Tyler, and you are as sexy as hell! But you deserve to be treated like a queen, and I plan to do just that." She looked at him inquisitively. "Go back to your room and put on a really nice dress. Tonight we are ditching the others and going on a date! That is, if you want to."

"What do you think, you daft alien?" She said, grinning her famed tongue between the teeth grin at him. The Doctor almost melted. "That grin. Oh that grin!" He cried before smothering said grin in yet another passionate kiss. She was the first to break away. "Well, I do-a declare, dahling" she drawled in a cheesy attempt at an accent. "If I don't leave and get changed now, we will never be able to go on our date!"

"Fair enough." He laughed. She winked at him before closing the door behind her. He was elated. But suddenly, he grew very nervous. He wanted this to be a night that Rose would never forget. Needing a woman's advice, he knocked quietly on Donna's door.

"Oi! Space Man! What are you doing here? I thought you'd want to be with Rose?" Donna inquired. He looked at her nervously. "She's getting ready for... for our date." Donna grinned. "It's about time!"

"Yes, well, um... I want to do something special for her, but I have no idea what. Can you help?" Donna was elated. "Here's what you do. You go put on that tuxedo of doom, gather your arms full of red roses, and give them to her when you pick her up. I probably don't need to tell you to tell her how pretty she is because I'm sure she'll be stunning. Then offer her your arm and take her to a romantic restaurant, one where they serve champagne is always a winner. Bonus if there is dancing involved, that is, if you can dance." The Doctor gulped at that, remembering his futile attempts to dance with Rose the last time, though that WAS in Nine's body.

"Be a complete gentleman. Hold open doors for her, pull out her chair for her, make her feel that for tonight, the Universe revolves around her. And for bonus points, get her under the mistletoe!"

He gulped inwardly at the idea of kissing Rose under the mistletoe. "I think I can take it from there. Thanks Donna!" He had an idea of his own as well.

He called and made a reservation at a swanky restaurant on New Earth. As he was walking back to his room he telepathically told his Rose "I'll pick you up outside your room at 6:00. Does that give you enough time?" She replied that it was just right. After he had changed into his tux, he walked to the console room. He had to pick up a few things.

He was surprised to see his other selves there as well. Eleven looked at him approvingly. "The tuxedo of doom" he whistled. "Tonight must be the night, then" he said, grinning. Ten pretended not to know what he was talking about. "You should talk!" He said. "Top hat, white tie, and tails? Now I feel under dressed!"

"You all look like sissies in your monkey suits." Nine remarked. Only then did his future selves notice that Nine was not wearing his trademark leather, but a suit! They wisely didn't comment on that fact, but gave him sidelong glances, thinking that he looked good in a suit. It was a shame he didn't wear one more often.

Tentoo was wearing his own tuxedo of doom and a face that reflected his nerves like a mirror. Ten only hoped that his face didn't look exactly the same, though he knew that it did. Twelve was also decked out in a suit and was pacing uncharacteristically like a caged lion.

Rory, Danny, Shaun and Mickey burst into the room, also dressed much more formally than usual. The men all just laughed, at each other. No one was bothering to hide their intentions anymore. "Right then. Flower shop?" Eleven inquired. The others just nodded. "And a jewelry store?" He whispered into Ten's ear. Ten pretended to ignore him. Eleven grinned cheekily.

At 6:00 sharp, the Doctor rapped on Rose's door. What he saw when she opened it took his breath away. She wore a red, floor length gown made out of a shimmering satin. It was strapless, exposing her ivory shoulders and hugged her figure in all the right places. Her hair was swept up in a sophisticated twist, and her make up, used sparingly, only enhanced her natural beauty. His jaw dropped. For a moment, he forgot who he was and what he was doing there. Then he remembered the roses behind his back and held them out to her. She accepted them gladly and the TARDIS provided an elegant crystal vase for her to put them in.

"You. Look." He stammered. "Amazing!" Not his most eloquent of speeches, but she seemed to appreciate it just the same.

"Looking pretty good yourself!" She smiled broadly as she accepted the arm he offered her.

"After you, Dame Tyler." He said, holding open the door of the TARDIS for her. "Why, thank you, Sir Doctor!" She replied.

Dinner at the le cordon bleu restaurant was a wonderful experience. They toasted each other with the sweetest champagne Rose had ever tasted. Dinner was roast duck in some kind of fruit sauce that Rose couldn't identify with a side of green beans almondine and mashed potatoes. Dessert was (what else?) Banana splits.

After dinner, there was dancing, and the Doctor relished proving to Rose that he can, in fact, dance, and he was quite good at it as well. Rose was having the time of her lives. The Doctor was as well. "Are you happy, Rose?" He whispered into her ear as they slowly made their way around the dance floor. Her contented sigh was all that he needed to hear in response. "I wish this night would never end." She sighed and snuggled softly into his neck.

The night was not over. As the music died down, he shocked her by slowly getting down on one knee and pulling from his pocket the most gorgeous ring she had ever seen. "Rose Tyler, from the moment we first met, you captivated me and changed who I am forever. You have saved my life countless times, and more than that, you have saved me from myself. I am hopelessly, forever in love with you! I cannot give you a traditional life with a house and children, but I can promise you lifetimes of my undying love. Will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

Rose's response was a shriek of elated delight, a nod of the head, and a very passionate kiss. When they parted, the entire restaurant burst into applause. "So that's a yes, then?" He asked. "Of course it's a yes, you daft alien!" She laughed. He slipped the ring on her finger. It fit perfectly. "It's beautiful" she whispered.

It was a white gold circle with a gorgeous TARDIS blue diamond in the center, surrounded by tiny white diamonds. "The blue diamond is a gift from the TARDIS herself" he said. "It was harvested from her heart. It's telepathic. If you ever get too far away from her, one touch and it will bring you back to her, and to me." Rose just gaped at him in adoration. "I love you!"
