Ok. I was going to hold off on the fluff for a bit, but I'm a girl! And a hopeless romantic. There are just too many love stories to explore! And there were quite a few dates... And I had a reviewer ask a question that needs answered. So... seriously, if you're reading this and are sick of the fluff, tell me and I'll lay off. Just consider the last two chapters and the next however many to be fluffy one shots exploring the love lives of our favorite couples in the TARDIS. For this one, we're taking a break from the Doctor and Rose and moving to my second favorite OTP: Ponds!

I'm brain dead on Christmas carol disclaimer rewrites at the moment. Sorry to disappoint. Still don't own this btw.

CHAPTER 39

Amy stood in front of the mirror in the bedroom she shared with her husband, brushing out her long red hair and smiling like a beloved woman. The smile had, of course, been put there by Rory who had decided to tell the Doctors that they needed to return to Earth, because he was taking his wife on a date. Amy couldn't remember the last time that they had had a proper date. She surmised that it had been before their wedding, so that meant that it was more than 2000 years ago. They were definitely way overdue!

She smiled as she reminisced about the night before her wedding, which had to have been the longest night before a wedding in the history of weddings. She had run away with a madman in a box, had a few adventures with him, kissed him, her fiancee was bright on board, they had a few more adventures (one of which included a dream where Rory died and she realized how much she loved him). Then Rory did die, and she forgot him, but he came back, killed her accidentally, and then 2000 years after that, they finally had their wedding day. She would have loved to have told her daughter about that except that her daughter was there for most of it! "Well," Amy mused. "At least no one can say that my life is boring!"

Rory was also getting reflective as he got ready for their date. He was dressing in River's room so as to give his wife privacy. He was a man in love if there ever was one. Time and time again, he wondered how he could have gotten so lucky to have Amy love him. And how she loved him! She had even allowed herself to be taken by a Weeping Angel, just to be with him.

He had been glad that he had apparently not been the only one with his heart set on love when he arrived in the console room in his new suit. Far from it, in fact. Apparently, the encounter with the babe in the manger inspired everyone to show their lives ones just how much they cared. In the flower shop, he chose a colorful arrangement of wild flowers. They weren't the traditional roses that usually signified love, but he and Amy had never been traditional.

Amy, who had always preferred her skirts a bit shorter than most, did not disappoint. Rory couldn't take his eyes off of her in her dark green dress that ended a bit above the knee. At five months, her pregnancy was really starting to show, and she was positively glowing.

He surprised her with ballroom dancing lessons, (on modern day Earth of course) something that they had always wanted to do together as a couple. They stepped on each other's toes a few times, and once, Amy socked him in the chin with her elbow while trying to do a spin. (She actually left a bruise!) But despite these mishaps, they learned how to salsa, tango, foxtrot, mambo, and swing. The one dance they really struggled with was the waltz: who'd have thought that the most famous of dances was also the most difficult?

"Guess I'm gonna have to start calling you Bruised Stupid Face now!" Amy teased.

"Ha. Ha. You think you're so funny!" Rory retorted, his eyes dancing with amusement.

"I am!" she replied before grabbing his tie and pulling him along after her. "Come with me, Mr. Pond. Dancing was fun, but I'm famished! Let's eat!"

After dancing, they were ravenous, so they went to a nice restaurant nearby. Called Luccini's, it was an Italian family restaurant. Two generous portions of lasagna with side salads later, they returned to the TARDIS, sated, and as in love as ever.

Later that night, after they had made love (thank goodness they no longer had bunkbeds), Amy looked into her adoring husband's eyes. This was the man who chased her after she ran away the night before their wedding. This was the man who she chose to be with in the dream scape. This was the man who had died for her on multiple occasions. This was the man who guarded her in the Pandorica for 2000 years, even pulling it from the flames, putting his own life in jeopardy in the process. This was the man who had tried to save her and her future self because he was so in love. This was the man she had married, the father of her daughter, her lover, and her very best friend. "How on earth did I ever deserve you?" She asked.

Rory just looked at her. "How did I ever deserve you?" he replied. "You could have had the Doctor, your Raggedy Man. But you choose me. And in choosing me, you made me into the man I am today. Everything, every impossible thing that I did since flying away with you and the Doctor, I did because I loved you. Your love gave me wings, courage, and the ability to do the impossible!"

"I love you, Rory Williams."

"And I love you, Amelia Pond."

P.S. I want to do something awesome to celebrate 100 reviews since that is so close to happening! It's going to be epic!
