"Perhaps that wasn't the best way to handle the situation, but come on, she needs to learn to have a little self control and not throw herself at every beautiful guy she sees." Kagome stated once he was settled in the booth across from her. She started looking over her menu, she wasn't sure what she was in the mood for.

"Beautiful?" Sesshoumaru's velvet voice interrupted her reading of food.

"Huh?"

"You called this one beautiful." He stared at her.

Realization clicked and her face instantly grew hot. So much for being over the exposed feeling, it was back full force.

She wasn't even aware she had said it, or what she had implied, until he mentioned it. She lifted her menu and lowered her face behind it, trying to hide from the golden orbs that preyed upon her.

When she resurfaced, his predatory stare was still on her, "I've already said it before... you clearly know you are. Yes, I think you're beautiful... just a little bit." She held up her thumb and index finger with a miniscule space between them. She giggled at her own antics, amused.
