Kagome looked down and studied her menu again, "Hmmm... I think I want some pancakes. Yes, I know it's not breakfast time... but I am craving pancakes." She closed her menu with a slap. "How about you? Would you like a steak? I am pretty sure they will cook it some, but I can order it rare." Kagome asked.

"That is acceptable."

Kagome smiled, "I am going to ask you a favor though..."

"No." Sesshoumaru interupted.

"Oh stop that, I didn't even tell you the favor. Are all royals as stubborn as you are? Or perhaps, it is just a trait uniquely Sesshoumaru?"

"Does not matter. No."

Kagome pursed her lips. "Can you listen to make sure that hostess girl doesn't spit in my food. I think she might be a little mad about what I said to her."

"Perhaps."

Kagome tipped her head to the side, "Did the oh so stoic Sesshoumaru... make a joke?" Kagome laughed.

"This one does not joke." Sesshoumaru stated.

"Of course 'this one' does not joke. That might show someone he actually has a sense of humor." She laughed, "We definitely don't want that, now do we?"
