Ever since Casey reached the third trimester of her pregnancy, she was never alone. Dean still had to work until she had the baby, but was getting two months of paternity leave once she had little JJ. He hated that he couldn't be there for her, but trusted everyone who stayed with her.
This time, she was with Adam since he had some time off. He had been with her since the previous Tuesday, and had been doting on her every need. He told her that his goal was to make sure that everything was stress-free, and he was doing a damn good job of it. The show tonight was in Orlando, so Dean was two hours away from her, then he'd be with her for the whole week. She was happy to get to spend time with Adam, but she needed her husband back.
"How's the little bean?" The Canadian asked and she looked over at him with a smile.
"He's being a little bean. Why do you call him that?"
"Rhymes with Dean, and I'm not calling him 'Little Dean' because you're naming him Jonathan." He reasoned and she nodded, but winced in pain. "Another contraction, Princess?" She nodded and they both watched their watches until she gave a nod.
"That's another minute, and it's been five minutes from the last one, and this has been going on for about an hour." Casey mumbled and Adam nodded.
"Let me call the hospital and see if its time to bring you in. You sit tight, okay?" She nodded and he stood, kissing her forehead before starting to pace with his phone. It was a bad habit of his, a nervous habit. She was paying so much attention to Adam, that she hadn't paid close attention to anything he had said on the phone. "Hospital time, Princess."
"Dean needs to know. He needs to be here."
"I'll call him in the car."
"He's in the main event tonight. I-"
"He's not going to miss the birth of his child. He'd walk out on his match before he missed this." Adam assured, leading Casey out the door with one hand and grabbing the overnight bag with his other. "Relax, Princess. Everything will be okay."
"I trust you."
"Good." He mumbled as he fiddled with his phone before starting the car. "Ambrose."
"Adam? Is everything alright?"
"We believe its baby time. We're heading to the hospital now."
"Shit. My match is in five minutes."
"Her water hasn't broken yet, so I think you have a couple hours, maybe? She needs to talk to you, though."
"Give her the phone."
"Princess, here." Casey took the phone gratefully and whispered a thank you.
"Dean?"
"I'm here, baby. I need you to relax, okay? Be calm for little JJ."
"Dean I'm scared. I didn't think I'd have to do this without you. Adam is a huge comfort, but he's not you."
"I know, kitten. I'm glad he's with you. I'll be with you in a couple hours."
"That's so long, Dean."
"That's what she said." He attempted to joke but was only met with silence. "I know, not exactly a joking time."
"Yeah...no. I appreciate the attempt, but no." He chuckled and Casey felt something wet. "Adam?"
"Yeah, Princess?"
"Don't be mad, but I think my water just broke." She whispered and his eyes widened.
"All over my leather?" He half whined and she nodded. "Damn. I'm not mad."
"Case, your water broke?" Dean asked and she nodded.
"I think so."
"Alright, I'm going to rush this. I'll be there soon, Casey. Just, stay calm for me, okay?"
"Okay."
"I love you and the little guy so much."
"We love you, too. Be safe."
"You too, kitten." She hung up and took a deep breath, looking over at Adam. Before she had Dean, she saw herself going back to Adam and being with him. Maybe if she had gone back to Adam after the whole Randy thing, she'd be having a little Adam. Although she wouldn't be his wife, since he wasn't trying for a third.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing important. Just how I'm going to strangle Dean if he misses this." She lied and he rose an eyebrow. She knew that he knew that she was lying. He knew her too well. But he let it go as he parked. She appreciated that.
"Trust me, if he misses this he'll be kicking himself more than you could." He mumbled as he helped her out of the car, then picked her up and carried her to the front counter. "Casey Good. She's going into labor we think?"
"We've been expecting you." The woman behind the counter stated as she stood and got a wheelchair. "Sit her down here and follow me, please." Wordlessly, Adam did as instructed and soon he was helping Casey into a gown and holding her hand to comfort her as she laid in bed.
"He'll be here when it's time. If not, you've got me. Close enough."
"I appreciate it, Adam. I really do."
"I told you that I'd always be here for you. I'm a man of my word."
Cliffhanger! I figured that this should be a good two-parter since I'm basically at a standstill with Adam's Princess.
