Hurray! chapter 100! I had actually planned for this to be the last chapter but it obviously didn't work out like that. oh well. on with the slaughter fest.
Slaughter Fest For Old Friends
Sasuke sprinted forward, slashing at Danzo whose left arm grew into a katana blade as wide as one of Sasuke's fingers was long. Danzo blocked the Totsuka Blade, the blade surviving contact this time and allowing Sasuke's susanoo to be shoved backward off of Sasuke where it faded from existence while Danzo darted forward.
"Tsukuyomi!" Itachi shouted as he appeared in front of Sasuke.
Danzo faltered for half a second before continuing as Itachi collapsed.
"Shit," Sasuke gasped sending Chidori Senbon at Danzo.
"Kotoamatsukami!" Shisui shouted and Danzo skidded to a stop.
Looked around at everyone before his hand changed from a blade to a small round mirror while his other hand began forming hand seals. Then, his right hand placed itself on the side of his neck, a paralysis seal shooting across his body.
"Kotoamatsukami!" Danzo growled then released the seal, his hand returning to blade form. "Nice try Shisui. But unfortunately, I'm not that easily stopped."
Then, the Totsuka Blade slammed down through him. Just as he began to be dragged up the blade, one of the Sharingan stopped glowing, turning purple and Danzo vanished, reappearing a distance away.
"That is such bull shit!" Sasuke shouted. "He's too strong to have Izanagi!"
Just as he said this, A crashed down on Danzo's back, smashing his back wide open before he could use Izanagi.
"That would work if he was alive," Sasuke stated. "But he's dead."
Guren slashed at Kabuto, missing by less than an inch as Itachi's Susanoo slammed its blade down on Kabuto's empty skin. Kabuto landed inside the Susanoo and slashed at Itachi who blocked it with his katana.
"Tsukuyomi!" Itachi growled.
Kabuto went rigid for several seconds before collapsing. Just as he did, Sasuke formed a Susanoo armored with Amaterasu. Itachi let his Susanoo fade and instantly sprinted to help his brother at the same time as Gozu arrived to help Guren with Lee.
"This is all you can muster when the Uchiha leaves?" Kabuto laughed standing. "The jutsu failure, the unspeaking lover, and the Crystal Style user? That's insulting."
Crystal shot up under him, encasing his skin less than a second after he had left it. As he blurred through the air, Gozu's enlarged fist blurred through the air, crashing into him then slamming him into the ground. Kabuto opened his mouth, moving to bit Gozu only for Lee to put a metal Eskrima Stick between his teeth.
"Thank you Lee," Gozu smiled before picking Kabuto up and hurling him at a tree.
"Sakon, Demon Twin Jutsu!" Kabuto growled as the sakon clone grew out of his naval snake again. "Tayuya, Chains of Fantasia!"
A Tayuya clone grew out of the snake complete with a flute and began to play. Instantly all three opponents were captured in the genjutsu seeing themselves bound by snakes.
"Shit!" Lee growled. "What do we do?"
"We can't do anything," Guren growled. "Just sit and wait for him to kill us."
"Quite right," Kabuto laughed walking toward Guren. "You'll go first. Then Gozu, then Lee. That should ensure my survival."
"You think so huh?" Guren laughed. "I think you're dead anyway. The Uzumaki are on their way. Nagato's going to kill you."
Kabuto opened his mouth and a massive white snake shot out of it, lunging at her to bite her. Kabuto failed to see Guren's grin when he left his skin to bite her in half, resulting in the crystal clone being bitten and then coating Kabuto in crystal instantly before Kabuto also shattered, freeing Gozu and Lee from the jutsu as Guren stepped out from behind a massive pile of rubble that had been plowed up at some point.
"Told you you would die," Guren grinned.
Naruto leapt over the fan again then spun, smashing a foot into the ground after passing through Madara for the thousandth time. He wasn't even bothering with using Kurama's chakra, instead just having a line of clones gather and feed him Nature Energy as needed. This had been the process throughout the entire fight with neither him nor Madara landing a hit. It was getting annoying but was nothing Naruto couldn't handle.
Just as Naruto left Sage mode and released another clone, Madara reached for Naruto in time for Kakashi to crash down where he had been, saving Naruto from being captured. Naruto grinned, stepping up beside Kakashi as Madara growled in annoyance.
"Two Sharingan?" Kakashi questioned.
"Yep," Naruto nodded. "Near as I can tell, his right one allows him to teleport pieces of his body somewhere, probably a different dimension, allowing for a form of intangibility and the other one is mostly there to help him read his opponents moves and use Izanagi whenever he needs it. According to Konan, that eye can use Izanagi for ten minutes, making for a very annoying fight."
"I agree," Kakashi nodded. "Shall we?"
"Let's," Naruto nodded forming a Rasengan. "Got the idea?"
"Yep," Kakashi nodded.
Naruto sprinted forward shoving the Rasengan at Madara. It passed through him, followed by Naruto just before Kakashi slashed at Madara with a kunai. Madara drew one of his own, blocking Kakashi's kunai just as Naruto spun, swinging the Rasengan at him again. The rasengan passed through Madara, Kakashi's kunai passing through Madara's hand as well. The moment both were out, Naruto threw a side kick at Madara, which he blocked with his Gunbai just as Kakashi flicked his kunai into Madara's side. Madara stumbled at Naruto, who slammed the Rasengan into his mask. The explosion launched him backward but he landed on his feet, mask cracked but not shattered, having protected him from the blast.
"Impressive," Madara commended. "Were I not fighting at my normal level, however, I'd be unimpressed."
"That so?" Naruto questioned tossing him a kunai.
Just as Madara caught it, a second Naruto exploded out of the ground, slamming another Rasengan into his mask.
"Well I'm just dying to know who's under that mask," Naruto continued. "So I'll let you prove yourself right after I break it."
This time Madara bounced and rolled along the ground for several yards before standing as his mask fell away, a few places at a time. Kakashi gasped loudly upon seeing the face and Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Obito," Kakashi breathed. "You? But...why?"
"Simple," Obito shrugged holding his arms out to the sides. "This world is nothing. It has nothing. Nothing for me, nothing for humanity, nothing. When I entrusted my Sharingan to you, you swore to protect Rin. Instead, it was you yourself, that killed her. If people who abandon their friends are worse than scum, I wonder what that would make you. But you know what? I don't care. Without Rin, what have I got left? So I came to a conclusion. I'm going to awaken the power that can only be unleashed by the Suzu Key. And then, I'll use that power to bring Rin back to life, much as you and Nagato brought back the Jinchuriki. And once Rin is back, she and I can be together."
"That's why you went nuts?" Naruto questioned. "Because you lost someone you loved?"
"Would you be content to live with Sasuke, if Sasuke had killed Hinata?" Obito questioned turning to him. "Would you be able to accept a world in which Hinata no longer lived?"
"No," Naruto admitted. "I suppose I wouldn't. But what you're trying to bring back is a monster. It won't revive Rin, it'll send the entire world after her."
"The legend says that Suzu controlled that power for a time," Obito stated. "That she used that power to conquer the world but that at some point she lost her grip and her control with it. I will not be so foolish. I shall burn that power out using the reanimation jutsu to bring back Rin. There will be nothing left for me to lose control of."
"I'm sorry Obito," Naruto sighed. "We're not going to be able to take that risk. You're going to die. I'm sorry."
"Now that is funny," Obito smirked. "Come, let us see this death you plan to give me."
