I really lost my motivation as well. To guest reviewers: If you do not like the Andy/Sam relationship then please DO NOT read my stories! I have seen where several writers have stopped writing because of guest reviewers, and that was one of my reasons it has taken so long to finish this story. But inspiration to finish this story struck when I got the idea for a Chicago PD/Fire story. (Go check it out if you watch those shows) I also changed my pen name to encompass Chicago PD/fire since I will be writing stories for those shows as well. So without further ado here is the long awaited chapter revealing the baby's gender! ENJOY

Chapter 7: Baby….Swarek!
After all the holiday festivities had come and gone, Andy and Sam settled back into a routine. They would get up, Sam would make breakfast while Andy got ready and then they would go to work. Since Andy was now approaching the halfway point of her pregnancy, Frank thought it best to leave her in the station. Andy hated desk duty, but it let her be around Sam for the majority of the day and it kept their baby safe. The day before they were supposed to find out the baby's gender, Sam caught a major case. Frank assigned Andy to work with the D's in the hopes that the case would be wrapped up quickly.
The case is a parental kidnapping, and they are hoping to return the child to his mother before the end of shift. Andy gets to work helping Sam and Traci while the other officers are out searching for the kid. After several hours, Andy goes to the break room. Sam follows because he can tell something is bothering her. When he asks, she just tells me him how frustrated she is that she isn't out there looking for the kid. He lets her complain because he knows explaining to her why she isn't out there would just be a waste of breath.
One hour before the end of shift, they finally find the kid. His father had taken him because he knew he was going to lose any visitation in court because of his past. Andy waited around the station for Sam to finish up his interrogation, and by the time he was done, they were both exhausted. Thankfully they both had the next day off for her doctor's appointment.
The next morning Andy woke up before Sam. She was so excited to find out what the baby was. She thought it was going to be a little girl, and Sam said he would be happy either way. Andy was just ready to find out so she could start buying things for their little one and get a nursery all set up. They were doing a gender reveal party that night, so when Andy got up, she went to the kitchen to make sure she had everything to make the cake. About an hour later, Sam got up and found her in the kitchen making breakfast. He could tell she was happy because she had the music turned up and was singing along as she cooked.
He snuck up behind her and wrapped his arms around her expanding waist. He gently rubbed up and down as he nuzzled her neck. "What are you doing up so early?" he asked. "Ah. I couldn't sleep. I was too excited for today."
Sam just smiled. He knew she was really excited to find out what the baby was going to be and if he were truly honest he was too. He had told her he wouldn't care either way, but secretly he wanted a little boy. He looked at the clock. Well we have an hour before we have to leave. Anything in particular you wanna do in that hour?" he asked suggestively. Andy just laughed at him and replied, "Actually there is. I want to take a shower together." Sam raised his eyebrows at that. Here lately since she was getting bigger, he had to seduce her before she was ready to let him see her.
After they ate, Andy let Sam to their bathroom. She stripped in front of him and then undressed him. Once she had him undressed she led him into the shower where she already had the water running. She whispered into his ear "Let's have fun like we used too. Pick me up against the shower wall and make me scream your name, Sam." That's all it took for Sam to be ready. He gently pushed her up against the shower wall and kissed his way down her body. He paid special attention to her breast; he loved that they were getting slightly bigger.
He listened to her moan as he kept kissing. He reached her baby bump and scattered kisses all over it. Andy had never felt more loved then she did right then. Sam used his finger to spread her lips; she was already soaking wet. He kissed back up her body and then lifted her so her legs wrapped around him. He sucked on her ear and whispered sweet nothings to her as he slowly slid into her. She held on to him tight. "Andy, baby, I love you so freaking much." "Oh Sam… me too… just please don't stop." "Never, baby, never."
Sam slid in and out, in and out, as slow as he could manage. Andy was practically begging him to speed up but he wanted to take his time. Finally it got to be too much for either of them and he started pounding into her. Andy moaned and yelped the faster he went. "Yes! Sam! Yes! Right there," she practically screamed. "Come on baby, come for him. Squeeze me, Andy, and make me cum." Sam reached between them and found her clit as he thrust in and out. Two more thrust and he felt Andy coming. She screamed his name the whole time and he came too.
Afterwards he washed them off and then they got ready to go to the doctor. The whole where there Andy was nothing but smiles. They got there and checked in; then they had to wait to be called. They went back to the room and then ultrasound tech came in.
She squirted the cool gel on Andy's stomach and within a minute, they could see their little baby. They could hear the heartbeat and they could see all the baby's features. Sam and Andy were in wonder and their baby. Finally the tech asked, "Would you like to know the gender?" Both Sam and Andy nodded. The tech moved the wand a little bit and then pointed out their baby's specific features. Sam and Andy were both overjoyed and happy that their baby was healthy.
After the appointment, they went home and Andy started on the cake. Sam decorated the house just like Andy instructed. The party was set for 6 when all their friends would be off shift. By 5, everything around the house was ready. "I still can't get over these pictures." Andy said. They were relaxing on the couch waiting for their friends to arrive, and Andy was gazing at the ultrasound pictures the tech had printed for them.
Finally at about 5:30 their friends started arriving. Once everyone was there, they passed around the ultrasound pictures and let everyone ooh and aah over their baby. Once everyone had eaten, Andy brought out the cake. Half of it was pink and the other half was blue. Sam spoke up, "Now I know you have all been anxiously waiting to see what the baby is going to be, so we will cut the cake and then everyone can have some." Sam and Andy smiled at each other as they saw their friends get their cameras ready on their phones. They moved their hands back and forth between the blue and pink side and then counted to 3. On 3, the slide knife into the BLUE side of the cake. The girls let out squeals while the guys offered their congratulations. Andy cut up cake for their friends.
Everyone was extremely happy for the couple. The girls went to Sam and Andy's spare bedroom that would become the nursery and began talking over ideas. Traci was in charge of the baby shower and the night ended on a happy note.
While lying in bed that night, Sam asked Andy if she was happy it was a boy. He knew she really wanted a girl. "Of course I'm happy. I told you I would be happy either way. Besides since I still want a girl, that just means we get to have more fun after this one is a little older. Because I will get a girl out of you Sam Swarek. One way or another." Sam just laughed. "Touché, my dear, touché."
And on that thought they both fell asleep with smiles on their faces.
A/N: Welcome to the bottom. So there is Chapter 7! A little boy is what I wanted them to have so a little boy it is! Now for some help with the name?... I'm going to try & update again soon.. I'm not really sure how many more chapters this will have but I do know that it will go until after the baby's born! I might do some time jumps to finish this before Christmas because honestly I'm not sure where else to take it. (I've been experiencing sever writer's block so send me your ideas) Hope you enjoyed!
