I really am sorry this has taken so long to write. If I'm being honest, I have lost my RB vibe. The hiatus is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long and I've found other shows that I have immersed myself in. I have found characters that I love & have wrapped myself up in them. All the talk (before I went RB MIA) about the show ending, killed my vibes and led me to allow myself to wrap up in other shows/characters' lives. Currently I am enjoying Chicago Fire & Chicago PD. I would highly recommend those two shows if you need something to watch. They are highly addicting. Also I have a Chicago PD story in the works if you want to check it out as well. This chapter is going to skip a whole year ahead. I was going to keep dragging it out & include the birth and what-not, but since I have never had children, I did not feel comfortable enough writing a whole chapter about it. Since I have lost my vibes, I just wanted to wrap this story up and finish it so it was not left hanging. Maybe once the show comes back (in the summer for us USA folks) I'll find motivation to write another McSwarek story for all you faithful readers, but for now, I hope you enjoy this last chapter. Thank you as always for the support.

Chapter 9: One Year Later... Christmas

Sam & Andy were celebrating their second Christmas together. Baby Seth was 6 months old & it was his first Christmas. He looked just like his daddy & Andy never knew how much love she could have until she held her baby for the first time. They had surprisingly had a very easy delivery & baby Seth was healthy as could be. He'd weighed 8 pounds 12 ounces & was 22 inches long. Andy had decided she wanted to stay home with Seth, and Frank had given her leave until after Christmas. Andy was not looking forward to having to make a decision about work. She loved being at home all day every day with her baby; she was getting to watch him grow and change every day, but at the same time, she missed working the streets making a difference in people's lives. Oh well, she could worry about that another time.

Sam would be home any minute, and they needed to be ready for the annual Christmas Eve party at their house. Since last year's Thanksgiving party was such a success, they decided to have Christmas Eve at their house from now on. This way, all their friends and family could be together & exchange gifts without worrying about seeing each other Christmas Day. Andy was excited. She loved Christmas, and this was her baby's first Christmas. They didn't really go overboard on the gifts because they knew Seth was still too young, but they had gotten him several learning toys. Andy knew there would be more news shared tonight, but it wasn't from them this time.

She heard Sam come in and head straight to the living room where Seth was in his play pen. "Hey, honey, I'm home. Do you need me to do anything?"

"No, just get ready for tonight. The food is ready & Seth had a good nap today so he should be could to play with all his aunts, uncles and cousins tonight," Andy said with a laugh.

"Great," Sam called. "I'll take him with me to the bedroom while I get ready."

Andy didn't even bother responding. Sam had Seth so spoiled it wasn't even funny. He would definitely be a Daddy's boy. Sam was such a great father. Andy remembered every little thing and how Sam was so nervous at first to hold him, but how great he has gotten with Seth. Just the other night, he stayed up all night with him while he was fussy so Andy could sleep. She had no idea where she would be without Sam.

Later, when everyone was there, they sat down to eat. Everyone was enjoying the festivities, when Gail spoke up; "Guys, hey, LISTEN!" Everyone got quite. "Well, don't look at me," she said as she nodded her head towards Dov & Chloe. "So, um, I wanted to do this the right way, and I knew Christmas Eve we would all be together. I knew everyone would want a part, so here goes," Dov stumbled.

He took Chloe by the hand. "Chloe, ever since I met you, you knocked me off my feet. You kept me on my toes, and never put up with my bull shit. I almost lost you once, got you back, and then made a stupid mistake that almost cost me my entire happiness. I love you so much & would be completely lost without you." Dov got on one knee; "Chloe, please say you will stay with me forever and be my wife & the mother to our children?"

Chloe was too shocked to even squeal. All she could do was nod. Everyone offered up their congratulations. Andy was just glad she didn't have to keep the secret any longer. Chloe's ring was gorgeous & Christmas Eve was perfect. Later, after everyone had eaten, they went to open presents. They let the kids open all their presents. They were all so excited. The adults had drawn names so they didn't spend so much on Christmas. They exchanged their gifts. By now, it was almost midnight, and everyone started packing up to go home & get in bed before Santa ran.

After everyone left, Sam pulled a present out from under the tree. "What's this?" Andy asked.

"An early Christmas present."

Andy opened the package and inside was a key and a picture of Oliver's cabin. She gave Sam a questioning look.

"Ollie, sold me the cabin. I bought it for you, since you loved it so much on our honeymoon. Now we can go up anytime we want."

Andy was so excited. She loved the cabin because it gave her and Sam a getaway. They could do absolutely anything they wanted and no was around to see or hear them. "The other part of the present," Sam started, "is that Sarah has volunteered to keep Seth so we can get away for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. I know it's a little late, but I don't have to be back at work until the New Year, and I know we didn't get to do anything extraordinary for our anniversary so I thought it would be perfect. I know it's the first time we will leave Seth, but you know, it's just Sarah so everything will be okay." Andy kissed him to shut up his ramble.

"It's perfect, Sam, really." They left that next weekend to celebrate.

A/N: So I really hoped you enjoyed this story. I know this last chapter was rushed & not all together, but like I said I just wanted to finish it. Maybe I'll find the motivation to write another RB story, but for now I am enjoy CF & CPD way too much. Check out my CPD story Jay Loves E if you are into the show & I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
