Chapter 27:A Decisive Battle Pt1
It was late, the sun had set on another day in Canterlot, and within the castle named after it, all was quiet, a storm was brewing for the city, the thunder rumbled in the distance for the city, and a dark night was near. Ponies were running inside their homes to escape the impending darkness, the rumbles were distant, but they still posed a great threat to them no matter the distance. However on this night, there was one pony who showed no fear for this storm and was currently resting and waiting for the moment he was waiting for.
Within the castle of Canterlot, and within the bedroom of the one and only Heavy Weight, the young colt himself was resting, his expression remained firm and steady, yet he slept with relative ease. He was still and he did not move an inch as the thunder lit up his window in the distance, he was completely undisturbed by the thunder, for he knew a greater and personal storm was about to befall him, the night that he would leave the city of Canterlot forever.
However, within this colt's troubled little mind, many memories and many voices were sounding off through his head, the begging and threatening voice of his own filly friend who promised to stop him if he tried to leave, yet he still took it lightly. Celestia's voice was next to follow, it echoed the words that made him hate and loathe her for her actions towards him, this wasn't what was best for him, this was imprisonment, this was slavery. Finally Heavy then began to hear the voices of many ponies who have used words to describe him, monster, freak, animal, all this and many more entered his mind and beat against his head making him more angry with each word.
Anger, disgust, and uncontrolled fury was stirring in his mind next as his body began to tremble and his horn began to glow, and the restraints of the princesses golden chains were not making it any better for him. He felt a great power growing within himself and it was rising along with his temper, every time the thunder and lighting would strike the city, his eyes would flare ice blue even when his eyes were closed.
His teeth grind together as he began to feel himself lose control, he felt and could hear enemies all around him, the princess, Shining Armor, the ponies of the city, and now Twilight was willing to fight him to keep him here. Enemies, all of them enemies, so much darkness was plaguing his mind, he shook uncontrollably as he felt himself just getting ready to yell and cry for the one pony he knew he could trust, the one who ever loved him.
"Mom... Mom...!"He moaned in blinding anger and rage.
Suddenly as he felt the darkness of his mind about to take over, he then suddenly felt a rumbling within his mind as he felt a dream coming on, the darkness suddenly began to shatter around him and be replaced with the most beautiful sight. A beautiful and heavenly world replaced his realm of closing darkness. There were clouds under his hooves supporting him as if he was now a Pegasus. The skies were a lit with blue and black clear night skies that were filled with beautiful twinkling stars, never did the colt think that such a world could exist, even in a dream.
"Where am I...? What is this place?"Heavy asked himself as he heard his voice echo through the realm.
He began to start walking out of curiosity, the first two steps were to prove that he was really walking on a cloud, and then he began to walk normally as he felt the need to explore, but the realm looked all the same no matter where he went. He almost felt like he could walk this world for hours and even days and remain in the same exact place, but to him any where was better than being in the clutches of princess Celestia. It was then that after a moment of endless walking, he was stopped right in his tracks by a bright golden light that appeared right before him, and with it came a familiar yet angelic toned voice.
"Oh my goodness... Look at how much you have grown,"Came a beautiful and angelic voice,"I can't believe you're already grown up, I just wish I could have seen it... With my own eyes."
"Hello... Who's there?"Heavy said looking around as he heard the voice from all directions.
"Easy there Heavy Weight, you are safe here my son, there is no need to be so alert,"The voice said gently before becoming more familiar,"You have gotten quite powerful since that day haven't you, I'm so proud of you."
Heavy then began to widen his eyes with disbelief as the voice was now clear, and yet he could not believe his ears as he knew the owner of this voice has been long dead, but he was then proven long as he looked back to the golden light. It was at that time that the light began to take form as it melded itself magically together to form what appeared to be a unicorn mare made of golden magic. It then became completely detailed and formed into not just a unicorn mare, but the unicorn mare who was none other than Heavy's mother Golden Heart.
"M-Mom...? Is that... Really you?"Heavy asked with shock as his lip trembled.
"Yes Heavy... It's me my son, I have missed you very much my special colt,"Golden Heart said with a warm golden smile that made Heavy tremble,"I see you have learned much since I last saw you, have things been getting better since-"
Golden Heart was immediately silenced as Heavy leaped to her and began to hug her tightly as she felt tears streaming from his eyes and hitting her shoulder while his body trembled and twitched in a massive mix of emotion. Her smile only grew on her face as she stood there and held her son in a warm and loving embrace, she felt his trembling body against her own as he tried to find the words to say.
"You have... No idea... How much I've missed you... Mom..."Heavy said as he choked on a sob before trying to shake off the tears.
"I know... It has been a while my son, and I have spent my afterlife missing you for the longest time,"Golden Heart said as their hug loosened and Heavy pulled back a bit to look at her,"You have changed much my son, your eyes, your height, you've grown bigger than Mega was in his younger days."
"I know... I just can't help but to grow mom, but now me growing up has been causing problems, and I don't know what to do..."Heavy said as they slowly separated from their hug.
"I know my son, I know of the princesses radical choice in putting you into this... Prison you now are forced to suffer in,"Golden Heart said with solemness in her voice,"But there is some pony I would like you to meet, one who has been dying to meet you for a long time, and wishes to help you now."
"What? Who mom? who could possibly want help me out of this situation? I've already made plans to escape tonight with some help from a guard,"Heavy explained while Golden Heart maintained her smile and let out a sigh,"Who else would want to help me, no pony cares for me any more, no pony alive at least."
"No... But there is still us, and we have been watching you from within your very heart for a long time,"Came a deep and burly voice from behind Heavy,"I have been waiting for the day that I may finally meet my own child!"
"I know Mega, but take it slowly, you don't want to overwhelm him now...!"Golden Heart said as Heavy slowly turned around only to be faced with yet another incredible sight.
A large stallion now stood before him, he was fairly large and came up to Heavy's height if not even more so, he looked an awful lot like Heavy, his coat was even more white than Heavy's and he appeared to be a lot older. His eyes were green rather than blue, and his mane and tail matched that of Heavy's and a small scruffy ice blue goatee finished his look as he smiled proudly down at the pony he actually called son. That's when Heavy knew for certain who this was and who he was talking to for the very first time.
"It's... You, you're Mega Weight... You're my father..."Heavy breathed out as captain Mega himself nodded to his son.
"Yes... And that makes you my son... Heavy Weight,"Mega said as he looked Heavy over with interest,"My gosh, you are the splitting image of both your mother and I, and I hear you are quite the talented fighter."
"I... Yes sir, I've been training with mom, and with my sibling students, and the guards, and any pony for that matter,"Heavy said still coming to grips about meeting his father,"I was just trying to become as strong as you were and maybe even more so so I could become the best, and one day become legendary just like you."
"Indeed... I apologize but... I just can't seem to find the right words to say, I never thought the day would come to see my own son,"Mega started feeling a bit nervous about meeting his son,"I suppose I should start out by apologizing to you, I should have been there for you and your mother, and I shouldn't have been so reckless that day, maybe I would have survived and I could have been there to see you come into this world..."
"Apologize...? You...don't need to apologize for doing what you felt was right, mom always told me of your undying loyalty to the princess and your will to never give up,"Heavy said with a solemn look as he felt Golden Heart place a hoof on him,"After all... I haven't been any different if you can believe it, so far from what I learned from mom, the princess, and even captain Husky, they say I'm a lot like you..."
"I can kind of see why, learning from the princess herself, picking fights with bullies in school, and a really short temper, ah the traits you and I share are staggering,"Mega said as Golden Heart joined him by his side while he got serious,"But that is not what I have come here to speak with you on, you are in dire need of aid in all that you have now gotten yourself into."
"So you both know about that huh? Let me guess, you think the princess is justified in her actions and I should just let her help me right?"Heavy guessed as he let out a deep sigh and listened to his parent's words.
"I do not know... What do you suggest Mega?"Golden Heart asked as if she knew the answer already.
"No son... She is not justified in these actions and you must escape the castle,"Mega Weight answered much to the surprise of his son,"Now I know that is not the answer you were expecting but I have come to realize things have been changing and the princess has become far too obsessed with controlling your power my son, after all she did try to do the same with me in the past, no pony should be controlled as if he was a mere weapon."
"I... I thought you were loyal to the princess, I thought you would agree with her,"Heavy said with conflicted feelings,"Either way, I already made a plan to escape, Rex the guard will free me from the restraints and I'll fight my way out, no pony will stand in my way."
"I see, so you have all this planned out do you, well there is one thing you're forgetting about,"Mega informed in a grim tone,"There is a pony that can pose a threat to your plan son."
"What...? No, the princess will not stop me, nor can Shining Armor, I still trained as much as i could even in my situation, I made sure that there is nothing I can't handle!"Heavy argued back while Golden Heart chimed in.
"You're not the only one who has been training this whole time, and that pony will do whatever it takes to keep you in her life, and as hard as it is to believe, it's not princess Celestia,"Golden Heart explained to her son while he raised an eyebrow in confusion,"It is Twilight you should be concerned with, she is waiting for you to try and make your move, and she's ready to fight you, and she will not be as easy to deal with as you believe her to be."
"Yes... There is great power in that young lady son, you really know how to pick your filly friends,"Mega said with a small chuckle at the irony, for that is what he had with Golden Heart,"That Twilight Sparkle loves you so... While you will be fighting for freedom, she will be fighting for love."
"Twilight...? It doesn't matter who gets in my way, I will fight for my freedom or I will die trying mom, I don't care who I will have to go through!"Heavy stated as he remained firm and brave.
"Are you certain of this choice Heavy? Because if this is your choice, you will go through great pain on this escape, but you will find what you're looking for..."Golden Heart warned solemnly to her child.
"Yes... This is what I want, and I will do whatever it takes to make it a reality, just like the dream I still have to this day,"Heavy answered with a stern nod.
"Then there is nothing more for us to say to you son, except for this,"Mega started as him and Golden Heart began to glow,"You can make your own destiny and your dream to fulfill, and in time your destiny will come calling no matter what you choose."
"So no matter what you do, you will fulfill your dream and your destiny, and no matter what happens, we will always love you Heavy..."Golden Heart added as they began to fade into the golden light,"It is time for us to go, but this will not be the last time we meet our son..."
"You're leaving? But there is so much I wanted to learn from both you, I have so many questions...!"Heavy said out loud.
"No... You don't, you know everything that you possibly need to learn Heavy, and you are so much more powerful than you realize,"Mega said as he was the first to disappear into a small ball of golden light and disappear inside of Heavy.
"What...? What does he mean mom? I know I'm strong and everything, but there is still so much more to learn, what was he talking about?"Heavy questioned frantically to Golden Heart.
"There is a greater power in you son, one that not even the princess knows of, and that's why she is so afraid of you, all you have to do to achieve that power is to truly believe,"Golden Heart said as she faded into a light and slowly moved towards Heavy's chest,"All you must do is believe... Not that you will be the best, but you are the best."
Finally Heavy felt his heart becoming warm as he felt the warmth of two spirits merging with his own, he held a hoof over his heart as he allowed one more tear to fall down his cheek before suddenly starting to smile.
"I will... Mom... I will believe..."Heavy promised before watching the world around him start to glow with a white light.
It was then that in a flash of bright angelic light, Heavy was snapped out of his dream and snapped open his eyes to find himself in his bedroom, he felt reborn as he looked to the side and saw the storm descending upon the city. He listen to the thunder as he let out a sigh and surprised himself by noticing that he was able to move finally, he sat up in his bed and looked around noticing the chains were no longer containing him, he was free.
"Looks like Rex came through for me, I guess I owe him one now."Heavy said moving his hooves around freely.
He smiled as he then got up and jumped right off his bed and doing a few fore arm and leg exercises to get the blood going back into his legs, and after that he then looked over to a small desk by the window and noticed his book resting on the desk. He already knew what he had to do and nothing was going to stop him, but a thought struck him as he walked over to the desk and looked at his book with great solemn in his eyes. He didn't want to leave it behind, but if he should be pursued he doesn't want to risk it being destroyed or loss in the chaos.
He pondered at the idea of what to do with it, he could leave it in the hooves of some pony he could trust, but there was almost no pony he could trust that he knew, almost no pony he could trust with it. After a moment of thinking, Heavy suddenly lit up his horn and levitated a piece of paper and a quill pen to write with, and so he decided to make a small plan for the book before leaving as he began to get his mind ready while writing down a little letter for a special some pony.
Meanwhile outside Heavy Weight's bedroom, two guards were standing still and at attention as they kept a firm guard on the door just in case of any of strange occurrences, but they were completely unaware of what was going on inside the room. The storm was still distant yet the guards seemed a bit nervous at the incoming storm as it's thunder and lightning made the dark throne room light up before going dark.
Suddenly one of the guards began to feel uneasy as he began to hear hoof steps from inside the bedroom, they were getting louder as his ears flickered at the sound of hooves across the floor and looked to the guard on his left. Both guards were looking at each other with concern looks for they both were hearing the noises within the bedroom, the real problem was Heavy was suppose to be chained to the bed and sleeping.
Suddenly as thunder struck the castle again, they almost jumped as they heard the sound of knocking on the bedroom door, they both turned a complete one eighty degrees and stared in shock at the door being knocked on. They could have sworn Heavy was chained to his bed and sleeping, so there shouldn't be any noise on the door at any time, and that's when one guard was brave enough to approach the door.
"Is that you in there? How the hay did you get out of your chains you animal?!"The guard yelled while the knocking noises suddenly ceased.
Everything then went completely silent and the guards were left to wonder how the student got out of his chains, one of them nodded to the other as he then began to pull out the keys and his sword in preparation in case of a fight, but a voice beat them to it.
"I said... knock... KNOCK!"Heavy shouted from behind the door.
Suddenly as he shout came, a blue light went off behind the door that leaked through the cracks before the whole door began to glow blue and a loud powerful roar began to grow from behind it.
It was then that the door suddenly exploded in a massive blast of ice blue magic and fire, the blast was so strong for that fact that it blew the guards clear away from the door and sent them crashing into the wall across the room making big craters in the wall. Smoke filled the room and was quickly dispersed by a wave of strong magical force to reveal the room as Heavy Weight himself exited his bedroom just in time to watch the two guards slide down from the wall and fall unconscious to the ground.
"Sorry guards...! But I'm leaving... And no pony is going to stop me...!"Heavy spat as he turned towards the throne room doors.
He then suddenly began to charge at the door with his horn fully glowing and blazing like fire just as a group of four guards came bursting through the door with swords drawn, but they were not prepared for what was coming their way. They barely had any time to react as Heavy closed in and fiercely knocked the guards in all directions like a bowling bowl striking bowling pins as guards went in all directions while Heavy had made it into the hall way.
He raced at the fastest rate he could go down the hall way bent on escape as he made it down one hall way to enter another, it was then that he saw two guards coming down the hall way and knew that there was no time to be discrete. The guards noticed Heavy just in time for the young stallion to blast two beams of magic at his targets and knock both stallions against the wall leaving them with burning chests as he turned into another hall way.
His blood was pumping as he came to grips with what he was doing and what kind of nightmares awaited him if he should fail to escape, but he had no intention of failing or being captured, death could very well be his last resort. He was breathing hard but smoothly as he navigated the halls with ease, he felt a drip of sweat on his forehead from the nervousness in his actions, yet he still was more than brave enough as he then went down a small flight of stairs.
Suddenly as he made his way down the stairs, Heavy felt himself slam into something as he felt and heard that something had fallen to the ground, Heavy shook off the collision and looked to see that he ran into one of the last ponies he wanted to see, Shining Armor.
"What the...! How did you get out of your room?! You stay right there!"Shining commanded as he frantically got to his hooves.
"Go buck yourself Shining! I'm leaving this place and there isn't anything you can do to stop me!"Heavy said while wiggling his flank before taking off again.
He quickly leaped over the stallion while Shining Armor tried to make a grab for him, and was only rewarded with a kick to the head as Heavy leaped over the captain and began making his way down yet another hall way. Seeing his former friend once again trying to thwart with his endeavors yet again made Heavy angry and even more determined to escape as he blasted two more guards at the end of what he could see to be the main hall. He watched as the blast made it's mark and knocked the two guards over the railing and sent them to a very painful fall off the ledge as he entered the top stairs of the main hall.
Heavy then stopped for a moment to take in the sight of the main hall, after all this was probably going to be the last time he would see this place, so many memories shared here over the years both good and bad, but memories all the same. He let out a sigh as he mentally washed away the memories to make a clean slate for himself as he made his way down the stairs noticing that there were no guards what so ever in the main hall. This struck Heavy as out of the ordinary due to his common known fact that the main hall is one of the most guard infested places there was in the castle, and he wasn't buying this sudden emptiness of the room.
He finally made it down the stairs and saw the main door that lead to the outside world in within his reach, he took a moment to look around the room before taking off towards the door, and that's when it happened.
Just as Heavy reached for the door, he saw a shadow fall over him and looked up just in time to be pounced on by known other than the pony he now hated with a passion, princess Celestia herself. They began wrestling, he could feel the princesses fear as she gently wrestled him to the ground and removed her horse shoe, and Heavy knew what she was going to do when she would remove her horse shoe, and last thing he needed was to be in chains again.
"Get off me! I said get off me!"Heavy demanded as he rolled over and gripped the princess around her bare hoof.
"Heavy please! I'm only doing this so I can help you, just except this!"Celestia begged fearfully as she struggled to place her hoof on Heavy.
"No...! I'm leaving this place... FOREVER,"Heavy said as he managed to get his back legs under her and planted them on Celestia's belly,"I have a destiny, my mother and father said so, and I'm going to fulfill that destiny, and I won't fulfill it if I'm stuck here as your prisoner!"
"But Heavy you're too strong for all that, you will cause nothing but harm to others, you need to be taught how to control that power, you must listen to me,"Celestia said as she suddenly noticed Heavy starting to over power her,"Heavy Weight STOP...!"
"The only way I would ever hurt some pony, is if they did what you did to me or would dare in playing a part in this sick life you made for me...! And I will be dead before I go back to being your slave,"Heavy growled as his back hooves began to glow,"And as your student... I say... I QUIT!"
Suddenly as the words passed through Heavy's mouth, a dual of magical blasts struck the princess in the chest and forced her off him, the beams carried her into the air and slammed her against the ceiling as Heavy quickly got up and threw the doors open. Celestia quickly recovered from the attack and began flying through the air as she saw Heavy escaping through the main doors and shook her head in fear.
"GUARDS! GUARDS! Heavy Weight is escaping!"Celestia called out as she flew after Heavy.
Heavy Weight on the other hoof had made it out the door and felt the wind of the incoming storm as it approached rather quickly and the clouds began to darken the sky above him, he raced down the stairs fearless of the storm, knowing that he now had the advantage. He ran to the golden gates of the castle as he could hear almost an army off hoof steps and the desperate cries of the princess echoing back in the castle, but he didn't care, Heavy was a free pony now.
He lowered his head and smashed the golden gates open with it before he took off into the city, in the distance he could hear the guards coming for him in the distance, but what he didn't hear was the clopping of some pony else who was following him now.
The princess in the mean time had finally exited the castle with a large amount of royal guards at her side including Shining Armor only to see that Heavy had already escaped into the city and was no where to be found.
"Shining Armor, go into the city and spread your guards out, we must find Heavy Weight before he is lost forever!"She fiercely commanded to the captain.
"Yes princess! Alright guards you heard the princess, move out and search the city for Heavy Weight, look absolutely every where, now go!"Shining Armor commanded as him and the guards moved out while the princess was left to look sadly upon the city.
"oh my gosh... What have I done?"Celestia said as she suddenly took to the skies to search from above.
The entire city was dark to Heavy Weight, he knew where to go, and he knew the city very well, but even still he had a bit of difficulty navigating, and he knew Celestia and her guards would have trouble as well which brought a smile to his face. He maneuvered through the city as he made his way to a place that he knew that the guards could not follow him, and there was a path from that place where he could escape without being seen, the special place itself.
The memories Heavy shared in the special place meant something to him, it proved to be another reason to go there, after all it was where it all started for Heavy, so it should be the place where it all ends. The memory of his mother training him, the funeral he had there in memory of Golden Heart, and that day he spent with Twilight that made them colt friend and filly friend, all memories washed over him as he made his way down the streets with nothing but the memories he carried to his destination.
For hours the young stallion ran through the city knowing that even in such darkness the princess and her guards were still on his tail, the storm had finally come and rain was coming down lightly at the moment. He stepped into a puddle as he passed by his old home, he was now wet but completely undeterred by this as he made his way down the street of the city once more and was making for the main gate of the city. It was then that he noticed a lone pony was following him from the shadows, as much as he wanted to rat the stalker out, he could not stop when he had the princess on his tail.
He ignored the follower and began down the streets again, there were thankfully no ponies to stand in his way since the storm was hitting, and the rain proved to be useful as it covered his tracks and made him blind to all from a far. It was then that he had finally came to the place he was looking for as he could see the city's main gate in the distance, and immediately ran to it with nothing to lose but all to gain.
He quickly made it to the gate as he could suddenly hear distant shouting of royal Canterlot guards in the distance, this put a pep in his step as he grind to a halt at the gate and threw the gate completely open with a blast of his magic. Once the gate was open, he then took off once more through the gate and ran down the dirt road until he came to a familiar rough path that lead to the special place.
He quickly then made his way through the rough path, the road was now slippery and wet from the rain, but Heavy was still able to navigate through it with ease, the darkness of the storm and the wetness of the rain were now nothing to him. Heavy felt cold, not because of the rain wetting his coat and mane, but he felt more cold on the inside as he was leaving everything he knew and grew up in behind. He just kept his head low and continued on through the path, knowing that he could not be followed down this path.
Suddenly he could hear distant hooves in the distance, but he did not care, for he know knew who was following him, it was the only pony who knew and could reach the special place, one that would follow him any where. He did not care however, It didn't matter who it was, no pony was going to stop him as he finally made it through the path and stepped into the special place itself.
He looked to the sky as he noticed a break in the storm, the rain had ceased and the moon light was peeking through the dark clouds, he saw himself become illuminated by the light as he then looked to the lit up special place. It was still as beautiful as ever, the waterfall even sparkled in the light of the moon as Heavy slowly walked down and made it to the plains of the special place.
Moon flowers were blooming this cold yet calm night as the young stallion walked calmly throwing all care and thoughts to the side, he felt almost emotionless as he didn't notice the circles of his eyes change once more. His eyes were now pitch black, the darkness around his eyes made him look like a demon spawned from the pits of Tartarus itself, yet he was so calm and quiet knowing that he was on the home stretch.
Suddenly he paused and stood there just in time for a purple beam of magic to strike the ground right in front of him and make the ground explode in a blast of purple magic sparks and smoke. Heavy just kept his head low and his thoughts calm knowing the source of the attack, he could hear the panting and heavy breath of what sounded like a young mare, and that's when he heard her voice sound over the rushing sound of the waterfall.
"HEAVY...!"Came the shouting voice of none other than Twilight Sparkle.
Heavy silently snorted as he felt his mind give away to his desire to escape, but also the desire to see his filly friend just one more time, and yet he decided to keep walking in a desperate attempt to ignore her calls.
"DON'T YOU DARE WALK AWAY FROM ME HEAVY!"Twilight called out again as Heavy froze once more from her command.
He let out a small sigh and shook his head in response, yet he decided that it would be at least prudent to see her once more before he left forever. He slowly turned around to look behind him right where the water fall was and that's when he saw her. Twilight Sparkle was now standing only ten feet from him right in front of the waterfall now looking both shocked and angry as she gazed into Heavy's completely pitch black circled eyes as he let out a snort at her.
"Twilight...! So you actually came,"Heavy called out to her while she looked on with shock and confusion,"So how long were you following me Twilight?!"
"I've always followed you, I would follow you any where Heavy, even if it meant that it would come to this,"Twilight answered bravely while Heavy just sneered at her,"So where do you think your going Heavy?!"
"What's it look like Twilight, I'm leaving Canterlot forever, I'm going on my own little journey and getting as far away from this place as I can,"Heavy explained while Twilight widened her eyes in shock,"Does that really surprise you Twilight? I told you I was going to leave didn't I?!"
"No... You can't leave, you just can't!"Twilight said as she felt his words sting her heart.
She felt the memories of her time with heavy Weight washing over her mind, the memory of when they first met was the happiest time of her life now a days, and when he rescued her from Dark Shine, she had never been more into him from that day on. Her time with him was short that day, but her next happy memory was finally meeting up with him again when she was chosen to be the new student of the princess, and now she could learn from him and the princess at the same time.
She felt her body getting tense as she now saw that colt she knew and grew up with now before her telling her that he was leaving and never coming back, after everything that had between each other. Now suddenly he was acting like everything in the past meant nothing to him, and even she meant nothing to him now, whether that was true or not was completely unknown to Twilight as she grit her teeth and got more tense.
"Why... Why are you doing this... Heavy,"Twilight asked in a slight shaky voice while Heavy just raised an eye brow at her,"Why Heavy...?! Why are you doing this?! Where would you even go?!"
"Why do you care, where I go is my concern now not yours... I have a destiny and it's waiting for me out there,"Heavy informed in a cold tone while Twilight gasped at his response,"I have my own path to follow now, and no pony is going to stop me, not the princess, not Shining Armor, and not even you...!"
"What...? What the hay is that suppose to me Heavy?!"Twilight questioned as she got even more angry while her horn lit up.
"It means that I'm done with this city, I'm done with being the princesses prisoner, and I'm done being among weaklings,"Heavy said as he narrowed his sights on Twilight,"And unless you're coming with me on my journey, then we're done!"
Those last three words struck Twilight in the heart like a dagger and she felt her stomach go cold as she stood their in complete disbelief in what he just said, she now took him seriously and was full of shock at his response. This was not the Heavy Weight that she know, she remembered when he was cool, fun, tough yet friendly with others, there were times that smiling came natural to him, but now she felt as if that sweet colt had now at that moment died.
She felt pain within herself as she watched Heavy turn around and begin to leave once more, she now knew that he would stop at nothing to escape and leave, but how could she just let her only friend and love leave like this. That is not what great unicorns are made of, they don't let friends fade away into nothing, they save them however they can, even if it means fighting them, and that's exactly what Twilight planned to do as she gritted her teeth, got her body completely tense, and leaped for him.
Heavy on the other hoof was still quietly walking across the plain as he listened to the rushing waters of the water fall, he felt everything else had gone completely silent, and he knew that meant nothing good could come of that. It was then that he looked down to the ground just in time to notice a shadow growing larger and in the form of a pony, his heighten sense kicked and and Heavy spun around just in time to get tackled to the ground by Twilight.
They both crashed to the ground and grind in the dirt as Twilight managed to straddle Heavy Weight and pin him to the ground as she placed both hooves on Heavy's chest to hold him in place while he just stare at her fiercely.
"Stop saying all this, just stop talking like this, and stop trying to do this,"Twilight spat as Heavy just snorted right in her face making her more angry,"Heavy...! I said stop all this right NOW!"
It was then that Twilight even surprised herself as she reared back a hoof and suddenly struck Heavy right across the mouth in a desperate attempt to snap Heavy out of his madness. She then froze as she looked upon Heavy and noticed his head turned another way with blood now dripping from his lip, even Heavy looked a bit surprised himself as he slowly turned back to Twilight and spit a bit of blood right in her face.
"Heavy... I... I didn't mean that, are you okay?"Twilight said in shock as she came to grips with what she just did.
"Wow Twilight... That was a hay of a hoof you got there, so you actually did train in my absence it seems,"Heavy said before he then began to chuckle a bit at Twilight's serious look,"Maybe you do have what it takes to best me one of these days."
"Why are you laughing...? Is this funny to you?!"Twilight said as she began to get angry again.
"I remember how you were laughing that day I tested you out, and you were so ready to be my rival, you wanted to beat me to a bloody pulp,"Heavy said as he only chuckled more,"So where's all that laughter now since you came this far?"
"Shut up, that was all different...! you were different! It was all in good fun that brought us closer,"Twilight said as Heavy suddenly freed a hoof and gripped her by her neck,"Even now... I still don't want this, but I will If I have to!"
"I couldn't agree more, if you're going to get my way, then I suppose a fight like this was inedible,"Heavy said as he then surprised Twilight by lifting her up,"You are the only thing standing between me and freedom Twilight, you should have known it would come to this..."
It was then that Twilight found herself being over powered as Heavy managed to lift her off him with ease, he slowly lifted her in the air by her neck as she choked and gagged on the pressure around her neck. She kicked only to strike air as she looked down to see Heavy rise to his hooves and hold her in his tight grip while giving her a cold stare, he then started to smirk as he then released her.
Just as Twilight was about to drop however, Heavy glowed bright blue for a moment before swinging his legs in a flash of speed and struck Twilight directly in the gut with a powerful round house buck. The blow knocked all the wind out of Twilight making her gag for air as she was then sent flying clear across the plain and slammed straight into the water fall itself while Heavy watched her slide down the falls into the pond below, but it was then that something caught Heavy's attention.
Heavy then looked to his hooves noticing that there was a lot more power in that blow then he thought, but it only made him smile as he realized his parents were right about a greater power being within him. He smiled as he then began to feel more power flowing through his body than he felt before, he felt almost invincible, it was as if he could take on any pony with it, even princess Celestia could not match this strength.
Heavy then began to giggle to himself as he felt the power only growing stronger with each passing moment, but he knew that having great power meant he needed to maintain and control it carefully. He then stopped chuckling and looked toward the water fall where he last sent Twilight flying.
It was at that moment that Twilight finally emerged from the pond she had been knocked into and slowly swam to the edge, she then quickly crawled out and tried to shake off all the water that soaked her mane and coat. She stood back up looking to Heavy who was only mocking her with a smirk as she panted in frustration at his sudden power, but now that she had thrown down the gauntlet, she knew there was no stopping this. It was then that she took off towards Heavy as she reared back a right hoof to strike.
"You're crazy Heavy! Stop this right now!"Twilight begged as she threw her hoof at Heavy.
Heavy held onto his smirk as he ducked under the flying hoof and grabbed it with one hoof of his own, he then used his free left hoof and swung it hard striking Twilight across the jaw sending her flying back into the pond. He then stood there as Twilight frantically emerged from the water once more and stared him down as she scrambled to the pond's edge to get out.
"It's too late for craziness Twilight, I'm now as serious as ever about this, you should understand that by now,"Heavy said as Twilight crawled out of the pond and shook herself dry again,"That colt you keep seeing me as is dead Twilight! All there is for me now is a destiny to be the best, and now I realize that I won't become the best here any more...!"
It was then that Twilight charged at Heavy once more, with her horn glowing bright she blasted three different beams at Heavy hoping to stop her foe quickly, but Heavy jumped and spun as he narrowly dodged the attacks before blasting a beam from his horn in return. Twilight quickly dodged the blast with a quick side step before making a large pillar of rock appear from the ground and defend her as she his behind it, but Heavy had other plans.
He took a deep breath in and felt his mouth fill with fire as he opened it up to reveal a sphere of blue flames begging to be unleashed, Twilight peeked out from behind the rock in time to see his attack and was about to run. Unfortunately she then felt her movement become restrained as she looked down to see blue tentacles holding her in place, she panicked and fought against the spell as Heavy Weight finally blasted a breath of blue fire from his mouth.
He breathed his fire like a dragon as the rock became instantly surrounded in flames and was melted away in an instant, Heavy raised an eye brow as he closed his mouth to check out the scene where Twilight last stood. He knew that it was going to take more than all that just to stop Twilight, and soon that was all proven as he turned around towards the sounds of growling.
"HEAVY!"Twilight shouted from behind him.
Heavy Weight was only able to turn around before he saw Twilight in his face and suddenly strike him once again in the jaw, but this time he barely moved from the slug to the jaw while Twilight was shocked by his resilience. Heavy let out a chuckle before turning back to Twilight and not caring that a bruise began to form on his cheek, for Heavy could now feel almost no pain from Twilight's blows. Twilight only growled in frustration as she struck him again in the kisser, but he did the same thing and looked back to her only to mock the ineffectiveness of her blows.
"Is that all you got Twilight... I thought you were better than this?"Heavy questioned with a chuckle.
"Why Heavy... Why are we doing this, why are we fighting like this?!"Twilight begged for an answer while threatening to slug him again.
"It's simple really... I wanna leave and you won't let me, but I think there is much more to this than just that... You wanted this for a long time didn't you Twilight," Heavy remarked earning a shocked look from Twilight,"You wanted a battle like this to happen for the longest time haven't you? Well here it is before you Twilight, so you better make it count."
It was then that Twilight had it up to here with his mocking attitude and was about to swing at him again, but that was all thwarted as he stopped her hoof with his own and then head butted her away from him only for Heavy to leap towards her and deliver a flurry of jabs to her gut. He then finished it by teleporting right above her and bringing both his hind legs down and slamming her to the ground once more crushing the muddy ground beneath them with the force of his kick. Heavy then quickly jumped away from Twilight as she laid there and stood tall as she slowly looked up to him with shock at his power.
"If you knew how much power I had in me right now... I bet you would be forgetting about trying to stop me right now!"Heavy yelled to the his downed opponent.
While it appeared that Twilight had been knocked down, Heavy was careful and quiet as he slowly approached the unconscious Twilight only to be surprised as Twilight suddenly disappeared in a burst of purple magic giving herself away as a clone. Heavy only had time to widen his eyes as the ground exploded behind him, he turned around just in time to see the real Twilight coming at him with a fully glowing left hoof and took the hoof right across the face sending him back a few feet before he managed to land on his hooves and shake off the blow.
Twilight then leaped toward him with both her hooves glowing as she challenged him to a slug fest. Heavy gladly accepted the challenge as he swung one hoof and collided it with one of Twilight's, the first blow blasted a force in all directions from the collision before they began swinging a flurry of punches at each other and smashing hooves as they used their keen eyes to look for openings. Every blow and every where they struck sent waves of ice blue and purple magic in all directions burning small holes and slices in the ground, yet some how missing the small grave sight where Golden Heart's burial laid completely untouched.
Finally as Twilight felt the force of the magic make her eye twitch, Heavy saw the opening and knocked one of her hooves down from the slug fest and finally delivered a strong blow across her jaw sending her skipping like a stone across the muddy ground. Thankfully Twilight was able to find some solid ground and grind on her hooves to stop skipping and come to a stop away from Heavy who yet again gave her a mocking smile.
Twilight slowly backed up and made room between the two of them as they exchanged another round of glares at each other, one was fighting for love while the other was fighting for freedom, both of which were determined goals. It was then that Twilight decided to go with something a bit more drastic as she began to surround herself in a glowing purple aura that spiraled around her and made her begin to float into the air.
"So that's what your going with next Twilight?! Then very well, lets do this Twilight!"Heavy said as he mimicked her actions and surrounded himself in ice blue magic.
They both began to float into the air as the magic both fighters glowed bright and made them disappear into the magic as they prepared for a comet charge collision. Twilight was the first to shoot off towards Heavy like a bullet before Heavy quickly blasted off in the same form towards Twilight. As they both soared towards each other, the winds picked up, blowing dust everywhere and burning ruts into the ground with their magic while at the same time the magic was illuminating the entire plain as well as the water fall.
Finally they collided with each other and slammed head first into each other as they were able to see one another through their comet charges, both were in a very intense state as they pushed for an advantage once more. Their collision sent purple and ice blue electricity flying in all directions, neither pony gave in as their comets began to fuse together, at that moment Twilight and heavy were now literally head to head in the magic. As Twilight was now looking at Heavy with a sad look, Heavy stared at her with rage. Finally the magic between them grew to big, a shock wave and explosion suddenly blew them both apart sending them crashing into opposite directions of the plains.
Heavy barely managed to stop his momentum from the blast of magic as he grind on his hooves in the dirt while baring a bruise on his head while he watched Twilight slam directly into the side of the water fall making rocks drop from it as she went into the pond once more. Heavy let out a few deep breaths as he watched Twilight once again emerge from the pond and crawl her way out to look upon Heavy Weight once more. She surprised him as she now had tears leaving her eyes, she was now beginning to think that he could not be stopped no matter what, Heavy didn't miss a beat as he teleported right in front of her and bucked her in the gut, sending her flying again.
"Heavy... What does it take to reach you Heavy, and... Why won't you listen to me?"Twilight said as she got picked up in a levitational spell and was slammed to the ground on her face.
"It's too late Twilight, I'm done listening, you keep holding back and it costed you this victory,"Heavy shouted as he slammed her on the ground again before levitating her directly in front of him,"This stupid attempt at trying to stop me has failed Twilight! You're finished now, some fight that was, I didn't even break a sweat!"
With that powerful shout, he then delivered a hard right hoof to her gut once more, she gagged from the punch as she then suddenly went almost completely limp, as she then looked right into Heavy's eyes, her own eyes twinkled in the center as she then closed them. Heavy was now about to finish her with on last punch, as he reared back his right hoof, suddenly his hoof was then caught in a glowing purple aura, he struggled to free himself, but could not break free.
"So that's it huh...? You want me to be stronger... You want me to give you a run for your money... You want a challenge,"Twilight suddenly raised her head and glared at him,"Then hows this for a challenge?!"
He then looked at Twilight who was now glaring at him with twinkling eyes, he shuddered in fear as she then blasted him away about ten feet leaving him with a minor burn mark on his chest. He shook it off as he watched the ground around Twilight tremble, Twilight then began to glow completely purple in her own body enhancing spell, she growled at Heavy as magic swirled around her and made her feel enriched with power.
Heavy now stared down an angry Twilight who was now fired up along with her horn which was now glowing solid purple as well as the rest of her body, for Heavy knew all too well that there's no knowing how strong Twilight was now that she's in this form.
"HEAVY...! NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES, I'M NOT GONNA LET YOU LEAVE THIS EASILY! I'LL BEAT YOU SENSELESS IF I HAVE TO, BUT YOU'RE NOT LEAVING HERE WITHOUT A FIGHT!" she roared as she got into a strong offensive position.
"Then its a fight your going to get Twilight!" he called out while getting ready to fight again.
