Chapter 28:A Decisive Battle Pt 2
A dark night was now upon Equestria, and a glimmer of moon light had peeked it's way through the dark clouds that brought a dark storm to the city of Canterlot as the city was teeming with activity. In the darkness of the city on this night the streets were full of royal Canterlot guards that were searching tirelessly for a certain some pony that has escaped both their own and princess Celestia's clutches
Humiliated by the colt Heavy Weight himself, the guards searched tirelessly through the city to find the escaped colt with little luck, the city was still dark and wet from the rain earlier, and the storm had covered Heavy's tracks in their wake. Guards even became desperate enough to search the homes of less than happy families for any luck in finding the colt with little luck and a lot of complaints coming the princesses way in the future, but the complaints meant little to nothing for the princess.
The princess herself was searching the city from the skies and felt the smooth rays of her sisters moon descend upon her making her heart grow heavier as she searched for her missing student, she had never thought it would come to this. Her own student had not only managed to injure her in the chest in their last small struggle, but now Heavy was free from her bindings and running through the city with his power now free, who knows what sort of chaos could occur with his power now free from her control.
She still bared the small burn mark from Heavy's crucial attack against her, and now she was going to have to wear her golden necklace lower to hide it, but for now all that was important to her at this moment was finding Heavy before he was lost forever. Worry began to take over the princess as she looked to her city and saw nothing but guards in her wake, how Heavy was able to hide from them so easily she would never know.
"HEAVY!"Celestia called out desperately to find her lost student,"HEAVY WEIGHT PLEASE...! I beg you! PLEASE COME OUT!"
Her calls fell on deaf ears as she circled around the city with almost nothing to show for her search other than a wet mane from the rain, a few hundred angry families of her city for the guards intrusion, and cold fear in the pit of her stomach. It was then that she heard the calls of her fair captain Shining Armor, and he had more then one bit of news to give her regarding not just her missing student, but another as well.
"Princess Celestia! I need a moment of your time, hurry princess, my parents are here!"The captain called to his princess with urgency.
Not wanting to disappoint her captain, the princess slowly descended from her flight and flew for the city below her, her vision locked onto her captain who was strangely standing at the main gate that lead out of the city. Sure enough as she approached the gates where her esteem captain waited, she could see Night Life and Twilight Velvet in pink and light blue robes looking very worried as if a tragedy was coming upon their family.
The princess raised an eye brow in deep concern as she finally met face to face with the family as she sprouted her wings and landed softly on her hooves before noticing the great worry on their faces slowly rising.
"Captain Shining Armor, I apologize for my worries, but please tell me you find at least a trail or something that will lead to Heavy Weight...!"Celestia begged out of fear while Shining Armor just looked to his parents.
"No princess I haven't... And we have a bigger problem,"Shining Armor said as he slowly turned back to the princess with worry as well,"Twilight's missing princess, and we can't find her any where."
"What...! No, no this can't be, I can't lose another student... Where did you last see her?!"Celestia exclaimed now worried herself.
"We don't know princess, but she was ranting a lot about your colt Heavy Weight earlier,"Night replied in less than a pleased tone.
"She spoke of him wanting to leave and she was ready to stop him if he should attempt to leave, I thought she was just blowing off steam from colt friend and filly friend issues,"Velvet chimed in in a worried tone.
"You tell her too many things about relationships Velvet..."Night whispered to his wife while Shining Armor came alive with realization.
"Princess...? You don't think Twilight would actually go after him do you,"Shining Armor questioned to a princess that also came alive with realization,"Princess...? Please answer me, you don't really think she would...?"
*BOOM*
Suddenly Shining Armor's question was answered as a massive explosion went off and made the entire city shake while the ponies struggled to remain on their hooves, the princess gasped as she turned towards the source of the explosion. Her eyes went wide as she then saw a faint glow of purple light going off in the distance right behind the mountain, she shook her head in disbelief as the family turned and looked to the source of light and looked on in astonishment as they felt great power coming from that very location.
It was then that when she thought about it just for a second, Celestia now knew where both students were, and she knew exactly what they were doing as she then suddenly took off towards the main gate.
"Come with me every pony! I know exactly where they both are...! HURRY!"Celestia announced as the family of Twilight followed the princess towards a great battle.
Special Place
Meanwhile behind the mountain of Canterlot, a great battle had begun and Twilight Sparkle was now intensifying herself with great magical enhanced power as she was staring down her own sibling student Heavy Weight. Their eyes were locked into each other as purple magic flared from her body and her eyes twinkle with magic and determination, she was ready to fight to the very end to stop Heavy from leaving, and now she felt she had the power to do just that.
Heavy just glared at her ready to fight to the end as well as he watched her glow bright purple and fill the entire special place with her great light, he could feel the power coming off her, it was definitely taking him by surprise. He still kept a cool head and started to look over her with his enhanced eye sight, but even with such an eye sight he could not determine the amount of strength that was growing within the filly. This began to frustrate the colt as he growled a bit while Twilight did not move an inch.
"I'm done with all this, what the hay is this?!"Heavy exclaimed as he got into a defensive position.
"This all your teachings Heavy Weight! And I will never forget all that you have taught me, and that's why I'm going to warn you of this once,"Twilight growled loudly as her magic wave disappeared and a stable aura of magic surrounded her,"I won't let you leave me, not after everything we had done together! I'm going to lose you like this!"
"So what are you prepared to do If I continue doing this?!"Heavy questioned as his horn flared with fiery magic surrounding his horn.
"Well if you're not going to listen to me... Then I'll just beat you to pieces and drag you HOME!"Twilight shouted as she let out a roar.
Along with a vicious roar, a sudden blast of force blew right out of her mouth and was carried in a bubble of magic as it soared towards her opponent, and blasted Heavy Weight with enough force to knock the young stallion through the air. Heavy was shocked to see him in such a situation as he attempted to regain his balance in the air, but he was then stopped as he saw Twilight right in front of his face before delivering a gut crushing blow to his stomach making him cringe with an exceptional amount of pain.
He had no time to recover as he then felt Twilight punish his stomach further with a few more brutal hoof uppercuts to the gut that lifted him into the air even more. After one more blow to the jaw, Twilight then spun around and quickly bucked him in the jaw and knocked him back a few more more feet before he skipped on the muddy ground before landing on his hooves. He grind to a stop feeling mud pile up behind him as he slowed to a halt only to see an incoming shadow on the ground.
He looked up into the moon lit sky to see Twilight soaring down from the air in a flash of great speed and slam him deep into the soft ground with both front hooves. Twilight watched Heavy disappear into the ground before lifting her head up as well as her front legs and shouting out in a wave of anger, frustration, but most of all determination. She then came back down as her eyes blinked a purple light and a spark as she looked around for her missing friend.
She didn't have to wait long for the ground to explode right behind her as three Heavy Weights appeared in a straight row and grit their teeth at her before blasting three beams of magic at her. Twilight instantly took off with blinding speed narrowly dodging the blasts before swooping around in a complete circle before smacking all three Heavy clones into the air and stopping as they disappeared, she then turned around to face the real Heavy Weight who had just emerged near the water fall.
She quickly took off once more and ran towards Heavy just as he put up his shield to defend, but Twilight put her head down and head butted through the shield shattering it to pieces as before smashing heads with Heavy. She then cracked Heavy across the jaw with a left before swinging her back legs around for a round house and smacking Heavy on the other side of his jaw before leaping into the air and landing right on Heavy's shoulders. With a hard push from her back legs, Twilight managed to shove Heavy right into the large pond allowing him to land on his back and float in the pond before jumping into the air.
Heavy looked up as he floated on his back in the water and saw Twilight coming in completely surrounded in magic, he quickly then reacted by opening his mouth and unleashing a stream of blue flames at her. However, Twilight was not deterred as she surrounded herself with a shield and clashed with the flames as she descended through the flames and found Heavy at the bottom as she crashed into him like a missile.
Twilight disappeared as their fight took place underwater, Twilight was no where to be seen while Heavy was struggling and trying to swim to the surface to escape, but Twilight made that impossible as she shot like a missile through the water and smashed into his gut. She disappeared as Heavy swung at her but only struck water as he looked around just in time to get hit from below in the jaw. He quickly then swam to the surface knowing he had no chance of fighting like this as he quickly exploded out of the water and into the air.
It proved to be a mistake as Twilight appeared out of the water growling and glowing with great magical power as she froze in the air and suddenly shot off towards him in the infamous comet charge attack. In another flash of speed she slammed into Heavy and carried him towards the mountain and crashed straight into it sending rocks and dust flying as a massive hole was now in the side of the mountain.
When the dust cleared from the new hole in the mountain, Heavy Weight and Twilight appeared with scratches all over them as Twilight now had Heavy pinned against the rocks staring angrily at him while he just looked away from her.
"Alright! Now I've beaten you, now you're coming with me and I'm going to take you home, and you're going to stop all this running away nonsense,"Twilight yelled in Heavy's face while he continued to look away from her,"I swear Heavy, if you don't stop this I will pulverize you and then take you back to the city, now snap out of this right NOW!
Heavy just laid there unresponsive to Twilight for he found himself in a situation he never thought he could be in, he slowly turned his head to Twilight as he felt a small tear leave his right eye and surprise Twilight in the process. He shuddered a bit as Twilight loosened her grip on him as he glared at her in anger and misery for all that was now happening at this very moment, there was only one thing he could say to her at this moment.
"Just...shut up Twilight...! You have know idea what I have been through my whole life, how can you just tell me to get over it when you don't even understand me,"Heavy said as his look turned fierce while he got to his hooves,"You had everything you could possibly want out of life, you have parents, a brother, the trust and love of a princess, you have no idea what its like not to have all that!"
Heavy suddenly then tackled Twilight in the chest and forced her down into the waterfall, they were carried all the way down the mountain through the falls before finally crashing into the pond before them. It didn't take long for the water to churn and the two students to emerge out of the water and stand on opposite sides of the pond. They stared each other down once more letting out deep breathes of exhaustion from their constant swims, though Heavy was still angry and full of energy on the inside as his will remained strong.
"You're right Heavy... I don't know what it's like... To lose a beloved family member, let alone the only family I ever had, and I don't know what it's like to be chained up and kept as a prisoner,"Twilight said as she bowed her head in shame imagining Heavy's distress,"But... It always hurt to see you so sad and alone, feeling like you were surrounded by enemies and no love ones..."
"Twilight... That's just... Not enough! You are too precious and innocent to understand this kind of pain, and you never will!"Heavy said in defiance with Twilight's honesty.
"I did want to... I wanted to understand a lot of things about you... I grew to care for you so much that... I couldn't stop no matter what happened,"Twilight said solemnly as she lifted up her head to look to Heavy,"Even now... It hurts every time I have to fight you like this, and I really don't want to do this..."
"Then why Twilight... Why would you do all of this for me? what would make you come so far for me...?"Heavy asked in surprise and solemn as he realized his and Twilight's actions more.
"Because even now... I still love you Heavy Weight... And no matter what happens, I will never stop loving you,"Twilight confessed as her eyes became full of tears before she quickly wiped them away,"That's why I came so far... And that's why I will do anything and everything in my power to stop you...!"
Heavy felt himself jolt in the inside at Twilight's promise and confession, he felt something melt within him and threaten to change his mind, he quickly managed to fight the feelings that were growing with him as he kept a solid face.
"It's too late Twilight... It's just too late... I'm not going back to that castle and being the princesses slave...!"Heavy said as he let out a big sigh before suddenly making a move.
He suddenly in an instant lit up his horn and blasted a beam into the water, and in that instant a massive tide took form and grew large as it then rolled towards Twilight. The mist of the tidal wave appeared to even make the picture of Golden Heart tear up and allowed watery tears to stream down the face as Twilight quickly dodged the tidal wave with ease and appeared on the right side of Heavy.
Heavy looked to his right and smirked as his whole body then began to glow brightly with ice blue magic, waves of ice blue and heavy magic instantly dried the ground around him, the ground then eventually cracked and crumbled as great power surged through Heavy's body. He smiled as he felt the power growing and flaring within him, he let out chuckles as he brought the power under control and watched as a heavy aura surround his body evenly and fill him with unlimited strength.
Twilight looked a bit surprised by this sudden burst of power, and yet she felt almost no fear as she took a defensive position and readied herself for a fight while Heavy continued to chuckle before staring her down with glowing blue eyes.
"Come Twilight! It's time we settle this whole rivalry deal, all those times I've been going easy on you, but no more!"Heavy demanded as he took a fighting stance.
"So just like that huh? That's all there is now right...? A rivalry...?"Twilight questioned as she got serious at his fighting stance.
"Well that was what you wanted, and besides... You're my rival and my toughest opponent yet, and I want to make this one count for something,"Heavy explained as his body tensed and the air around him got heavy,"It's time that we had this out as equal fighters and students of Celestia...!"
"Fine... I guess the only thing that's going to convince you is fighting, so I guess there can be no more words... Heavy!"Twilight snapped as her horn flared and she readied herself to charge.
"Yes Twilight! No more words, the only talking that will be done now is through our hooves... NOW COME!"Heavy fiercely commanded as Twilight obliged.
Twilight started as she glowed bright purple once more and dashed for Heavy once more, but this time the outcome was different as Heavy suddenly began to see her as clear as crystal and was seeing every small movement she was making. He smirked as he timed his move and caught a flying hoof from Twilight and head butted her in the fore head, he then swung his back legs around and kicked her in the side of the jaw sending her flying just as he then teleported.
He reappeared right in the air exactly where Twilight was flying and brought both hooves down as his hooves slammed against her head and forced her down to the ground making her crash and kick up mud in the ground. Twilight quickly reacted and shot a blast of magic straight at Heavy who quickly spun and dodged the attack before landing on the mountain, he stood their in a mocking position as he watched Twilight burst out of the mud and run up the mountain to catch him.
He chuckled at her tenacity as he ducked to avoid a flying right and side stepped to dodge a left, he then jumped to dodge a full leg sweep before swinging his legs and kicking Twilight across the jaw forcing her away from him as she managed to stay on the mountain and face Heavy. She was now confused as Heavy teleported to her and surprised her as a Heavy clone dropped from above and crushed her into the mountain and forming a crater that had a better foot hold than regular smooth rock.
She shook off the pain in her back from the incoming missile and looked up to see Heavy a few feet from her staring her down with his glowing eyes as she tried to come to grips with what was happening.
"That's not good... He's finally gotten serious, I didn't know he was storing that much power in his body still,"Twilight said to herself as she quickly stood tall once more,"But I can't go throwing in the towel now, I can't lose here, I just can't!"
With that stated, Twilight took off again and attempted to disappear in her mad dashes of great speed to attack Heavy, but his eyes were focused and keen as he watched every movement and subtle change in Twilight's body. He quickly dodged two incoming blows quickly and gave her an irritating jab that she shook off before throwing another right hoof at him only for Heavy to duck and head butt her from below launching her into the air.
Twilight quickly looked to Heavy to see a blue blast of magic coming before she teleported out of the blue magics path and quickly reappeared in front of Heavy now feeling more frustrated from the sudden turn the fight had taken. She let out a growl by throwing all doubt away and getting ready again and suddenly taking off on the side in an attempt to confuse Heavy, but the colt kept his cool as he reared back a right hoof and stood there studying the movements of his foe before finally unleashing his attack.
Twilight swung a left hoof to attack, but the carefully time right hook of Heavy countered her attack as he smashed his hoof against Twilight's face and knocked her right off the mountain and sent her back into the water. Heavy continued to let a smirk control his face as he then made his horn glow and suddenly teleport off the mountain to investigate, and as he teleported to the edge of the pond right by his mother's grave stone, he looked and believed that he had won.
He watched for a few more moments at the pond to be sure, but there was no stir or even the slightest movement in the water, and finally that's when he knew that he had bested his foe and could now leave with no trouble. It was then that all that thinking was ruined as he widened his eyes to see a drenched and still glowing Twilight before him panting from a swim in the pond, and exhaustion from the failed attacks on her colt friend. He just kept his smirk as he shook his head in disappointment at her tenacity and her failure to best him so far, and yet she was not deterred.
"Well what are you waiting for Twilight? your better than this...! show me some more of that fire I have seen in your eyes before!" Heavy demanded knowing the tenacity she still had within her.
"Alright then Heavy... How's this?!"Twilight questioned suddenly as she suddenly began sprouting multiple purple masses.
Twilight gritted her teeth before making her horn glow and perfecting the maximum limit for another spell she learned from Heavy, in a bunch of bright purple flashes and some configuring with the mass, about twenty clones of Twilight were spawned and they were all staring Heavy down. Heavy smiled with excitement as he then instantly used his magic to summon twenty of his own clones to the party. As clones of Twilight and Heavy stared each other down, in a split second, all the Twilight's made the first move, charging in like an entire army, Heavy and his clones then charge at Twilight and her clones, and in a flurry of hoofs and kicks the small armies collided into massive battle.
Fights broke out every where between odd and even amounts of Heavys and Twilights, one Heavy bit into a Twilight's neck and shook her like a dog with a chew toy before being bucked in the ribs by another Twilight. Another Heavy then came in and slammed right into both Twilight's like a mad bull as he then began blasting Twilight clones every where he looked as he ran through the armies.
One Twilight cloned shot a blast at a Heavy clone, but she then paid for it by a dog pile by three Heavy's that began to pulverize her to nothing before they turned and shot three blasts into the crowd. Twilight clones proved to have the disadvantage in the fight as many more were disappearing in a flash while Heavy was losing much fewer clones in the scrap. The Heavy clones then chose to end this as they all lit up their horns and suddenly picked up the Twilight clones and smashed them together before placing them in a small pile.
With the Twilight clones beaten Heavy dismissed his own and watched as they went away in a cloud of blue sparks,he then looked at the pile of unconscious Twilight clones as they all then suddenly disappeared in a burst of purple sparks and magic. Strangely enough, it left Heavy alone and confused as he could not see the real Twilight in the pile before it disappeared, he looked around in confusion for he could not find the real Twilight anywhere. Suddenly the ground shook and he immediately thought of it as a possible earthquake, but it wasn't an earthquake at all.
In a small explosion of dust and purple Twilight emerge from the ground right below Heavy in comet charge form and slammed hard into Heavy's gut, she then carried him high up into the air until she crashed them both into the top of the mountain right where the waterfall came from. Rocks crumbled and fell from the mountain peak into the water fall as Twilight then began to struggle with pinning him against the mountain rocks again, suddenly her faced was grabbed by both of Heavy's hooves. He then rose above her and gritted his teeth as his horn lit up incredibly bright.
In that moment he let loose the biggest blast of magic he could blast, the blast hit Twilight and carried her all the way back down to the muddy grounds before exploding in a massive blast of dust rubble and ice blue flame like magic. Heavy looked down at the explosion with shock and disbelief as the dust and flames slowly settled down to revealed a now beaten battered and bruised Twilight who could barely stand up and looked highly dazed from the looks of it. Heavy just got angry at her resilience, as he jumped from the peak of the mountain and poured his magic into his front hooves.
"Heavy...! Please...!"Twilight begged as she stumbled to her knees.
"It's too late Twilight, you will never convince me to come back! Never...! EVER,"Heavy shouted as he descended towards her,"TWILIGHT!"
Finally in that moment everything went still for a moment before Heavy suddenly brought his hooves down on Twilight's side and crushed her into the ground below her in a massive explosion of dust and rock. Twilight hit the ground hard as her legs went up in the air before she slowly went limp and tipped over before finally going on conscious with Heavy looking at her from on top of the downed fellow student. Heavy was shocked and confused as he felt small breaths of his vanquished foe knowing that this time he was victorious for sure as he slowly got off her.
Heavy was now tired as he slowly crawled out of the big crater of muddy ground and began to leave with a little more than a few scratches and bruises as well as a bit of exhaustion from the fight as he left. Leaving Twilight however once again proved to be more difficult to do as he suddenly felt something coming up from right behind him, in the distance he could hear the voices of none other than princess Celestia and Shining Armor themselves as he then became alerted, now he had to get out of the special place right away.
As he walked away, Twilight on the other hoof began to have more flash backs in the back of her head of her and Heavy together, her flash backs then came to the most friendly thing they said to each other before all this. Those three words she told him still echoed in the back of her head and she felt his reply to those words suddenly start to awaken something in her, something of great power, and color of the rainbow.
She felt another spark strike her eyes before her vision was suddenly seeing rainbow colors in her vision that mixed with a much clearer and keen sight as she felt herself lift up from the ground before feeling a sudden burst of power coming forth. Heavy himself froze as he felt this great power and quickly turned around only to be surprised by the sudden sparkling rainbow eyes of Twilight before he was suddenly slugged right in the muzzle and sent flying a good ten feet before landing in the muddy ground.
Heavy was about to get up, but he then suddenly felt an excruciating pain in his muzzle that felt like a thousand needles as he then groaned and growled in pain while holding his muzzle to try and take the pain. While he was struggling, Twilight felt the power burning her mind as she watched a wave of rainbow colored power start to change her, the power felt all too worth it, but the physical changes were certainly strange.
Her mane and tail suddenly grew twice as long while a color of yellow streaked down next to her pink and dark purple as if it was a part of her look now, but what came next was more incredible as she looked to her back. She then suddenly saw to her astonishment that strange wings made purely of magic appeared on her back, they consisted of three different colors, the first line was the color of her magic aura. The next was a magenta colored magic in the middle layer of the wings, and it then ended with a deep purple line of magic finishing the form of the wings.
"HEAVY!" Twilight roared in a magically enhanced voice as she stomped down on the ground with new hooves.
Heavy was in complete shock and even felt a bit of fear from the transformation Twilight had taken as he noticed a bunch of small six pointed stars like Twilight's cutie mark appear on her hooves. Her new mane and tail waved as if it blew in the wind some what like the princess herself as Heavy readied himself for battle while Twilight just growled and got into a strong and powerful looking stance. He could see the rainbow magic in her eyes, her determination and desire to best him was still strong yet, and it was beginning to scare Heavy as he felt a bit unsure of himself now.
"What is this?! Where does she keep getting all this power from, and what the hay is this kind of power?!"Heavy exclaimed in astonishment before it was then replaced by frustration,"Well... I guess there's only one way to find out, This fight is just getting started Twilight!"
Meanwhile just at the entrance to the special place, princess Celestia, Shining Armor and the parents of both Twilight and Shining had finally maneuvered and even had to fix a few things on the path as they finally were able to get through the rigid path. Celestia gladly helped them all squeeze through the last of the obstacles as they all then looked solemnly out towards the special place, but all of it was different, many things were now left in devastation and destruction.
"I knew they must have been here! Oh the destruction this place has endured..."Celestia said in a solemn tone as Shining Armor let out a sigh.
"I almost forgot what this place looks like... Heavy and Twilight must really be going at it...!"Shining Armor exclaimed with disbelief.
"Yes... But we must stay focused, so where would they be...?"Night Life questioned before they all got their answer.
"Look! There they are...! And what the hay happened to our baby!"Twilight Velvet exclaimed as all the heads of the group turned towards the waterfall.
They all then suddenly dropped their jaws to see Twilight Sparkle facing down the escaped young stallion in her new form, Heavy remained strong while the new onlookers were frozen with shock as they noticed the damage from both parties. It was obvious that both stallion and young filly had fought hard, and now their battle was reaching their peak as rainbow magic lit up the special place. All the group could do is watch as the fight then suddenly started again with Heavy's first move.
"Twilight... How far have you come...? How far will you go for him?"Celestia questioned to herself in the moment of the battle.
Heavy then suddenly made his move as he lit up his body with as much magic as he could before taking off and trying to circle Twilight, but Twilight was not being fooled as she sprouted her magic wings and took off into the sky. Heavy stopped in his tracks as he watched Twilight circle around him like a hawk, he was now irritated as he then blasted as many magical orbs into the air in an attempt to shoot her down, but hitting a flying object proved to be a challenge for Heavy.
She dodged every single orb and even manage to dodge one orb as it exploded into five different blasts of magic, and yet the attacks did not strike her, the rainbow magic proved to be to hard to focus on and felt like a blur to Heavy. He was then finally able to see Twilight swooping in like a falcon and thought fast as he opened his mouth and unleashed a large blast of flames at his foe and thankfully made its mark as it struck Twilight in midair.
It was then to Heavy's surprise that the blue flames instantly dispersed and showed Twilight completely unscathed by the brutal attack as she descended from her flight and landed on her sparkling hooves as she growled at him. He was about to attack again, but he was then thwarted as a rock suddenly appeared out of nowhere and crushed Heavy completely under it, but the rock did not stop Heavy as he exploded out of the rock instantly to see that Twilight was charging at him.
He quickly blasted another beam of magic at her only for Twilight to blow his mind by running right through the beam and coming right for his face, leaving Heavy with no choice but to brace for impact. He felt as Twilight crashed right into his chest and suddenly sent him skipping across the muddy ground and even starting to skip across the pond narrowly avoiding his mother's grave as he suddenly smashed right into the mountain forcing rocks to fall into the pond.
Celestia had to hold onto the family as they watched giant splashes from both Heavy and the rocks hitting the water as giant waves finally washed Heavy all the way from the center of the pond to the small shore. He struggled to get to his hooves as he looked back only to see the water suddenly bubble and shake the mountain before a giant rainbow tentacle raised from the wave and suddenly threatened to crush Heavy. Thankfully the stallion side stepped out of the way and dodged the tentacle only to get surprised by another that suddenly exploded from the ground and wrap around Heavy.
He felt the tentacle constrict him before he saw Twilight on the other end of it with the tentacle connected to her horn, she then let out a shout as she reeled Heavy in quickly with a massive force as she reared back a hoof. Heavy shouted as Twilight let out a roar of anger before slugging Heavy as hard as she could sending Heavy skipping across the pond again before crashing back into the mountain and even making a small cave in the process. Heavy sat there in the giant cave like hole now a little shaky and was now significantly injured as he felt the pressure at how fast the battle had taken a turn.
As Heavy stood up on shaky legs, Twilight growled as she then got ready and charged once more at the young stallion while Heavy closed his eyes preparing for the worse, for he believed once again that he was not the best, and he was going to lose. Heavy suddenly began to have flashbacks of what his mother and father had said in his dream, they had believed that there was an even greater power within him, they knew Twilight was going to be a challenge, but they knew if Heavy believed, he could do this.
"I... I can't lose here! I CAN'T LOSE...! I... I will be the best!"Heavy shouted in his last attempt for courage.
He then felt the power finally start to grow within him, he then started to breath easily as he closed his eyes and caste his fears to the wind, now was a time for Heavy to believe, he didn't need to be the best, now he can believe that he was the best. He focused as the power grew more and more before he felt himself glowing and feeling as if he was going to explode, and once he opened his eyes... He believed in his power.
"I... I am the best!"Heavy announced as Twilight closed in.
As Twilight finally made contact with her blow a small explosion rung out kicking up dust and rocks, and with that dust a bright ice blue flash shot into the air and exploded like fire works in the form of Heavy's cutie mark, it lit up the special place for a second before disappearing. The dust slowly began to clear as Twilight did feel that she had struck something in the dust and confusion, but as the dust was completely settled she was shocked and even a bit scared to see what she was now looking at.
A large white wing came out of nowhere and stopped her attack cold, when the dust had finally ended completely, Twilight and even the spectators were overwhelmed as they saw that the wing had come from none other than Heavy Weight himself. The young stallion was now standing with the one wing at his left protecting him from harm as he too went through a transformation. He gave Twilight a cold stare before smirking while his mane and tail suddenly flared up and had transformed into ice blue fire as he spread his one wing out.
He then flapped it and sent Twilight flying into another part of the mountain, Twilight felt a jolt of pain in her back as she struggle to get out of another hole in the mountain only to see Heavy Weight once more. His mane and tail now looked like it was literally on fire with icy blue flames, his horn even appeared to have changed as it now appeared to be twice as long and much more sharp looking. It was then that Heavy suddenly felt a sharp pain in the right side of his back, then as he grunted and groaned in pain he felt right wing grow out of his back and spread wide like the other wing showing off what he had now become, Heavy was no longer a unicorn... He was now an Alicorn.
"H-Heavy Weight... What has happened to you?" she asked in horror and shock as she stood at the other side of the mountain.
"Ha...! Isn't it obvious Twilight...? This is the power my parents have spoken of in my dreams... I am now an Alicorn,"Heavy said as he then suddenly felt taken by the power that had now surfaced,"And this power! Oh Twilight if you could only feel a bit of this power! It is overwhelming, I... I feel invincible, nothing could best me!"
"This still isn't over yet Heavy... We still have a battle to finish! I don't care if you're an Alicorn now, I'm won't quit until I beat you!"Twilight said with anger as she surrounded herself in in a purple veil.
"So that's how its gonna be huh? a fight to the very end? very well... Have it your way Twilight..."Heavy said solemnly with a frown as he surrounded himself in his own magic.
They both made their magic swirl around them as they both began to float, only this time they both used their wings to help them float rather than their magic. They both gave each other hard stares as they then shot at each other like bullets on a head on collision in their comet charge forms while princess Celestia and Twilight's entire family looked on in fear, horror, and astonishment as the two soared for each other.
They both used their wings to help carry them in a more firm and more powerful attack as they poured every ounce of magic into this final move, they could see into each others eyes and saw two response for this fight... Love... And freedom. Finally in that sudden moment as the spectators held onto each other to brace, they made a hard impact into each other sending magical waves so far and so hard that they shook the entire mountain and possibly city of Canterlot.
As they inched closer and touched heads, a solid white orb suddenly formed around them and began to grow large, Celestia and the Sparkle family had let their jaws drop at the spectacle as they saw the two ponies inside the orb that were now locked in with each other. In the struggle, Twilight leaned in and with a bit more strength, she manage to slice a deep cut down the center of Heavy's right eye with her horn, but in return she got the ultimate right hoof to the gut.
In the light of the orb, the family themselves could see Heavy with his hoof crushing her gut while a large cut was now bleeding significantly from his right eye and he cringed in pain, but that pain paled in comparison to Twilight's pain. The pain Twilight felt was like a small death as she began to lose consciousness, but not before giving Heavy the saddest look she could ever give, her eyes were full of tears while Heavy was now staring sadly at her with blood dripping down from his eye in the form of a tear before the orb finally blew apart in a flurry of rainbow sparks.
Twilight then slowly plummeted to the ground as her rainbow magic disappeared instantly and landed on the ground hard while Heavy descended from the air and landed gently thanks to his new wings. He put a hoof on the unconscious Twilight's belly symbolizing his victory, but he then gave Twilight a solemn look as blood dripped from the wound on his right eye and landed on her face. She looked peaceful now, she was unconscious and badly beaten, their were scratches and bruises all over her, and their was even signs of broken bones within her body.
Heavy let out a sigh as the sky completely cleared up and lit up the special place even more with the glittering light of Celestia's sister's moon that lit up the whole scene that certainly horrified the spectators as they attempted to get closer. Heavy on the other hoof was now a bit sad at this moment, and he began to feel sorry that things came to all this, the fight, the arguing, all of which was with the one friend and love one he had in the city, a young mare that was willing to fight him to the very end just to stop him.
"Twilight... I'm... So sorry Twilight... I wish it had never come to this,"Heavy said solemnly as he leaned down and suddenly shared one more kiss with his filly friend,"I'm sorry, but I have to go now... I love you."
"My baby! What did you do to her?!"Came the exclaiming voice of Night Life.
"Heavy! What the buck did you do?!"Shining Armor yelled in a shaky voice full of fear.
Heavy finally turned to see not only Twilight's family looking on with emotional mixtures of fear, disbelief, and anger, but what really got his blood boiling was seeing a very fearful and shocked princess Celestia looking upon him. She was in deep shock while Heavy now looked upon her with a great and seething hatred that made him want to hurt her as he slowly lifted his hoof off Twilight and turned to the four spectators.
"What do you weaklings want, haven't you done enough princess?!"Heavy yelled as he angrily flapped his wings at them while his mane flared into a blaze.
"H-Heavy, I had no idea you could become an Alicorn,you... You have actually ascended, you truly are a special pony,"Celestia attempted to reason with showing off a nervous smile,"I-if you come with me I can teach you to control this new magic you have obtained, hows that sound? Let me help you..."
"BUCK OFF! I don't need you, all of you are nothing to me now, the only reason I'm not killing you right now princess is because of Twilight, she needs you right now,"Heavy said as he looked to the unconscious Twilight before looking back to the princess,"Don't even think about stopping me princess... I will hate you until the end of time now for what you did to me, just stay away from me! ALL OF YOU!"
With that warning, Heavy opened up his wings and sprouted them nice and wide as he looked to the sky that was full of stars and a full moon this night, he then took off with a powerful flap of his wings leaving every pony else to deal with the badly injured Twilight. Heavy felt memory after memory pour into his mind as he shot right into the air and was now high in the sky as if he was now with the stars. His mother and father, the history he had with Twilight and Shining Armor, the princess, and even Dark Shine haunted him as he looked to a forest in the distance.
Heavy then took off towards the forest, he flew as far as he could, still tired from the battle with Twilight as he stumbled a bit with his new wings, but thankfully he was able to maintain his balance and even fly a lot faster as he aimed for the forest. After a few minutes of intense flying with his new wings He finally made it to the forest, he then decided to land at the edge of the forest and chose to go the rest of the way on hoof.
He then turned to look back at Canterlot, he then began to remember everything he knew including his entire child hood, from the day he first saw his mother, to this very day that marked him as a run away and a dangerous rogue pony. Heavy then suddenly began to silently cry at how his life had taken such a turn, he went from an esteem student of princess Celestia to a rogue pony on the run from the princess. Tears streamed down his cheek as he then thought about Twilight and how he had just brought harm to his only friend, and his filly friend.
Finally Heavy couldn't stand all the grief that had now began to strike him in both mind and heart as he finally ran into the forest, allowing his tears to flow freely, Heavy ran deeper and deeper until he finally disappeared.
"I'M SORRY TWILIGHT!"He shouted in an explosion of grief as he no longer could be seen or found.
Canterlot Hospital, Few Days Later
It had been days since that faithful fight that ended in the lost of one student and the crushing defeat of another as Twilight Sparkle was now laying in a patient room bed with bandages wrapped all around her body. All four legs had a roll of bandages around them, her mane was almost completely wrapped up in bandages while her nose had a guard on it due to it being broken. Her body was wrapped up in bandages as well, but it was all covered up by a patients robe she was placed in as she slept in bed since that day.
Twilight's entire family was at her side sleeping in chairs next to her bed, the princess herself had even arrived at that time with a bundle of flowers in her golden magic grasp as she entered the room and looked to the distraught family. Celestia let out a sigh as she knew that all of this was her fault, for two years she had pushed Heavy and treated him like a prisoner and a dog while guards would put him down and treat him like scum. If she had just been patient and took better steps for him, none of this would have happened, all this made the princesses heart grow heavy with regret. She had lost another student to her arrogant and bad judgement once again.
Celestia felt a small tear leave her eyes as she calmly walked over to Twilight and sat the flowers in a small water filled vase right next to her on a small white table, she then looked to her one pupil as she rested easily now. Celestia then couldn't help but give Twilight a grieving nuzzle against her cheek as a way of trying to beg for forgiveness for driving Heavy Weight away, she knew the news would strike Twilight the hardest, for Twilight had done everything in her power to stop the one she loved... But she just wasn't strong enough.
The princess slowly and silently lifted her head up and let out another sorrow filled sigh as she turned around and began to leave as she heard the family starting to wake, but she then stopped as she heard some pony else finally awaken. She turned around in an instant to see Twilight whimper and let out a small moan before her eyes slowly fluttered open, her family also began to stir and awake as they too heard Twilight's awakening calls.
Twilight then let one more moan out as she slowly sat up from her bed and let out a small yawn as her family was instantly awake and tensed up with feelings of both sadness and happiness to see their daughter and sister finally awake. The princess herself let out a happy gasp before making her way over to her injured student, but the family got to her first and stood at the side of her bed as Twilight rubbed at her eyes and looked around the room.
"Wh-where am I...? What happened to me?"Twilight said with barely any memory as she looked to the bandages all over her.
"TWILIGHT!"Exclaimed her whole family.
"Twily...! I can't believe it! You're okay... You're going to be okay...!"Shining Armor said as he hugged her while hiding tears that left his eyes.
"Twilight...! Oh my baby, I'm so sorry, this is all my fault, how could I have let you get so close to that monster,"Night Life exclaimed as he too hugged her,"I promise we will be there for you from now on, I promise we won't let any harm come to you again!"
"Oh my goodness, my baby is going to be okay... Thank Celestia...!"Velvet said worriedly as she joined in the hug.
"Shining Armor, mom, dad, what are all of you doing here, how did I get here, what in the world happened?"Twilight questioned as they all parted from the group hug just for Twilight to look to herself.
"Do not fear my faithful student... You will be fine, but you were in very bad shape when we found you, and... I'm afraid I have some bad news..."Celestia suddenly chimed in making her presence known as she looked upon the family solemnly,"It is good to see you awake Twilight Sparkle..."
"Princess Celestia! It's you and... You're here but... What happened to me, what are you doing here and,"Twilight started as a real important question suddenly went off in her mind and out her mouth,"Heavy Weight...! Where's Heavy princess, is he alright?!"
"Twilight... We need to talk about something... And... I'm afraid you will not like what I have to say,"Celestia said while the family looked to her solemnly as she felt fear through her body,"Twilight... Heavy did this to you, he became an Alicorn and he defeated you..."
"We were so blown away by what he became and all that fighting the two of you did that we couldn't stop him, and after what he did to you, we couldn't dare to get near him...!"Shining Armor said as Twilight looked to all them as she felt herself about to get sick.
"Where is he?!"Twilight questioned as she felt tears stinging her eyes.
"Twilight... He escaped us and disappeared into the ancient forest you know as the Ever Free forest, we... Couldn't find him anywhere..."Celestia said in a sad tone as they all could hear sudden shaky sobs starting to come from Twilight.
They slowly looked to Twilight to see her eyes letting loose streams of tears while her teeth gritted together in unbelievable pain and denial, but now that she knew this, she had no choice but to accept it. She continued to shake her head in disbelief as she covered her head with both hooves trying to block them out as she was about to burst into tears.
"Twilight... I'm sorry Twilight, really I am... I wish there could have been more we could have done...!"Celestia said before they jumped as Twilight suddenly threw the covers off herself.
"NO...! No this can't be, I need to go, I need to save him,"Twilight frantically yelled out as she jumped from her bed and made for the door,"He can't be gone, I won't let him be alone out there, THIS CAN'T BE!"
"Twilight stop,"Shining Armor yelled as he jumped for her and hugged Twilight to keep her from running,"Twilight there is nothing you can do, you're too injured to go anywhere, and it's too dangerous for any pony to go to the Ever Free forest!"
"Like you even care! you and all those others out there didn't care about Heavy, all you jerks did was treat him like an animal and a monster...! Let go of me Shining Armor,"Twilight fussed as Shining managed to bring her over to the her bed and sit her there,"I need to go out there and save him, I'm the only one he has ever cared for and loved, he trusts me...!"
Twilight finally began to breakdown into uncontrollable sobs as she dropped onto her back in bed and covered her face with both hooves, all her family could do is offer comfort to her while the princess also grieved for this loss. She knew Twilight was going to take this hard, and there was no amount of apologizing that could make it better, all they could do is grieve.
Twilight felt as if her heart had been pulled from her chest and a big hole had now made it's home within her, she cried and cried as the loss of her most beloved friend and colt friend knowing that there was a good chance she would never see him again. Her tears seemed endless as her brother offered her a shoulder to cry on, she sobbed into her brothers shoulder making Shining Armor's heart hurt for her loss. All her parents could do is offer comforting rubs to her back an nuzzles to her cheek, but no amount of love was going to heal Twilight's broken heart.
Celestia herself had also broke into silent sobs as tears streamed down her face, she knew this was all her fault and now she has lost another student, and to top it off, she had given a third student a broken heart. The princess herself could not stop her crying for she could feel the very pain her last student was now feeling, and she had not felt a pain like this since the day she sealed away her own sister, and it even stung twice as bad.
Suddenly it was then that Celestia remembered something that she had found while Twilight was in the hospital, she quickly lifted her head up in realization and wiped away the tears from her eyes. She then conjured up a spell with her magic and suddenly made a flash of light go off in the room gaining every pony's attention while temporarily ceasing all the tears as a square object wrapped in paper suddenly appeared before the princess.
"I... Almost forgot about this... I found it in his room Twilight... It looked like he wanted you to have it,"Celestia said as she shakily levitated the book to Twilight as she wiped the tears from her eyes before taking it,"Take it... He would have wanted you to have it..."
Twilight took up the large square object and began to unwrap all the paper around it knowing it must have been special, and once she had opened the little gift up, she knew it was special for what she now held in front of her was a book. It was none other than the book Heavy had been making from day one, her eyes widened in shock as tears threatened to leave her eyes knowing how important this book was to Heavy, and the fact that he was trusting it to her meant he still cared for her.
It was then as her family and the princess hovered over her, Twilight then noticed a note stuck to the back of the book and quickly took it up and unfold it before she finally began to read it.
Dear Twilight
I'm sorry it had come to all of this, but I know you will understand in time when I'm gone and out of Canterlot. I know you didn't want me to leave, and I know you will try to stop me when I leave the city, because you love me so much. So...I just want to say that no matter what happens I will love you too, but I needed to get away from Celestia, any longer of being her pet and I would have gone insane. Look... I know you're probably reading this now and in a lot of pain, but... Just so you can remember me as I will always remember you for the love you showed me, I'm giving you my book, and you can be the illustrator. I want you to publish it and copy it so many unicorns can use these powers in the future, it will help all unicorns of the future, it would mean a lot if you did this. I will never forget the friendship and the love you showed me, at least you made me feel somewhat happy again since my mother's passing, and I will never forget you while I'm gone. Thank you Twilight... And I love you... I always will.
Love Heavy Weight
The minute Twilight finished reading the note, she allowed a tear to drop and hit the note as she threatened to start crying again, but instead she just turned to the book he had now left in her custody. She made the note disappear as she then took up the book itself and hugged it for comfort while nodding in response to the note's last wishes, she had now promised to carry out the last wishes for her love as she nodded.
"I will... I will do this for you Heavy, and I will get stronger from now on, I won't stop until I've gained the power I need to go out and find you..."Twilight promised as she snuggled the book.
"And with my teachings, I will help you become strong enough to find him... This I promise to you... My very faithful student..."Celestia said solemnly while Twilight then looked to the window.
"Heavy...? where ever you are, I hope you will find your destiny somewhere out there, and I hope that one day... You and me can see each other again... Someday,"Twilight stated to herself while she continued looking out the window with hope,"I love you Heavy Weight..."
It was from that day on that Twilight devoted herself to the soul purpose of learning as much about magic as she possibly could, she did in fact carry out Heavy's wish, she illustrated and then published his book for all to read. Many unicorns benefited from the book's teachings and it spawned a new generation of powerful unicorns, but they could never be as good as the unicorn that made the book.
Twilight on the other hoof kept the original book itself with her, and kept it a secret to all, she no longer even worried about making friends as she had only one friend on her mind, and that friend was her missing colt friend. She now studied tirelessly preparing herself for the day that she would be ready to go out and find Heavy Weight, but little did she know, Heavy Weight himself was alive out in the forest training like crazy and growing stronger with each day, preparing for the day that he would make his return.
