Hello everyone. Here is chapter 5. I hope that you will enjoy it. :)
While it was agreed that Banderas should be a temporary King, across the water was a nearby kingdom and it's a kingdom that is ruled by none other than Swain and he is a Green Macaw with a bad temper, which can be scary at times, as his own people found out very often.
He was sitting on his throne with his wife and Queen, Matilda, at his side holding their two children when a messenger came into the throne room which quickly caught the attention of Swain as he focused his attention on the messenger while knowing that it could be important.
The messenger, a male Green Macaw called Avang, was sweating with fear as he knew that his lord had a temper that could match the sound of Lightning in terms of force as he slowly made his way to the infamous King where he bowed until he is told to rise.
"You may rise, Avang, don't be afraid" said Swain as he looked at Avang. "What news has come from Albert's kingdom?".
"My lord, I bring you good news" said Avang as he looked at Swain. "Albert is off to fight a rebellion, he will be gone for three months, at least".
"Hmmm, a rebellion?, that's good" said Swain as he smiled. "Especially when that has caused Albert to be out of the way".
"Indeed, though, there is bad news" said Avang as he became nervous. "There's a rumour, that prince Banderas is to be crowned king, for stability purposes".
"Banderas?, the son of King Henry" said Swain as he clenched his fist. "It seems that Albert's nobles are becoming desperate, this rumour seems to prove it".
"It appears so, my lord, it looks that way" said Avang as he calmed down. "But, Albert left with only five hundred men, the rest of his army is back at his kingdom".
"Well then, we have a chance to beat Albert" said Swain as he smiled in delight. "We can attack from the north, to lure Albert further away from his kingdom".
"That's an excellent idea, Swain, just perfect" said Matilda as she smiled at her husband. "Along with the fact, that you have five thousand men at your disposal".
"And counting, we are getting more men" said Swain before he looked at Avang. "I will act and I will etch my name in legend, we set sail at once".
Matilda smiled as she kissed Swain's cheek much to the latter's happiness while Avang went to announce that the invasion is well underway and that they are going to set sail with the announcement creating a massive cheer from Swain's army and generals.
They quickly went to their boats where they loaded them with men and weapons while Swain watched in his generals as he knew that this is the most important day of his life and he wanted his name to live on forever, like the Viking warlord, Harald Hadrada.
Swain watched his men get on-board their ships before he turned to face his wife, who still carried their two children in her wings, knowing that this is an invasion that he might not come back from as he knew that Albert isn't the sort of guy to let his kingdom be invaded.
"My love, you will always be in my heart" said Swain as he smiled at Matilda. "Please tell our son, he is the heir of Albert's throne".
"I will, my dear, our daughter will know that, too" said Matilda as she kissed Swain. "Do whatever it takes, to win".
Swain nodded in agreement as he kissed Matilda on the beak which the latter gladly returned with the two lovebirds kissing for a few minutes until they broke and Swain kissed both of his two children before he boarded one of his ships and the entire army began to set sail for Albert's kingdom.
The King watched as his wife waved him goodbye and she blew kisses at him, a gesture that he gladly returned with the two lovebirds sharing one last final loving look as Swain watched as his wife and two children disappear from view and he began to focus his attention on heading for Albert's kingdom.
He heard his men chatting amongst themselves as they became excited at the prospect of showing Albert what they can do and they are also looking forward to killing Albert in order to put their King and leader, Swain, on the throne as they supported Swain's claim to the throne.
