Hello everyone. Here is chapter 6. I hope that you will enjoy it. :)
As Swain and his men had set sail towards the north of Albert's kingdom, Banderas was dressed in the royal clothing as he was patiently waiting to be crowned King in order to keep Albert's kingdom stable, which was a tradition for the kingdom as it saved them from civil war.
He wore the usual Kingly clothes for the special occasion and he was quite nervous, though, he tried to remain calm as he knew that it could be all over in a matter of minutes and he knew that the people of his best friend's kingdom would be looking to him for guidance.
Maria, herself, was looking forward to the ceremony, though, she wasn't sure if Banderas was ready to be crowned a temporary King and she did agree with the nobles that having the experience of being a King would give Banderas something to learn from in the near future.
Banderas waited and waited until he was finally told to enter the throne room as he began making his way to the throne where he kneeled as well as seeing Maria, who was looking beautiful as ever, before he turned his attention to the pope, Francis, who watched as Banderas sat on the throne.
Though, first, he held the bible in his wing and he asked Banderas to place his wing on the bible, Banderas complied as he placed his wing on the bible while Francis looked around to see if anyone wanted to object the coronation, only to find no one taking it on as he returned his attention to Banderas.
"Prince Banderas, a loyal friend of our King, Albert" said Francis as he looked at Banderas. "Do you pledge to love and protect these people, in the name of King Albert?".
"I do" said Banderas.
"Do you pledge, to look after the Queen and protect her" said Francis. "Listen to her advice and treat her with equal respect?".
"I do" said Banderas.
"Do you pledge, to respect the wishes of the people" said Francis. "Who may help you succeed in your reign?".
"I do" said Banderas.
"So by heavenly grace and in the name of Jesus Christ" said Francis as he picked up the crown. "I hereby name Banderas, the temporary King of this kingdom".
He slowly put the crown on Banderas's head with the people cheering in happiness from the moment that the crown was placed on Banderas's head and everyone had smiles on their faces, Maria included, as they continued to cheer in the name of their temporary King, Banderas.
Once the crown is on Banderas's head, the people of Albert's kingdom began to bow down to their temporary King with Banderas blushing at the attention and he told them to rise while telling the people that he thanks them for witnessing his coronation and he tells them to enjoy the party.
Amongst the people that were bowing was a ten year-old young kid called Arthur and he was pleased to see that the kingdom that he hopes to represent as a royal messenger someday have a temporary King to take Albert's place until he returns from helping Alfred deal with the rebellion.
He and his family, after bowing along with everyone else, rose to their feet at Banderas's command and they all looked at Banderas as he announced to them that there is going to be a party to celebrate his coronation and the party will be held in the great hall, the people cheering in response.
Banderas began to walk by them and it was, then, that Arthur caught the temporary King's attention much to Banderas's happiness as he went to Arthur's level while Arthur's parents and siblings could only look at Banderas with happiness in their eyes, though, Arthur's younger brother, Cassius wasn't happy to see Banderas.
"Hello there, young man" said Banderas as he smiled at Arthur. "What's your name, little one?".
"My name is Arthur, your majesty" said Arthur as he bowed respectfully. "I have a dream to become a royal messenger, for this kingdom, your majesty".
"I'm sure that you will, little one" said Banderas as he looked at Arthur. "I will keep that in mind, I promise you that".
Arthur smiled at that and he bowed again to Banderas as the King nodded in acknowledgment before he got up and walked away with the guards following him while Arthur had the biggest smile on his face at what he just heard and he was really excited for his future career.
Banderas, himself, was happy as he was getting used to being a King and he began to walk away while being followed by the happy people of Albert's kingdom and they kept on cheering with Banderas waving back at them until they all entered the great hall where they started the party.
