After the ceremony was over, a party was held for the coronation of the new, but, temporary, King with cheers being heard from all of those that attended the party to celebrate the occasion as they hoped that things will go smoothly until Albert returns from fighting against the Rebels.
Banderas, himself, certainly did feel special about being crowned King and he felt that he now has a much more closer connection to God as he knew that being crowned King is a gift from God and he definitely felt as if God has given him this great gift to be the temporary leader of Albert's kingdom.
He was busy drinking some wine when he saw Maria walking over to him while wearing a silver dress which went from her shoulders to her talons as she walked towards Banderas with a smile on her face knowing that she has caught Banderas's attention with the latter realising it as he snapped back to his senses.
"Hello my Queen, I'm happy to see you again" said Banderas as he bowed to Maria. "Nice party, huh?".
"Banderas, you can call me, Maria, cheeky" said Maria as she giggled. "But yeah, it sure is a nice party".
"Especially when everyone is so happy" said Banderas as he smiled. "I like it, when the people are happy".
"Me too, it lets you know, everything is ok" said Maria as she held out her wing. "Come with me, Banderas, we can dance outside".
Banderas was surprised at first, but, he held Maria's wing with his own as she began to lead him away from the party and towards the balcony where they got outside, onto the balcony, before they began to slow-dance with each other as the two royals smiled at each other as they continued to dance.
The two looked into each other's eyes as Maria laid her head on Banderas's shoulder in order to enjoy the dance that they were sharing together at this very moment and they continued to dance with joy being clearly seen on both of their respective faces as they looked at each other.
Maria couldn't help, but, touch Banderas's cheek with her wing while Banderas stroked her wing with his own as the two continued to dance away by themselves out on the balcony and they are enjoying every moment of dancing together, though, they soon decided to have a drink.
Banderas and Maria drank a lot of mead as they laughed at each other's jokes while they continued to drink, during which they kept falling over, though, Banderas had managed to regain enough control of himself to get Maria back to her bed as it was now night-time for the two.
The two royals were still having a laugh as they got to Maria's bedroom where they entered and Banderas put Maria on her bed before he turned to leave the room in order to let Maria get some rest and a chance to recover from her drunken state, but, Maria quickly held his wing.
"Banderas, please, stay with me" said Maria as she looked at Banderas. "I could sure use the company".
The newly-crowned, temporary, King felt unsure about sleeping with his best friend's wife and he eventually decided to comply with Maria's request as he got into bed with Maria while pulling the covers over the both of them as they continued to look at each other.
"To be honest, Maria, you are beautiful" said Banderas as he smiled at Maria. "More beautiful than the moonlight".
"You are such a flatter, aren't you Banderas?" said Maria as she blushed madly. "But thanks for the compliment".
"Your welcome, Maria, you fully deserve it" said Banderas as he sighed. "You know, I never knew what a kiss felt like".
"Really?, well, maybe I can help you out" said Maria as she smiled at Banderas. "First, close your eyes and let me take the lead".
Banderas closed his eyes as he waited for Maria to take the lead and he became surprised when Maria's beak met his in a passionate kiss, though, Banderas began to return the kiss as he and Maria wrapped their wings around each other as the kiss deepened.
Maria wrapped her wings around Banderas's neck while the latter wrapped his wings around Maria's waist as they continued to kiss with Banderas ended up being on top of Maria for a while before Maria rolled Banderas over until she was on top of him as their kiss deepened even more.
The two lovers snuggled up to each other as they enjoyed each other's warmth and they both gave each other one more kiss on the beak before they eventually closed their eyes and began to sleep while wrapped in each other's wings as well as having no idea about that an invasion force is coming.
