Many years have passed with Banderas and Maria still as in love with each other as ever as they continued to meet, kiss and make love, in secret as they couldn't hold in the temptation of being in each other's wings again after many years of being apart from each other, though, it wasn't going to last.

Today is a crucial day as Banderas is set to attend a meeting with the nobles before he goes off to fight against Haredi's grown-up children as they are proving to be as much of a threat as their respective fathers once were back in their day, this clearly concerning Banderas as he didn't want history to repeat itself.

He had finished getting ready for the meeting with the nobles and he had given his farewells to both his wife, Jane, as well as their three children before he went to see Maria as she and Albert had come to help Jane look after the children while Banderas would be attending the meeting as it was custom for a King to address the nobles.

Banderas finally saw Maria as she was wearing a bright red dress with a flower in her head feathers as she smiled at Banderas with the latter returning the smile as he wrapped his wings around Maria's waist while the latter wrapped her wings around his neck as the two began to kiss, their first since before they didn't see each other for years.

"I heard that you're going to meet the nobles" said Maria as they broke the kiss. "Let's hope that the meeting, is successful".

"Yeah, I'm just hoping that they will listen" said Banderas as he looked at Maria. "I came to see you, before I go".

"I'm glad that you did, Banderas" said Maria as she gave Banderas a kiss on the cheek. "Now go and have a good meeting".

Banderas nodded in agreement as he kissed Maria on the cheek and beak before he made his way towards the throne room where the meeting will be taking place and he even met a soothsayer, who warned him to be aware of meeting the nobles and it was a warning that he took close to heart as he pressed on.

He entered the throne room as he began walking towards a chair that stood in the middle of the floor and he looked at the statue of Arthur with a sad expression on his face before he turned his attention back to the meeting at hand and he was acknowledged as he received a scroll that held the topics that are to be discussed in the meeting.

"What business, do we have today?" asked Banderas to one of his advisors.

"Two legal briefings, election for Sheriff" said A male Spix Macaw as he stood up to his feet. "The petitions from the nobles".

"Let's get the election out of the way" said Banderas as he went through the scroll.

"The election!" announced the male Spix Macaw as he sat back down.

For a few seconds, there was silence before a group of male Spix Macaws began to make their way to the floor and towards Banderas, which got the latter's attention as he began to wonder what was going on as he had called for the election and it wasn't long until he finally found out there reason to interrupt him.

Suddenly, one of the male Spix Macaws pulled a dagger, that was hidden underneath his noble clothing, as he stabbed Banderas in the stomach much to the latter's horror as he quickly realised that he was in a trap that had been set by the conspirators as he tried to fight back by punching the same male Spix Macaw that had stabbed him.

Unfortunely for Banderas, he was soon surrounded by the whole group as they encircled him while stabbing him with their daggers in their attempts to kill him as they clearly saw him as a tyrant that needs to be brought down, though, they ended up attacking each other in the process of stabbing Banderas.

The other nobles were horrified as some tried to help Banderas, only, to be stabbed in the process while the other nobles quickly fled the throne room as they spread the word of what was happening with the news reaching the people, who began to scream and run for their lives to try to get to safety for themselves as well as their children.

Banderas had just managed to fend off another conspirator when he saw his older brother, Charles, much to his horror after seeing the dagger that Charles is holding in his wings as the latter moved quickly towards Banderas before stabbing him straight in the stomach as the two brothers stood for a certain number of moments as the truth settled in.

"Charles" said Banderas as he looked at his older brother. "Why?, what have I done to deserve this?".

"Maria" said Charles as he forcefully pulled out the dagger. "That is why, you deserve to die, brother".

After Charles had pulled the dagger out of his stomach, Banderas dropped onto his knees as he held onto his brother while taking a glance at his brother, who forced Banderas to release his grip before leaving Banderas to die on the floor of the throne room as the latter cried out in pain.

He laid down on his back as he looked up at the statue of Arthur, the royal messenger who had been murdered by an assassin that'd been sent to kill Albert which had resulted in Arthur saving Albert's life, knowing that he is going to see Arthur in heaven as he knew that he won't survive the stab wounds.

The news of the assassination had spread quickly with Maria running the fastest to be at Banderas's side when he takes his final breath and she found him laying down on the floor in the throne room as he looked at her with a smile, before the two shared one more kiss as he took his last breath and died.

After Banderas had taken his last breath and died, Maria saw Jane entering the throne room as she shook her head at her in order to silently tell her that Banderas is dead much to Jane's horror as she and Maria comforted each other before attending Banderas's funeral as they mourned his death.
