Elise curled into a ball and started to sob. She sobbed into her little ball to muffle the noise.

"Make him go away," Elise mumbled to herself, her memories flooding. She rocked herself, her sniffles cutting off.

"Sweetheart, I've arrived," he called out in the quiet house.

His lips were chapped from the cold winter air outside. He rubbed his leather gloved hands together and blew his hot breath into the little cup he made. He shivered a bit then began shedding his coat off, along with his hat, gloves, and leather shoes. "Are you home, love?"

He stalked down towards the kitchen, his cotton covered feet muffling his footsteps.

"Elise?"

He could hear a thump upstairs. His head looked up, and his ears perked like a dog. He started towards the staircase, its winding spine making its way up to darkness.

"Elise?" his voice calls out again.

"NO! STOP!" Elise yells. Then another thump. A crash.

His heart spikes in speed and his eyes flash. Immediately he runs to the bedroom, his feet almost slipping from the floors.

"Elise!" he shouts as he body checks the door. The lock breaks and he ends up falling to the ground. He gets up swiftly and looks at the two. His eyes widen.

A man, one who he doesn't know, is holding a naked Elise on the bed. He looks up at him and lets go.

"Bonjour," the gruff man says with a disgusting smile.

"Who are you?"

"Please, make him go away..." Elise whines as she swallows her tears.

"Answer my question, god dammit, before I kill you!"

The man tilts his head and chucks Elise's head into the headboard. She hisses as she curls up into a ball. The man gets up to his full size and looks down at him.

"Kill me, I dare you."

He hesitates before he reaches down to his pockets. The man's eyes look sharply to his moving arm. He pulls out a gun.

"Do it," he says boldly.

The gruff man laughs, and he takes a chance to pull out his butterfly knife from his back pocket. He flips it open and pierces it through the large man's stomach. He drops to the floor, his mouth gurgling.

He closes his knife, looks at Elise, and joins her on the bed.

"What was that man doing in this house?" he asks Elise as he rocks her in his arms.

"He said he had a letter for me..."

"Fuck, Elise, why are you so naïve? You could've been killed!" he spits out. He gets up in a rage and then rakes his hands through his black hair. "I can't trust you to be alone."

Elise looks down guiltily, then looks at the bleeding out man. Her stomach starts to turn, but she holds it in.

"Make him go away..."

"No," Elise inhales sharply. "No. No, fuck no."

Elise's breathing gets deeper as she clenches her teeth.

"No way in hell. Stop it right now. Those memories need to be chucked out. If I can't hold myself together, I'm going to get killed..."

Elise gets up slowly, her legs shaking under her. She flexes her arms to help herself up. Once fully on her feet, Elise grabs her clothes and heads out to the training room. As she turns around after locking her door, she bumps into Spy.

"Oh, jeez!" Elise cries out. "What's your problem Spy?"

"Are you alright?" Spy asks with his hands behind his back. He's now in a new blazer, one that isn't already bloodied and ripped from Elise.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Elise says with attitude. She breaks their eye contact and turns her head. After several seconds, she takes a step away from Spy, heading to her right.

She can hear Spy's leather shoes clicking behind her. "I heard you screaming in your room."

"Yeah, so?"

"I wanted to know if you were alright."

"I'm fine, as you can see."

Spy narrows his eyes and looks ahead of Elise, a smile creeping onto his face. "Training, I assume?"

"No."

"There's no other rooms in this area," Spy states.

Elise shakes her head and rolls her eyes. She speeds up, but with Spy's long and slender legs, he catches up easily. He continues to stare down at Elise, his smiling fading as he gets into character. Elise stops, leaving Spy to gain a couple of steps. He stops suddenly then turns to look at Elise.

"Okay, what? What Spy? What the hell do you want to know?!"

"What happened?"

Elise doesn't answer. Her breaths start to get shaky.

"Nothing."

Spy bends down to look at her face.

"No, not nothing. Did Medic do something?" Spy asks suddenly.

Elise growls and punches Spy in the stomach. He grunts but regains his strength, catching up to her when she takes off.

"I'm sorry. You can trust me," Spy suggests.

Elise stops and turns around once again. She glares at him with fire burning in her eyes, her hands forming fists. "No way in fucking hell," she hisses. "Why would I ever trust a Spy?"

Spy's heart skips a beat, and he's so tempted to smile widely. He's so proud of his product. He pushed Elise too far, now she's angry. She's self conscious, and she's too afraid to trust anyone. He's so close to converting Elise into a real Spy.

"It was something that Medic said," Spy 'guesses.'

Elise breathes hot air through her nose. "Yes," she admits. It feels as if steam is blowing out of her ears, she feels hot and her head is starting to boil.

Spy cracks a small smile, but masks it quickly. "I'm sorry. He just hasn't been well with his wife. He told me that he just wanted you for a release. He needed something to put all his anger out..." Spy lies smoothly.

Elise's eyes go wide.

Betrayal, broken, untrustworthy, and rage. Pure rage. All those words were spiraling in Elise's mind. Medic, someone who she thought she could trust, broke everything. She thought he was sweet, she was wrong. She thought he was trustworthy, she was wrong. She thought he was going to protect her, she was dead wrong.

"Of course... I shouldn't have gotten so attached so quickly."

"Good. Hide those emotions. You won't need them," Spy walks ahead, heading for the training room.

Elise stands still, she doesn't move a muscle.

"Are you coming?" Spy asks down the hall.

Silence.

"Yes."

Hey guys! What's up? Chicken butt! Hahahahaha! Okay, serious now!

Sorry for not updating in a while. It's almost time for final exams, and I've been slugging around. So, this story won't be updated until the summer. Maybe, if I get the chance, I'll update in between study sessions.

Once again, I'm sorry to leave you guys hanging. But all in all, thanks for sticking around.

Thanks for reading! :)
