Ray Tanaka: Sorry that this took so long to get up. I didn't mean to put it off for this long.
The Zande Warrior
(A tribal fighter from Africa with a wicked-tipped spear and a Wicker shield is shown stabbing his spear into an unknown enemy.)
The tribal fighters who fought for scarce resources and who used metal weapons to kill any potential rival tribes.
(A Zande warrior slashes a rival tribal warrior with his Kpinga, before turning around and throwing the weapon at another rival tribal warrior.)
The Ninja
(A man in a black ninja costume is seen silently looking at the viewer with a katana-like sword in his hands.)
Lower class citizens who fought against the Samurai using deceiving weapons and trickery to give themselves an edge.
(A Ninja jumps out of the shadow of a tree at a surprised Samurai before throwing crushed glass at his opponent and stabs his Wakizashi into the Samurai's neck.)
WHO IS DEADLIEST?
To find out, our world class fighters are testing history's most lethal weapons. Using twenty-first century science, we'll see what happens when the two warriors go toe to toe.
No rules, no safety, no mercy: It's a duel to the death to decide who is…
The Deadliest Warrior
In the Fight Club, outside Los Angles, California, four men are practicing with weapons that are worlds apart for the upcoming battle. Two black men practice a fighting style with some wicked weapons, while two Asian men are using unusual weapons for their fighting style.
Welcome to the Fight Club. Here we have gathered scientists, doctors, and weapons experts, all to discover who would win if two unarmored warriors met in battle.
The Zande warrior: The tribal fighter of Africa who fought rival tribal warriors for resources and used psychological warfare against their enemies.
Vs….
The Ninja: The silent assassin of feudal Japan who fought the high class Samurai by using unfair tactics.
Zande Warrior:
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 170 lbs.
Armor: Wicker Shield
Origin: Ethiopia (Modern Sudan and Congo)
Ninja
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 135 lbs.
Armor: None
Origin: Japan
A man with brown hair wearing a green jacket over a white shirt with brown pants and a lightsaber on his belt is calibrating some equipment for the upcoming tests.
Lead biomedical scientist and Jedi Knight, Marcus Jennir, will use scientific equipment to measure the killing power of the weapons.
"This match is really interesting," Marcus explains, "We have a tribal fighter from Africa who was never conquered, and an assassin who fought against fully armored opponents."
A woman with brown hair in a doctor's surgical uniform and a lab coat checks on some ballistic gel dummies with wounds inflicted on them.
Forensic scientist and surgeon, Hope Woods, will provide crucial insight to the injuries that the weapons produce.
"It's one thing for a weapon to kill someone," Hope states, "But it's a different thing to know how much killing power a weapon can produce."
A man with cybernetic gear on the left side of his face, with a red light acting as his left eye and a trench coat covering his body, is typing on a computer imputing some data into a software program.
Former Cybernetic Police Enforcer and computer whiz, Dexter "Hacker" Reed, will impute the weapon's data into a simulation program developed by Slytherine Studios to determine a winner.
"These two warriors have no real body armor," Dexter tells the audience, "Which will make this episode very interesting."
The simulation will run a thousand battles between the Zande warrior and the Ninja. The winner will be the Deadliest Warrior.
A black man in a grey shirt and khaki shorts thrusts a strange spear into a tackle dummy, apparently tearing the practice dummy to shreds.
David Yodar, an expert with the weapons of the tribal fighter, will lead the charge into battle.
"Zande warriors are the best fighters on the African plains," David comments, "We fought for the resources."
Another black man, who has a blue shirt and khaki pants, practices shooting a bow into wooden targets with impeccable accuracy.
Jaylen Montano, an expert on African tribal weapons, will bring all the determination of his ancestors.
"We Zande use our weapons in order to take what we needed, "Jaylen states with anger, "If you got in our way, we will spear you down."
In what is now the modern Sudan and Congo, the Zande warriors went into battle with other tribes in order to secure scarce resources of the African plains. Although never conquered by imperial powers, they killed off gun touting slave traders with their savage blades and poisoned arrows. They even went as far as filling their teeth to make their enemies call them "Niam-niam", or great eaters.
"So imagine that sound coming down the war path," Jaylen states, "Niam-niam. Niam-niam. Niam-niam. Fierce."
Our Zande experts are confident that they can scare any opponent. But their latest enemy has a mythology of their own.
An Asian man takes some target practice with some small throwing weapons at a wooden target.
Lucas Lansang, an expert on the weapons of the Ninja, will lead the shadow assassins into battle.
"The Ninja weren't warriors in the beginning," Lucas says, "They were peasants, the lowest of the low in the feudal class ladder."
Another Asian man checks out various weapons that the Ninja's might have used and picks out several weapons from the rack.
Connor Paqdonsolan, a martial artist and weapons expert, will provide backup for the Ninja team.
"The Ninja's won't win against the higher Samurai," Connor explains, "So when the Ninja's had to fight, they just didn't fight fair."
The Ninja's used special weapons and the shadows in order to fight against the more superior Samurai. When the Ninja's fought the Samurai, they would use weapons that caused myths about them to spring up. One of the most enduring is the fact that the Ninja is able to vanish in a cloud of dust.
"The Ninja's were able to vanish in a cloud of dust thanks to this," Connor states, while holding a black egg, "The Black Egg."
The Black Egg: Filled with glass dust or hot pepper juice that was used to blind any enemy even with armor.
Black Egg
Length: 3 inches
Weight: Less than an ounce
Substance: An egg filled with crushed glass or pepper
"Think that the Zande Warriors are tough stuff," Lucas states to the experts, "Then let me show you our secret weapon: the Black Egg."
"Dude, it's just an egg," Marcus tells the ninja expert while holding the black-colored egg.
"Ah, but it's filled with crushed glass to blind opponents," Conner retorts.
"Okay, so we have a blinding weapon," Hope comments with some glee, "If delivered right, than you have an effective weapon."
To test the Black Egg, a football tackle dummy with painted black eyes is set up with a knight's helmet to see if the contents will get through the helmet's defensives.
Conner is holding a Black Egg in his right hand, as the others experts get ready to see the results of the weapon.
"Alright Conner," Dexter tells the expert, "Whenever you're ready, throw the weapon."
Conner takes his left hand and claps his hands together, before throwing the crushed glass at the tackle dummy. The glass hits the helmet, with some of the glass getting into the view ports.
"Let's get this off," Marcus says, taking off the helmet, before saying, "Okay, so we have a blinded man here."
"That's it?" Jaylen asks as he stands with the Makrigga. "That is not a weapon. This is a weapon!"
The Makrigga Spear: A wicked weapon that can piece through people and pulls out their innards.
Makrigga
Size: 84 inches
Weight: 3.5 lbs.
Substance: Wood, hide, and iron
"Presenting the Zande warrior's traditional weapon," Jaylen says, "The Makrigga."
"Why is the spear tip like that?" Marcus asks the expert.
"To better take out innards," David inputs.
"We have some beef that you can test that weapon on," Hope tells the experts, leading them to a new test.
To test the killing power of the Makrigga, a side of beef has been suspended from the ceiling with intestines lining one side of the beef.
Jaylen is holding the Makrigga, as David hypes him up for the test by having his fellow expert say "Niam-niam" over and over.
"Okay, looks like you're ready," Marcus remarks as David joins the other experts as Jaylen keeps chanting the phrase.
"On three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"
Continuing the chanting, Jaylen thrusts the spear through the side of beef and the jagged tip hooks some of the intestines. When the Makrigga is forcefully removed from the beef with some difficulty, the tip pulls some of the intestines from the other side. As a few inches of intestine hangs out from the opening, Jaylen runs in and rips the few inches out from the opening. As the expert steps back, he says the chant one last time.
"Damn," Dexter says in surprise, "That is something I never thought I would see."
"If that thrust was done to a human," Hope says as she examines the results, "The person would possibly be in shock. Also, the jagged tip has shown that it will harvest the organs out."
Despite the results, the experts of the shadow assassin aren't impressed.
"Yeah, the spear can kill someone," Lucas chimes in, "But what use is that weapon when you are blinded and we run around you."
"It isn't that we have to catch up with you," David retorts, "We just have to tire you out and stay on top of you."
"We'll see if you can keep up then," Connor remarks.
Both sides are convinced that their warriors are able to take the other out, but which weapon gets the edge?
"The Black Egg is a distraction weapon, not a killing weapon," Marcus tells the audience, "It sets an opponent for a kill, but it doesn't kill. For me, the edge goes to the Makrigga."
For medium range, the Zande Warrior gets the edge with the Makrigga.
The experts ready for more testing as they get ready to answer which of two unarmored warriors would win in a battle to the death. But as further tests are prepared, there is one element of each warrior that can't be factored into the fight.
An X factor, and for the ninja, their X factor is the need to fight dirty against their better armored opponents.
"Ninja's couldn't win against the samurai in normal combat," Lucas states as he sharpens a short sword, "So when the ninja's had to fight, they used weapons that would give them the advantage."
For the Zande Warrior, their X factor is the need to fight over the scarce resources of their home land.
"In Africa, the needs of a tribe have to be fought over against other tribes," Jaylen says as he holds a Makrigga in his hands, "So the Zande had to take out any tribe that was going after their resources."
One of the Zande's tactics to ensure their resources is to use a special weapon that could deliver death from a distance.
David aims a Botto Bow at a wooden target before firing a Pima Arrow at the target, scoring a bull's-eye.
The Botto Bow and Pima Arrow: a bow and arrow combination with a deadly addition to ensure a death strike.
Botto and Pima
Bow Length: 48 inches
Arrow Length: 24 inches
Weight: 14 oz.
Substance: Wood, fiber, iron, and poison
"Well, we finally have a bow and arrow on the show," Marcus excitedly tells Hope and Dexter as David shows them the Botto bow and Pima arrow.
"These arrows aren't just any arrows," David remarks, "These arrows are tipped with a poison similar to modern rat poison."
"That will give the Zande Warrior a slight edge," Hope says upon hearing the news, "And we can test the weapon with this ballistics gel."
A ballistics gel torso with synthetic blood and organs is positioned in the indoor firing range to measure the depth of the arrow's penetration.
David chants "Niam-niam" and prepares to fire off an arrow at the target.
"Okay," Marcus says armed with a speed gun, "You may fire when ready."
David lifts the Botto bow up and fires the arrow into the ballistics gel torso's stomach.
"142 miles," Marcus calls out.
David quickly knocks another arrow onto the string and fires off said arrow. This projectile penetrates the ballistics gel next to the first arrow.
"144 miles," Marcus calls out.
Knocking a third arrow onto the string, David quickly fires projectile and scores a hit on the ballistics gel torso's right shoulder.
"142 miles," Marcus calls out.
Another Pima arrow is knocked onto the bow string and David takes aim with the Botto Bow. Firing the arrow from the bow, the projectile impales into the ballistics gel under the first two arrows.
"143 miles," Marcus calls out.
David knocks one last Pima arrow onto the bow string and lifts the bow into firing position. Firing the arrow, the projectile makes a beeline to the torso's left side of the chest.
"141 miles," Marcus calls out as the experts move in to investigate the injuries.
"Okay, so the last one made it into the ribs," Hope tells the experts as she pulls out said arrow. "Looks like it only went in about 2 inches. It's not enough to kill someone on their own, but enough penetration to deliver the poison into the blood stream."
"So it looks like the poison helps after all," Dexter remarks, "And the ninja's outfit won't help them avoid getting hit by the arrows."
The Ninja's aren't worried about their opponent's lethal bow & arrow. They have their own means of delivering death with their special weapon.
Connor is wielding the Kusarigama in his hands and is twirling the chain end of the weapon around before striking a punching bag.
The Kusarigama: one of the most deceiving weapons of the ninja's arsenal, it can kill even from afar.
Kusarigama
Size: 14 feet
Weight: 4 lbs.
Substance: Steel blade, ball and chain
"I want you three to have a look at this," Connor tells the experts while holding the weapon, "The Kusarigama, one of the most deceiving weapons in the Ninja's arsenal."
"Talk about overkill," Marcus snickers.
"Yah, you laugh now," Lucas remarks, "Just wait until we show you what this weapon can do."
To test the Kusarigama, both the sickle and the chained ball have to be tested individually. First, the sickle part of the weapon is to be tested.
Connor is standing next to a ballistics gel torso with the sickle end of the weapon in his right hand at the ready.
"Connor, are you ready?"
"Yes," Connor replies quickly.
"On three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"
Pulling his arm back, Connor swings his right arm and impales the blade of the Kusarigama into the ballistic gel torso a good depth for a kill.
"Okay," Hope says as she examines the wound, "It looks like the blade went in about seven inches."
"Not the Makrigga," Marcus remarks, "But it works for the Ninja."
With the sickle of the Kusarigama tested, it's now time to see the potential of the chained ball of the weapon.
"To test the chained end of the Kusarigama," Marcus tells the viewer, "We have this crash-test dummy with an accelerometer in the head. Any flexing from the head will be recorded by the accelerometer instantly."
Connor stands two feet away from the crash-test dummy with the sickle end in his left hand and the chain in his right hand.
"Connor, are you ready?"
"Yah," Connor quickly says.
"On three," Dexter counts down, "Two, one, go!"
Connor starts to swing the chained end over his head for a few seconds before bringing his arm closer to the dummy and smacks the chain into the dummy's head.
"Okay," Dexter states as the experts look at the results of the test on the computer, "Upon impact, the Kusarigama delivered enough force to twist the neck far enough to its breaking point."
"I'll be damned," Marcus claims, "This weapon does have some potential."
With the Kusarigama testing over, which warrior gets the edge in this weapons category?
"I've got to give the edge to the Botto and Pima," Hope tells Dexter and Marcus, "The bow has a longer range and it carries a poison with it."
"I don't know," Marcus replies, "The Kusarigama seems like a more usable weapon on the battlefield."
"I have to go with the data," Dexter states his opinion, "My edge is going for the Kusarigama."
In a two-to-one vote, the Ninja gets the edge in Special Weapons with the Kusarigama. However, even with these results, both warriors have supporters from the lead experts.
"To me, Ninjas are overrated and have been played out," Marcus says, "So I'm putting my money on the fresh and new Zande Warrior."
"Ninjas are awesome," Dexter states, "So I put my vote on the silent assassins."
Coming up, the Ninja's strike with a one-two punch at a distance, and the Zande Warrior counter with a knife that they claim can cut a man's head off. Who would come out as the Deadliest Warrior?
At the halfway point of the testing, the stakes rise for the battle between the Zande Warrior and the Ninja. Both sides have one edge each, so the second half of weapons testing may determine the results of the battle.
"We Zande are always ready to show our enemies we mean business," Jaylen states as he holds a wicked throwing knife, "And the Kpinga is certainly one way to show that."
The Kpinga throwing knife: A wicked weapon that can quickly slash through opponents.
Kpinga
Size: 21 inches
Weight: 3.5 lbs.
Substance: Iron
"What do we have here?" Marcus asks as Jaylen as the man approaches the experts with the weapon in his hands.
"This is the Kpinga, our long range weapon," Jaylen explains, "We Zande can use it in close and then throw it at our foes."
"What's with the 'thing' on it?" Dexter asks pointing to a particular part of the weapon.
"It's a sign of masculinity," David answers, as Dexter nods about it.
To test the Kpinga, three ballistics foam torsos have been set up to see if the Zande throwing knife can prove its deadliness.
Jaylen starts to chant "Niam-niam" over and over, as he holds two Kpinga knifes in his hands, as the experts look on.
"Looks like their ready," Hope comments, before the countdown.
"Okay, on three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"
Jaylen throws one of the throwing knifes horizontally at the ballistics foam torsos and the knife strikes two of the torsos, with the handle penetrating the chest of one of the torsos. Acting quickly, Jaylen throws the other Kpinga overhand at the last target and lands a kill strike.
"Damn," Dexter states, "I can't believe that you hit all three targets."
"Your first two targets have been slain," Hope says as she explains the wounds, "The handle does amount to a kill on the target, and your last throwing knife hit the target in the head."
"It's going to hard to top that," Marcus inputs.
While the others are impressed by the Kpinga knife, the Ninjas aren't convinced by the weapon.
"Only one problem with this weapon," Connor states, "The size of this weapon makes it able to be seen, so we can dodge this weapon before it hits us."
"In that case," Jaylen retorts, "It's a good thing this can also be used at close range."
"At least we have two different weapons for long range," Lucas says, before showing Shuriken in his hands.
The Shuriken: A throwing weapon that can cut through opponents at any range.
Shuriken
Length: 4.25 inches
Weight: 5.29 oz.
Substance: Steel
"So these are the throwing stars," Marcus says as he looks over the metal stars.
"That's right," Lucas says, before holding up a bamboo tube, "But if they don't work, we still have the Blowgun."
The Blowgun: A weapon that can shoot a poison dart with just a single breath.
Blowgun
Length: 20 inches
Weight: 12 oz.
Projectile: Poison Dart
Substance: Bamboo Tube
To test the Ninja weapons, Lucas will take aim at two ballistics gel torsos with synthetic blood and organs. First up is the Blowgun.
Lucas has the Blowgun in his right hand as he loads a dart in the tube before putting the weapon to his lips and aims at the ballistic torso on the left.
"Whenever you're ready," Marcus tells Lucas.
Not wasting a second, Lucas blows into the pipe and sends the dart into neck of the first target. Placing another dart into the Blowgun, he again aims it before letting out a breath that sends the second dart into the chest of the first target
Now, the Shurikens step up to the plate.
Lucas, now having four Shurikens in his hands, throws the first metal star into the left side of the second target. The second Shuriken flies through the air into the right side of the second target's chest. Taking the third throwing star into his hand, Lucas throws it and manages to land a star into the target's neck. The final Shuriken is thrown before striking the target in the right eye.
"Okay, so placed your darts very well," Hope says as she analyzes the wounds, "Both of these areas will get the poison into the blood system."
"Good job," Dexter tells Lucas who does a small bow.
"Your second target is in a pretty nasty situation," Hope continues as she looks at the second target, "These two body shots can hamper your opponent and the shot to the neck would result in a kill. The final star, well, took out the eye."
As impressive as the results are, the experts of the tribal fighter are not fazed.
"You forget that we have a shield," David tells the experts while holding a wicker shield, "I want to see if they can get past this shield."
To test the wicker shield, a ballistics foam torso has been set up with the shield in front of it. Lucas will have two blow darts and two Shurikens to get past the shield.
Lucas stands ten feet from the shield as he loads a dart into the Blowgun.
"Lucas, whenever you're ready," Marcus tells him.
Without wasting time, Lucas aims the Blowgun and lets out a breath into the pipe. The dart hits the shield, but gets stuck before it can go further. Lucas quickly loads another dart into the Blowgun and blows into it only to get the same result. Placing the Blowgun on the ground, he takes the two Shurikens into his hands and throws the first one. The throwing star flies through the air before going through the shield and into the target's chest. Lucas throws the second star and gets the same result, but this time strikes the target in its stomach.
"Well, the Blowgun didn't do so well this time," Dexter says as the experts walk to the target and he pulls one of the darts out.
"I'm afraid you're right," Hope says as she looks at the target, "The darts didn't get past the shield while the Shurikens did."
"That means that one of your weapons can't harm us," David says with a smile, "We can stop you from killing us."
"You forget that we'll be moving," Connor counters, "So we'll find a way around your shield and score hits."
With both sides having tested their weapons, which one will give its user the edge?
"The Ninja may be bringing in two weapons," Dexter explains to the audience, "But the Kpinga could take out two opponents at once and still be used as a close range weapon."
For long range, the Zande Warrior gets the edge with the Kpinga throwing knife.
At the Fight Club, we're almost ready to see if a Zande Warrior or a Ninja would emerge the victor of the battle.
Our Ninja experts are still confident in this battle with their close range weapon.
"The Ninja have gone up against far superior foes," Lucas smirkingly says as he pulls out a Wakizashi, "And this was our weapon of choice against sword wielders."
The Wakizashi: A short sword that was the companion sword to the more famous Katana.
Wakizashi
Blade Length: 24 inches
Length: 35 inches
Weight: 2.1 lbs.
Substance: Steel
"This is the Wakizashi," Lucas says to the experts as he shows off the sword, "Both the Ninja and the Samurai used this sword in battle."
"So, this is essentially a smaller Katana?" Dexter asks as he's given the weapon by Lucas.
"Not always," Connor answers, "The term was used to describe the companion sword used by the Samurai."
"I think we have the perfect test for you guys," Marcus says as he guides them to the testing area with a pig hanging up.
To test the power of the Wakizashi, Lucas will be taking will be going up against a pig carcass.
"Lucas, are you ready?"
"Yes," Lucas replies as he grabs the Wakizashi while it's still in its scabbard.
"Okay, on three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"
Pulling the Wakizashi from its scabbard, Lucas uses the draw to slash the pig carcass and causes the target to have a diagonal cut. Using the momentum to power his next strike, he performs a horizontal slash that cuts the pig in half with the bottom half falling to the ground. Deciding to finish up, Lucas performs a thrust that goes through the pig above where it was cut in half.
"Done!"
"Okay, so I don't think we have much to discuss," Hope says with a chuckle, "You cut this guy in half. He won't survive for long after that."
"Even if he wasn't cut in half, I doubt he would be alive," Marcus adds, "Your first slash and your thrust were able to deliver kills on their own."
"I don't think your shield would help you much here!" Connor yells with a smirk to the Zande experts.
The Wakizashi has proven its destructive capabilities on a person. However, the Zande have a weapon they believe can counter the sword.
"So their sword can cut through a person," David says like holding the Makraka, "But this blade we use to cut off people's heads."
The Makraka curved knife: A knife similar to a sickle used for both wars and ceremonial executions.
Makraka
Blade Length: 18 inches
Length: 24 inches
Weight: 2.5 lbs.
Substance: Iron, wood, and hide
"This is the Makraka," David tells the experts while showing them the weapon, "This weapon is the Zande's choice of weapon for both battle and execution."
"How exactly would this type of execution work?" Marcus asks, almost curious on the topic.
"When we do these executions, the victim would have their head tied to a tree," Jaylen explains, "Then, using the inside of the blade, the Zande would cut their heads off and it'll go flying."
"Well, how about we test that?" Hope inquires.
"Thought you would never ask," David says with a bit of glee.
To test this style of execution, a ballistics gel torso has been set up in a similar manner with the head tied to a stand by a noose.
David starts to chant "Niam-niam" over and over again as he stand behind the gel torso with the Makraka at the ready.
"He's ready," Hope tells her experts before the countdown.
"Alright, on three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"
Taking a swing with the curved knife, David cuts through the neck and the head moves up as the rope seems to recoil from the separation. The ballistics gel torso starts to spray blood out from the wound as if it was a fountain.
"That was impressive," Dexter says as the experts walk up to the gel torso.
"Okay, I don't think I'm needed here," Hope says as she touches the wound with medical gloves on, "This would result in an immediate death and-"
At that moment, David comes in and seems to use the blood spraying out as if a drinking fountain. With a bit splashing onto the sleeve of her lab coat, Hope takes a step back to avoid more blood being sent her way.
"Hey, don't send that stuff my way," Hopes says with a smile as the other experts hold back a laugh.
Both blades have shown that they are deadly, but which one gets the edge?
"The Makraka was impressive and both can take off limbs," Dexter says as he looks at the camera, "But the Wakizashi simply blows it out of the water."
For close range, the Ninja gets the edge with the Wakizashi.
With our testing completed, and the gathered data in the computer program, it's time to answer the question at hand.
Coming up, the final showdown begins. The Zande Warrior or the Ninja: Who will emerge as the Deadliest Warrior?
The final battle is about to begin; it's time to find out who would win in a death match between a Zande Warrior and a Ninja.
We tested four of the Zande's traditional weapons: The Makraka curved knife, the Makrigga spear, the Botto bow and Pima arrow, and the Kpinga throwing knife.
For the Ninja, we have tested five weapons from their arsenal: The Wakizashi, the Black Egg, the Kusarigama, the Blowgun, and the Shuriken.
For close range, the Zande's Makraka clashed with the Ninja's Wakizashi.
"Both of these blades share a similar sharpness," Hope states, "However, the Wakizashi just has a bit more reach and performs more devastating results."
Edge: Ninja
For medium range, the Ninja's Black Egg faced off with the Zande's Makrigga.
"This is no contest," Dexter explains, "The Black Egg is a distraction tool while the Makrigga can actually kill."
Edge: Zande Warrior
For special weapons, the Zande's Botto and Pima went up against the Ninja's Kusarigama.
"Despite having a range to it," Marcus tells the camera, "The Botto bow doesn't hold a candle to the Kusarigama."
Edge: Ninja
Finally, the Ninja's Blowgun and Shuriken clashed with the Kpinga.
"While the Ninja's bringing in two weapons," Dexter says, "They're simply outclassed by the Kpinga and the use of the wicker shield."
Edge: Zande Warrior
Dexter will now load all the weapons data into a computer program that will simulation a battle between a Zande Warrior and a Ninja.
It's a battle of opposites:
Tribal warfare...
(A Zande Warrior knocks down another tribal fighter before impaling them with the Makrigga spear.)
Vs. Silent assassination
(A Ninja uses his Blowgun to strike a Samurai in the neck before appearing in front of another Samurai to strike him down.)
Need for resources...
(A Zande Warrior slashes the neck of a warrior from a rival tribe with a Kpinga before throwing the weapon into another rival warrior.)
Vs. Trick Tactics
(A Ninja throws a Black Egg into a Samurai's face and blinds him before throwing a Shuriken into his neck.)
"Okay, all the data has been entered," Dexter states, "It's time to run the simulation and see who us the deadliest warrior."
Typing on the keyboard again, Dexter starts the simulation.
-Fight-Start-
In the shrub lands of the African plains, a Ninja wearing tall grass over his black suit is hiding in the tall grass as he silently waits for a Japanese slave trader. As he waits, a Zande warrior is monitoring his surrounding from a rock formation. Suddenly, the Zande sees a slave trader walking towards his position and he makes his way down the rock formation to the ground below.
The ninja readies his Blowgun as he remains hidden in the tall grass and takes aim at the slave trader. However, an arrow hits the slave trader as the Zande Warrior appears wielding his Botto Bow and knocking a second Pima arrow to the string. Seeing the slave trader aiming a matchlock at the other warrior, the Ninja launches a poison dart into the slave trader's neck.
Seeing the trader grab his neck and dropping his musket, the African warrior aims his bow where the dart came from and fires off the arrow. The silent assassin jumps from his cover as the arrow hits the ground and he aims his Blowgun.
Dropping to the ground and grabbing his Wicker shield, the Zande Warrior raises it before the Ninja launches the dart. Said dart penetrates the front of the shield, but fails to go through it.
The tribal fighter gets to his feet with his Makrigga in his hand as the silent assassin throws his Blowgun away and takes out two shurikens. Throwing them, one of the stars goes through the shield and misses the wielder while the other one impales itself into the Zande warrior's left leg.
Crying out and taking a step back, the African warrior drops his Makrigga before pulling out a Kpinga and throws it. The projectile slashes the Ninja's right leg, causing him to fall to the ground and cry out in pain.
The Zande warrior tries to run over to him, but the silent assassin throws a white cloud of what appears to be dirt at him. The tribal fighter takes a step back as some of the crush glass lands on his feet and shins before pulling out his Makraka.
Looking back at the silent assassin, he sees him on his feet wielding the Kusarigama before a small black object barely missing the Zande warrior's head. Taking yet another step back, he sees the Ninja swinging the chain end in his left hand.
The silent assassin quickly swings the chain end of the weapon towards the African warrior who strikes at it with his Makraka. However, this causes the chain to wrap itself around the knife and the Zande warrior pulls his weapon back.
After a couple of seconds and seeing his foe starting to pull him forward, the Ninja uses the Kama part of the weapon to cut the chain and causing both to take a step back. Getting the chain off his knife, the tribal fighter charges forward and attempts a strike with his Makraka.
Fortunately for the silent assassin, he parries with the Kama and goes for his own strike that his foe ducks under. Seeing his right leg still injured, the Zande warrior uses his knife to cut the Ninja's left thigh and causes him to step back in pain.
Before the African warrior can perform another strike, the silent assassin pulls out his Wakizashi and slashes his foe's chest. Taking advantage of this, the Ninja strikes the Makraka with his Kama and knocks it out of his foe's hand. Stepping back and seeing his foe going for another slash, the Zande warrior holds his shield up only for it the top half of the shield to be cut off.
Seeing that his only defense is now destroyed, the tribal fighter throws what remains of it at the Ninja before running back to his Makrigga spear. The silent assassin limps his way after as he grunts from the pain in his legs and simply drops the Kama to better use his sword.
Reaching the Makrigga, the Zande warrior picks it up and thrusts it at his foe only for them to dodge to the left. The Ninja slashes the African warrior's left arm as he tries to back up to avoid the attack before said warrior thrusts his spear into the wound on his left leg.
Grunting in pain, the silent assassin tries to do another strike when the Zande warrior twists his spear. Crying out as the spear is twisted and then pulled out of his leg, the Ninja falls onto his back and tries to grab some more shurikens.
Stepping on his foe's arm, the tribal fighter thrusts his Makrigga into the silent assassin and twisting it as said assassin stops moving. Pulling the spear out with some difficulty, the spear tip pulls some of the assassin's entrails with it as it leaves his body.
Raising his Makrigga spear in the air as the Ninja dies from the wound, the Zande warrior cries out, "Niam-niam!"
-Fight-End-
"According to the simulation, the Zande Warrior won over fifty-five percent of the time," Dexter says as he talks about the results, "This is due to the Wicker Shield, despite being relatively useless, and the Zande dominating the simulation at medium and long range."
The Zande Warrior was able to claim victory with 586 kills, with the Makrigga Spear and the Botto & Pima being the best weapons.

"The Ninja's arsenal is best used when they have surprise" Marcus explains his opinion, "If they don't have that surprise, then their weapons won't be utilized to the fullest."
"The Zande's weapons were made for killing enemies," Hope says as she states her opinion, "So it makes sense that the Zande Warrior won against the Ninja."
"The simulation got it wrong," Lucas states, "Besides, the Ninja would just run and kill the Zande Warrior during the night."
"Sorry Ninjas," Jaylen apologizes, "Maybe next time. Niam-niam."
(The Zande Warrior raises his Makrigga over his head as he arrives back to his tribe with the Wakizashi to present as his new trophy.)
Apologies to all Ninja fans everywhere.
