Alexander the Great

(A man wearing red fabric with a bronze plate on his upper chest and scales around his waist along with a bronze helmet swings a curved sword at the viewer.)

The Macedonian warrior king who created one of the largest empires of the ancient world.

(Alexander the Great charges forward on horseback with a Xyston in hand before running a Persian Immortal through the chest.)

William Wallace

(A man with brown hair and beard wearing a red warrior tunic with a white heraldry lion stands in front of a black background with a large sword in his hands.)

The Scottish knight who battled against the Kingdom of England during the Wars of Scottish Independence.

(William Wallace charges towards an English knight before blocking with his Heater Shield and impaling him with his Claymore.)

WHO IS DEADLIEST?

To find out, our world class fighters are testing history's most lethal weapons. Using twenty-first century science, we'll see what happens when the two warriors go toe-to-toe.

No rules, No safety, No mercy: It's a duel to the death to decide who is...

The Deadliest Warrior

In the Fight Club outside Los Angeles, four men are wielding weapons from two different time periods as they practice with them. Two men are wielding a curved sword and a long spear respectively while the other two men have a large sword and a bow in their hands respectively.

Welcome to the Fight Club. Here we've gathered a team of scientists, combat experts, and doctors to see who would win in a battle between two famous leaders from history.

Alexander the Great: The King of Macedonia who defeated the Persian Empire and created one of the largest empires in the ancient world.

Vs...

William Wallace: A knight from Scotland who battled against the Kingdom of England during the First War of Scottish Independence.

Alexander the Great:

Height: 5'7

Weight: 155 lbs.

Armor: Linothorax

Origin: Macedonia

William Wallace:

Height: 6'6

Weight: 230 lbs.

Armor: Chainmail

Origin: Scotland

A man with brown hair wearing a green jacket over a white shirt with brown pants and a lightsaber on his belt is examining an axe with two blades instead of one.

Lead biomedical scientist and Jedi Knight, Marcus Jennir, will use scientific equipment to determine the lethal power behind the weapons.

"Today we finally have two generals from the past going into battle," Marcus states with excitement, "Considering their history and accomplishments, this is going to be interesting to see."

A woman with brown hair in a doctor's surgical uniform and a lab coat checks on a ballistics gel torso while takes a bolt out of it.

Forensic scientist and surgeon, Hope Woods, would provide insight to the damages that the weapons will have on a person.

"I'll be explaining if these guys will die from their wounds," Hope says, "And if they will make it if their wounds will kill them over time if they survive."

A man with cybernetic gear on the left side of his face that has a red light acting as his eye and a trench coat covering his body is typing at a fast pace on a computer keyboard.

Former Cybernetic Police Enforcer and computer whiz, Dexter "Hacker" Reed, will input the weapon's data into a simulation program developed by Slytherine Studios that will determine the winner.

"For this battle, we'll have it be a squad on squad battle," Dexter tells the audience, "This is because these two are known for having lead army into battle."

The simulation will run a thousand battles between Alexander the Great and four Macedonian soldiers against William Wallace and four Highlanders. The winner will be the Deadliest Warrior.

A man with black hair wearing a red long-sleeve shirt that has a collar and blue jeans has a curved sword in his hands as he practices with the blade.

Kay Vangel, an expert in Macedonian weapons, will lead the warrior king into battle.

"Alexander the Great grew up leading the Macedonian cavalry into battle," Kay states, "So by the time he was king, he knew how to win a battle."

Another man with brown hair wearing a brown shirt and grey cargo pants with hiking shoes thrusts a long spear at a football practice dummy.

Jack Fredrick, an expert in mounted combat, will help test the weapons of used in Alexander's army.

"Alexander was a brilliant military leader," Jack says, "He was able to devised a way to get around the advantages of the Persian's scythed chariots."

The son of Philip II of Macedon, Alexander III of Macedon was tutored by the philosopher Aristotle before becoming king after his father is assassinated. Despite the revolts he faced after his father's death, he quickly had his army marched across Greece to intimidate the rebels into submission. Once this was done, Alexander declared war on Persia and would start his thirteen years of conquering and going undefeated in battle. Incorporated Egypt during his campaign, Alexander would go on to defeat the Persian Empire and would reach the western parts of India before his death.

The experts of Alexander the Great are confident that victory is theirs. But so are the experts for William Wallace.

A man with brown hair wearing a brown leather jacket over a black shirt and jeans with tennis shoes does some practice swings with a large sword.

Connor MacLeod, an expert in Highlander weapons, will take command of the Scottish knight's newest battle.

"William Wallace was considered a rebel by the Kingdom of English," Connor comments with the sword resting on his shoulder, "But those who fought with him considered him a god."

A man with dirty blond wearing a grey vest over a blue shirt and khakis with brown shoes pulls the string of a bow back as he tests the strength behind it.

Douglas Lauchlan, an expert in Scottish weapons, will help in testing the weapons used by William Wallace.

"Some historians believed that William had military experience before his campaign," Douglas tells the camera, "The archer's insignia is on his seal and may have been a mercenary soldier in his youth."

A Scottish knight with Welsh heritage and a landowner, William Wallace began his fight for independence by killing the son of the English governor who was bullying his family. However, he would ultimately join the rebellion against the Kingdom of England after he killed William Heselrig the English Sheriff of Lanark. After this, William would lead outnumbered Scottish forces to ambush the English army at the Battle of Stirling Bridge and emerge victorious. Following a raid on Northern England, he was knighted and named "Guardian of Scotland and Leader of its armies".

So when these two warriors face off, which general would emerge as the victor?

"Alexander the Great defeated the Persian Empire and conquered it," Kay smirkingly says, "What chance does a rebel have against him?"

"William Wallace won't back down from defending his home," Connor states, "He's already battled the English and knows how to repel a conqueror."

"I believe William will defeat the Macedonian general," Marcus comments, "His physicality is greater compared to Alexander and he has motivation to win."

"I'm going to give Alexander the Great a slight advantage," Dexter says, "He was never defeated in battle and he has more professional soldiers than William."

The experts of Alexander the Great are ready to claim another victory with the king's choice of weapon for his archers.

"This will take them down," Kay says while picking up a large crossbow, "And it should be able to get through their armor."

The Gastraphetes: A crossbow of Ancient Greece that can fire a bolt with more power than an archer using a bow.

Gastraphetes

Length: 42 inches

Bow Length: 36 inches

Weight: 10 lbs.

Substance: Wood and iron

"This is the Gastraphetes," Kay tells the experts while holding the crossbow, "This weapon gained its fame as one of the siege weapons during the siege of Tyre."

"That's a big crossbow," Marcus comments, "How exactly do you pull the string back?"

"It's rather simple," Kay remarks, "You put the front on the ground and push it down with your stomach to draw the string back."

"Simple, but it sounds like the reload will be slow," Dexter says.

"True, but it makes up for it in power," Jack replies.

However, the experts of William Wallace are ready to counter with their own ranged weapon.

"This would be take them out," Douglas says with a bow in his hand before walking over to the experts.

The Ettrick Bow: The Scottish answer to the famous English Longbow that rained arrows on the English knights.

Ettrick Bow

Bow Length: 59 inches

Arrow Length: 36 inches

Weight: 1.25 lbs.

Substance: Wood and bowstring

"This is the bow used by the archers from Ettrick Forest," Douglas states while showing the bow, "This was deployed in many of the famous skirmished during the wars with England."

"So, this thing was able to match that of the English Longbow," Hope says with interest.

"It's also possible that William was an archer at one point," Douglas explains, "The archer's insignia is on his personal seal. It's entirely possible he was a mercenary before he joined the rebellion."

"Interesting," Marcus remarks.

As a way to compare the weapons, a test has been set up outside of the Fight Club.

The experts are outside as they see two wooden targets with the first on a stand while the second is hanging on a moving mechanism that is going along rope. The target on the stand is in front of the moving target with a short gap between them.

"Okay, so here's the idea," Marcus tells Kay and Douglas, "You both will have five to prove the accuracy of your weapons. In addition, you both will have a foam torso wearing your opponent's armor and you'll have a final shot to prove if it can go through it."

"That's quite simple," Douglas remarks while Kay nods, "Can't wait."

"Kay, you're up first," Marcus tells him before he and Douglas walk over to the other experts.

While Kay will have to prove the accuracy of the Gastraphetes, a final target has been set up with the chainmail used during William's time.

Kay looks at the ballistics foam torso wearing chainmail that is four feet to the left of the stationary wooden target. Placing the crossbow to the ground, he pushes down on it and the bowstring is pulled back as the mechanism on it moves back. Once it's ready, he picks the crossbow up and places the bolt before steadying his aim. Within a second, Kay fires the bolt and it hits the bullseye of the stationary target.

"Nice shot!" Dexter shouts in excitement as Kay quickly starts to reload the Gastraphetes.

Finishing to pull the bowstring back, he takes the crossbow up and places a bolt on it before firing it at the moving target. However, the bolt just misses its target and continues past it as Kay places the front of the weapon on the ground again. He pushes it against the ground as the mechanism moves back to pull the string back. Taking it back to firing position, Kay places another bolt on the Gastraphetes before aiming it and firing the bolt.

This time, the bolt strikes the moving target with it just to the left of the bullseye on the target. Placing the crossbow on the ground, Kay once again starts to push on it to pull the bowstring back for another shot.

"It's a good weapon," Connor states, "But that reload would get him killed."

"I wouldn't doubt you there," Marcus replies just as Kay finishes reloading and places his fourth bolt on the Gastraphetes. Taking aim, he fires the crossbow only for the bolt to go short this time and lands halfway between him and the targets. Kay quickly goes to reloading the crossbow and pushes down more than the last time.

After he finishes, he brings it up and places another bolt before aiming the Gastraphetes at the stationary target. Firing the bolt, it hits the target just under and to the right of the first bolt before he starts the reloading process one last time.

"Kay, go for the armored target," Marcus shouts to Kay as the expert finishes the reloading process.

Taking his last bolt and placing it on the crossbow, he takes aim at the ballistics foam torso before firing it. The bolt hits the center of the chest with the chainmail being of little defense.

"Done!"

"Okay," Hope says as she walks to the ballistics foam torso with the other experts, "You managed to strike this guy in the center of his chest and pierce through the armor. He'd die the instance it stops."

"So, five shots and three hits," Marcus sums up, "With the armored target being killed. Douglas, think you can manage?"

"Of course," Douglas says with a smirk.

Now, Douglas is up with the Ettrick Bow. Much like with the Gastraphetes, a ballistics gel torso with a replica of the Linothorax armor used by Alexander will be the final test.

Douglas glances over at the ballistics gel torso in the same place as the first one, but this time it wearing white fabric with a bronze plate on the upper chest and bronze scales around its waist. Taking an arrow out of a quiver on his back, he nocks the arrow on the bow and draws it back before aiming at the new wooden targets. Letting the string go, the arrow speeds down range and strikes the stationary target just to the left of the bullseye.

"Great shot," Marcus states as Douglas draws a second arrow from the quiver.

Drawing the bowstring back and letting it go, the arrow goes down range and strikes the moving target in the bullseye. Quickly taking the third arrow and nocking it, the expert raises it before aiming the stationary target again. The arrow is fired and lands within the bullseye before Douglas takes his fourth arrow and nocks it. Aiming the bow at the moving target, he lets the arrow fly only for it to go past the moving target.

"Oh, just missed," Jack remarks as Douglas takes out his second to last arrow and nocking it.

Taking aim again, he fires the arrow and manages to land a hit to the right of the arrow in the bullseye.

"Douglas, go for the armored target," Marcus shouts to Douglas as the expert pulls the final arrow from the quiver.

Nocking the arrow on the bowstring, he lifts the bow up and aims at the ballistics foam torso before letting it fly. The arrow strikes the target under the bronze plate and above the bronze scales, but seemingly stops short of going through.

"Done!"

"Alright," Hope says as she and the other experts walk to the ballistics foam torso before she looks at the armor, "Surprisingly, the arrow didn't get that far. Just barely made it past the fabric."

To illustrate this, she grabs the arrow with her thumb against the fabric and gently takes the arrow out with her thumb on the bottom half of the arrow head.

"So, that's five shots and four hits," Marcus sums up, "With the armored target still alive."

Gastraphetes: 5 bolts, 3 hits, Armored killed

Ettrick Bow: 5 arrows, 4 hits, Armored alive

"Either way, great job on both sides," Dexter tells both experts.

Both weapons have proven their lethality, but which one gains the edge for long range?

"I'll have to give this to the Ettrick Bow," Marcus tells Hope and Dexter, "Nocking an arrow is quicker than reloading the Gastraphetes and the bow's more accurate."

"I'd have to disagree," Dexter comments, "The Gastraphetes was able to pierce the mail while the Ettrick Bow didn't. Edge, Gastraphetes."

"Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with Marcus," Hope replies, "The Gastraphetes may penetrate the mail, but more arrows can be shot off before you finish reloading it."

For long range, William Wallace gets the edge with the Ettrick Bow.

As our experts prepare the next round of testing to see which general would win this battle, there is one factor that can't be programmed into the simulation.

An X-Factor, and for Alexander the Great, it's his tactical and strategic mindset.

"Alexander was once said to have to travel to Gordium to untie the Gordian Knot," Jack tells the camera, "Realizing that it didn't matter how it was undone, he cut through it with his sword to produce the required ends."

For William Wallace, his X-Factor is his drive to free his country from the rule of England.

"William had enough of the English by the time he killed William Heselrig," Connor remarks, "He was willing to lead the Scottish forces against the Kingdom of England even if it meant his death."

And William Wallace had a deadly duo of weapons to kill any English Knight.

"This was often used as an alternate close range option," Connor says as he holds a War Hammer and picks up a dagger from the table, "With this being used as a last resort."

The War Hammer: A weapon of mounted warriors that can easily kill an armored opponent.

War Hammer

Length: 27 inches

Weight: 2.5 lbs.

Substance: Steel and wood

Along with the Bollock Dagger: A self-defense weapon that would evolve into the famous Dirk Dagger.

Bollock Dagger

Blade Length: 7 inches

Length: 12.5 inches

Weight: 4.9 oz.

Substance: Steel and wood

"These are the War Hammer and Bollock Dagger," Connor tells the experts while holding both weapons, "These were pretty common weapons during William's time and those that a Scottish knight would have during battle."

"Interesting name for the dagger," Marcus comments, "Though I could say the same thing about its design."

"Well, that's also why it's referred to as the 'kidney dagger'," Connor says with a smirk.

"I believe we have the perfect target for you," Hope tells him.

"Can't wait," Connor replies before following the three to the testing area.

To test both of the Scottish weapons, a ballistics gel torso with synthetic organs and bones has been prepared. Connor will have two strikes for each weapon to prove their effectiveness.

Connor stands in front of the ballistics gel torso with the Bollock Dagger in his left hand and the War Hammer in his right.

"Connor, are you ready?"

"Ready."

"On three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"

Connor performs an overhead swing with the War Hammer and drives the spike into the head of the ballistics gel torso. As the gel head starts to turn red from the blood, he pulls the spike out of the head before spinning it around in his hand. Using the crowned end of the weapon, the expert brings the head down onto the right shoulder of the torso.

It quickly breaks the bones in the shoulder before bringing the War Hammer back and quickly thrusts with the Bollock Dagger. The blade of the dagger easily goes through the neck of the gel torso before Connor takes the weapon out of the target. Not wasting a second, the expert performs a thrust with the Bollock Dagger into the chest between the ribs.

"Done!"

"Nice job on that first strike," Marcus comments as the experts walk over and Connor takes the dagger out of the ballistics gel torso.

"I'd have to agree," Hope says as she examines the gel torso, "Your first strike easily went into the skull and killed from that alone. In addition, the stab to the neck went through the spine and would have killed it just by severing it."

"How about the other two wounds?" Douglas asks.

"Your second stab went through the chest," Hope continues as she sticks her finger into the wound, "This went into the heart and would have killed instantly. Finally, the shoulder wound would have disabled the right arm and cause pain, but it wouldn't kill."

"Ah, so close," Kay remarks, "Perhaps you if you had only one to use it would have been better. Like the Labrys Axe."

The Labrys Axe: A two headed axe that can easily kill even an armored opponent.

Labrys Axe

Length: 30 inches

Weight: 2.8 lbs.

Substance: Iron and wood

"This is the Labrys Axe," Kay says while holding the axe in both hands, "It is often considered a symbol of Ancient Greece and has become iconic to the time."

"So, two heads to double the damage?" Dexter inquires.

"That's correct," Jack replies, "And would do more damage than that hammer and dagger combo."

"We'll see," Hope states.

To test the Labrys Axe, the same test for the War Hammer and Bollock Dagger has been set up. Kay would have four strikes to prove the lethality against a ballistics gel torso.

Kay is standing in front of a fresh ballistics gel torso with him holding the axe in both hands.

"Kay, are you ready?"

"Ready!"

"On three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, hack it up!"

Kay instantly performs an overhead strike down on the left shoulder with the blade going into the torso and breaks the bones. Taking the blade out, he performs a swing that cuts into the neck and causing blood to splash onto the floor. A second swing has the axe blade slicing through the rest of the neck and the head rolls off onto the floor. Stepping back, Kay spins the axe in his hands to use the other side of the blade before swinging it into the stomach of the torso. Kay pulls the blade out and tears the sides of the wound open in the process.

"Done."

"Great job on the decapitation," Marcus comments while picking up the ballistics gel head.

"Okay, so the two strikes to the neck are obviously fatal," Hope says while looking at the rest of the ballistics gel torso, "Your final strike would have essentially taken out the organs here and I doubt the trauma would leave them awake for long. Your first wound, while not lethal, severed the shoulder and effectively disabled the arm."

"So, you complained about missing on one of my strikes when you yourself missed?" Connor asks with a bit of confusion.

"Wanted to show that I could disable with this as well," Kay smirkingly replies.

Despite the confidence of the experts, which weapons get the edge for their warrior.

"The Bollock Dagger may be a good sidearm and the War Hammer is a great alternative for close range," Hope says with confidence, "But they just can't compete with the amount of trauma the Labrys Axe can deliver."

For special weapons, Alexander the Great gets the edge with the Labrys Axe.

Coming up, Alexander is ready to reveal the weapon that his cavalry used against their enemy, and William Wallace counters with his signature close range weapon.

Alexander the Great or William Wallace: Who will be the Deadliest Warrior?

In the Fight Club, we're one step closer to an all-out between Alexander the Great and William Wallace.

However, the experts for William Wallace are confident on stopping any advancement of their latest opponent.

"This is a simple weapon," Douglas comments while picking up a large spear, "Which just makes it easier to use."

The Schiltron Pike: A Scottish spear that was deployed in defensive positions to halt any cavalry charge.

Schiltron Pike

Length: 12 feet

Weight: 7.6 lbs.

Substance: Steel and wood

"This pike was used by the Scottish during William's time," Douglas tells the experts while holding the pike, "Typically used to stop the cavalry charges of the English."

"Why's it called a 'Schiltron Pike'?" Marcus asks in a bit of confusion.

"It's the name of a defensive position that uses these pikes," Douglas explains, "The name sort of suck since the positions were used often against the English knights."

"Well, that thing we'll have to take outside," Dexter comments, "The length may be a bit to much in here."

"I can see why," Douglas replies as he follows the experts.

Outside the Fight Club, a new test has been set up with a fake horse and a ballistics foam torso.

Douglas holds the Schiltron Pike in his hand while he looks at the fake horse on a dolly that is on rails with a ballistics foam torso on the back of it.

"Okay, so the pike is usually used against horses," Marcus tells him, "But I want you to take out the foam torso on its back."

"Easily done," Douglas replies as Marcus walks to the other experts and Douglas gets to the side of the rails with the target fifty feet away.

"Douglas, are you ready?"

"Yeah."

"On three," Dexter counts down, "Two, one, charge!"

The dolly starts moving towards Douglas as he lowers the Schiltron Pike and prepares himself. The fake horse quickly gains speed as he waits for the perfect moment. When the fake horse gets into range, Douglas thrusts his Schiltron Pike forward and impales the foam torso in the chest with the spear head. He quickly pulls the torso down from the fake horse as it goes past him and the torso lands onto the ground.

"Great job!" Marcus exclaims as the experts walk over to Douglas.

"There's not much to talk about here," Hope says as she looks at the wound after Douglas removes the spear head, "You got the target straight in the chest and got an instant kill."

Despite the evidence, the experts for Alexander the Great are prepared to counter with what could be called his army's signature weapon.

"Let's see if this can even the odds," Jack says while picking up a large spear from a table with assorted Macedonian weapons.

The Xyston: A pike that was the primary weapon of Alexander's Companion Cavalry.

Xyston

Length: 12 feet

Weight: 7 lbs.

Substance: Iron and wood

"This is the Xyston," Jack says as he shows the experts the pike, "The trademark weapon of the Companion Cavalry used by Alexander and his father."

"So, it's typically a cavalry weapon," Dexter remarks.

"Exactly," Jack answers, "But it's similar to the Sarissa used by his infantry so a normal soldier could have used this as well."

"Well, how about we go test it out?" Hope inquires.

"But of course," Jack replies with a smile as he follows the experts.

Just like the last test, Jack will have to take out a ballistics foam torso with the Xyston. However, this time with a slight twist.

Jack approaches on horseback to a position a hundred feet away from a ballistics foam torso on a stand.

"Jack, are you ready?"

"Ready!"

"On three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, charge!"

Jack quickly has the horse gallop forward with the Xyston pointed directly at the target. The horse quickly gains speed as it approaches the ballistics foam torso before the spear head of the Xyston strikes the target in the chest. As the horse and the expert keep moving, the target ends up getting dragged behind them.

"Interesting method of killing," Marcus jokingly says as Jack reaches the experts with the horse now walking.

"Again, not much to talk about here," Hope says as she kneels next to the ballistics foam torso with the spear head still in it, "You got him in the heart and he would have been killed instantly."

"Strange that you'd risk a charge at us," Douglas comments, "Considering that's the purpose behind our pike."

"Perhaps it is," Jack counters, "But I can still reach you before you can even try to take my horse out."

Both teams are confident of their weapons, but the verdict doesn't share their optimism.

"This one is simply straight forward," Dexter says, "Both are basically the same weapon with one on foot and the other on horseback. Don't really change much."

For medium range, the edge is a draw for both Alexander the Great and William Wallace.

If Alexander the Great and his Macedonian soldiers ever met William Wallace and his Highlander warriors in battle, who would win?

With only one round of testing to go, the experts for the Macedonian king are ready to gain the advantage with the king's melee weapon.

"This blade was used by many soldiers in Alexander's army," Jack comments as he takes a sword with a forward curve from a table, "So it'd make sense for their leader to use it as well."

The Kopis: A sword that was perfect for mounted warriors to deliver quick kills.

Kopis

Blade Length: 23.5 inches

Length: 29.8 inches

Weight: 2.5 lbs.

Substance: Iron, bone, and brass

"This is the Kopis," Jack tells the experts while showing them the blade, "This was made by the Greek armies for cavalry troops and was still used during Alexander's time."

"Interesting that it has a forward curve," Marcus remarks, "I'm guessing that's to increase its slashing ability."

"That's correct," Kay replies, "Which makes it perfect for a warrior on horseback."

Unfortunately, the experts for the Scottish knight have readied a counter with the knight's signature weapon.

"Ah, this is a beauty," Connor remarks as he picks up a large sword from a table with Scottish weapons before walking to the experts.

The Claymore Sword: One of the biggest swords ever produced that can easily cut a man to ribbons.

Blade Length: 51.97 inches

Length: 64.17 inches

Weight: 5.95 lbs.

Substance: Steel, wood, and leather

"Ah, the return of the trademark Highlander weapon," Marcus comments with intrigue as Connor walks up to the experts with the sword laying over his shoulder.

"This is a replica of the famous Wallace Sword," Connor tells the experts, "It's said that this blade belonged to William Wallace during his life."

"So, why does it have a hilt from the 16th century?" Dexter asks in confusion.

"Some documentation has stated that the hilt and pommel was replaced," Douglas answers, "The order came from King James IV to an armorer in 1506."

Both warriors have their signature blades at the ready and our experts have already set up a test for the experts to use them.

Both Connor and Jack look at a wooden structure that hold a pig carcass and a piece of beef as the arm that holds them moves around in a circle. Nearby, another piece of beef is strapped to a stand about five feet from another stand with a ballistics foam torso.

"Okay, here's how this will go down," Marcus tells both experts, "You have two stationary targets and two moving targets. You'll both take out the moving targets first and then move on to the stationary targets. The foam torso will be wearing the armor of the other warrior, so leave that one for last."

"Pretty simple to remember," Connor says with confidence.

"Yeah, should be a cake walk," Jack states with similar confidence.

"Glad you hear that," Marcus tells them, "Jack, you're up first."

Since the Kopis was used as a cavalry weapon, Jack will be allowed to take out two targets while on horseback.

Jack is on the horse he used previously as he prepares himself with the Kopis in his right hand. Looking ahead, he sees the targets with the ballistics foam torso wearing a shirt of mail.

"Jack, are you ready?"

"Ready!"

"On three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"

Jack quickly has his horse gallop forward with him raising the Kopis ready to strike. As he reaches the pig as it swings around, he swings the Kopis and delivers a large slash through the pig's midsection before passing. After Jack has the horse turn around, he has the horse gallop back to the moving targets. This time, he swings his Kopis at the piece of beef and cuts through it with ease. On he passes the moving target, Jack stops the horse and quickly dismounts from his horse.

Running up to the piece of beef, he uses his sword to stab it between the ribs and a second slash down the middle of the beef. Continuing on to the ballistics foam torso, he performs a slash that only slides along the mail. However, Jack quickly performs a thrust that has the top of the blade going through the mail about an inch into the middle of the target before he takes it out.

"Done!"

"Great job!" Marcus tells Jack as the expert grabs the reins of the horse and the moving targets come to a stop.

"So," Hope explains as she looks at the two moving targets, "You gave the first target a clean slash across the stomach. A cut like this would easily take them down and would result in death. Your second target managed to do the same so the same story here."

"Shows how well the blade is on horseback," Jack states as the experts move on to the stationary targets.

"You got a good stab with your third target," Hope continues to explain, "The wound is wide enough for the person to bleed out if you didn't do the slash. This has cut deep enough to kill the target."

"Let me remove this," Marcus says before taking the mail shirt off the ballistics foam torso.

"Well, this is different," Hope states as she looks at the wound, "The stab is under the rib cage and would leave a lethal wound. However, the chain mail stop the blade short and ensured that it wasn't immediately fatal."

"Well, this blade is primarily a slashing weapon," Jack says, "It can be used for thrusting, but it's not how it was normally used."

"Perhaps a sword that does both would do better," Connor comments with a smirk.

While Connor won't have a horse for the test, the use of the Claymore Sword was often done on foot.

Connor stands while holding the sword with both hands at the ready as he looks ahead at the ballistics foam torso. This time the foam torso is wearing a red linothorax with the bronze plate.

"Connor, are you ready?"

"Ready!"

"On three," Marcus counts down, "Two, one, go!"

Connor charges forward with a roar towards the moving targets as he raises his sword at the ready. Upon reaching the pig as the arm spins, he swings the Claymore and easily slashes the carcass in half with the bottom half falling onto the ground. Staying in place, he waits for the piece of beef before performing another swing to the beef as it passes. While the sword doesn't cut it in half, he does leave the bottom part barely hanging on.

Running past the wooden structure to the stationary piece of beef, Connor uses this into a thrust and causes the blade to go through the target with ease. Pulling the blade out of the target, he continues to the final target and brings the sword on it with a downward swing. The blade hits the right shoulder guard and manages to bite into the bronze scales on it before pulling the sword back. With a roar, he grabs the hilt with both hands and thrusts the Claymore into the target and the armor before the blade is stopped by the wooden back and Connor lets go of the sword.

"Done!"

"Nice job!" Dexter tells Connor as he walks over to the rest of the experts as the moving targets come to a stop.

"Well, this time the injuries are rather self-explanatory," Hope states as she looks at the injuries, "Your first target is easily killed upon being cut in half. For your second target, you were able to make quite the wound. This isn't a full bisection, but it'd kill just as easily."

"And that was just from using the sword on foot," Connor says with a smirk as the experts walk to the other two targets.

"Your thrust on the third target was impressive," Hope continues as she explains the wounds, "As you managed to thrust all the way through it. If you went through the chest or neck, you'll kill your opponent with ease."

"Um," Marcus says as he looks at the embedded sword, "I don't think we'll be able to take the armor off with this."

"Sorry about that," Connor replies as he grabs the sword and pulls it out.

"Well, I think the results speak for themselves," Hope says as she continues to look at the target, "The blade would have gone through if the wood wasn't present and you damaged the scales on the shoulder guard."

"Well, you didn't try to thrust into the scales protecting the target's waist," Jack says mockingly.

"I know," Connor smirkingly replies, "But I was able to still get a kill in. Not very protective if I can find a way around your armor."

Both swords have proven their deadliness, but which one gets the edge?

"This one is no contest to me," Marcus tells Hope and Dexter, "The Claymore Sword proved its effectiveness again and it performed better than the Kopis."

"I have to agree," Hope replies, "Both sword can kill and the Kopis can be used on horseback, but the Claymore simply can do more damage."

"Not to mention its greater reach," Dexter inputs, "But the Claymore can get around the linothorax while the Kopis had trouble with the mail."

For close range, William Wallace gets the edge with the Claymore Sword.

With the testing complete, Dexter will now load the results into the simulation program to determine the winner.

Coming up, the final showdown begins. Alexander the Great, or William Wallace: Who will come out as the Deadliest Warrior?

The moment of truth has arrived; it's time to find out who would win in a battle between Alexander the Great and William Wallace.

For Alexander the Great, we tested four weapons of his Macedonian army: the Labrys Axe, the Gastraphetes, the Xyston, and the Kopis.

For William Wallace, we tested four weapons used by the Scottish knight: the War Hammer, the Bollock Dagger, the Ettrick Bow, the Schiltron Pike, and the Claymore Sword.

For special weapons, the Labrys Axe butted heads with the War Hammer and the Bollock Dagger.

"This was no contest," Hope states, "The Labrys Axe was able to simply do more damage than both the War Hammer and Bollock Dagger."

Edge: Alexander the Great

For long range, the Ettrick Bow battled it out with the Gastraphetes.

"This comes down to reloading and accuracy," Marcus says to the camera, "Which the bow has over the armor penetration of the crossbow."

Edge: William Wallace

For medium range, the Schiltron Pike clashed with the Xyston.

"Both weapons are basically the same," Dexter comments, "So the results of the damage basically are equivalent to each other."

Edge: Draw

Finally, for close range, the Kopis was pitted against the Claymore Sword.

"The Kopis may be better on horseback," Marcus says, "But the Claymore can do more damage and has a great reach."

Edge: William Wallace

With the testing complete, Dexter loads all the data into the computer program to simulate a thousand battles between Alexander the Great and four Macedonian soldiers and William Wallace and four Highlander warriors.

It's a battle of opposites.

Warrior King...

(Alexander the Great rides on his horse with his Kopis at the ready before slashing the neck of a Persian cavalryman.)

Vs. Knight

(William Wallace takes aim with the Ettrick Bow at a charging English knight before shooting an arrow into his opponent's eye.)

Conqueror...

(Alexander the Great charges forth with his Companion Cavalry with a Xyston at the ready and impales a Persian Immortal through.)

Vs. Guardian

(William Wallace charges forward with his Claymore Sword at a Yeoman Archer before decapitating his opponent.)

"Alright, all the data has been uploaded," Dexter says to the camera, "It's now time to see who is the Deadliest Warrior."

Dexter turns around and performs a quick stroke over the keyboard.

-Fight-Start-

In the ruins of a Scottish village, five men wearing warrior tunics and pants are surveying the area with one of them examining a wrecked hut and another simply looks around at the destruction. The leader of these men, who has brown hair and a beard, has a Claymore and a quiver on his back along with an Ettrick Bow over his shoulder, a War Hammer in his right hand, and a heater shield on his left arm. Next to him is a man with black hair while holding a Schiltron Pike up and a Claymore Sword on his back.

The third man with red hair and mustache, who is examining the wrecked hut, has a War Hammer and Bollock Dagger on his belt and a heater shield on his left arm along with an Ettrick Bow over his shoulder and a quiver on his back. The fourth man, who has brown hair and a mustache, is next to a Schiltron Pike in the ground with a Bollock Dagger and a War Hammer on his belt. He places his hand on the shoulder of the fifth man, who has black hair and beard along with an Ettrick Bow in his right hand along with a quiver on his back and a Bollock Dagger on his belt.

These men, in order of appearance, are William Wallace, Angus, Logan, Blake, and Shawe. They have arrived to the ruined town after seeing the fire from a nearby camp.

William Wallace: 5

On a nearby hill, five men wearing linothorax armor and chalcidian helmets are watching the five as they lie in wait for them. Their leader, who is riding a horse, has a Xyston in his hand and a bronze shield on his left arm with a Kopis sheathed on his belt. To his left is a man with a Gastraphetes and a Labrys Axe next to him while to his right is a man with a Xyston in his hands and a Kopis sheathed on his belt.

A fourth man, who has a Gastraphetes in his hands and a Kopis sheathed on his belt, puts the bow to the ground as he takes out a bolt. The final man, who has a Labrys Axe in his hand and a bronze shield on his left arm, continues to watch as he awaits orders from his leader. These men, in order of appearance, are Alexander the Great, Xenos, Galen, Vasyl, and Talos. Haven moved up and started to conquer parts of the Kingdom of England, Alexander has decided to push forward to conquer the rest of the island.

"(Xenos, Vasyl)," Alexander the Great tells them, "(Prepare your weapons.)"

Both men nod before they start to load their Gastraphetes to start their ambush while their opponents are unaware. Back in the ruined village, William Wallace looks in sympathy as Shawe starts to walk towards a destroyed shack.

"Sir William!" Logan shouts as he runs over to him with a curved sword in hand, "This isn't a blade of the English army."

William Wallace takes the sword and looks at it before he replies, "I'm not familiar with this style of sword. Someone else did this."

Once they finish loading their Gastraphetes, Xenos and Vasyl start to take aim with their crossbows at the Highlanders below them. However, at that moment William Wallace scans the surrounding area and spots the Macedonians up on the hill.

"Archer!" he calls out as he throws the strange sword away, "Take cover!"

William Wallace and his men quickly start to scatter and run for cover as both Xenos and Vasyl fire their Gastraphetes down towards the Highlanders. Shawe gets a bolt to his right leg and falls to the ground as the other bolt strikes the ground completely missing the others. Not wasting time, the Macedonian archers quickly place their Gastraphetes on the ground and start to pull the bow back.

"(Galen, Talos,)" Alexander the Great tells the other two Greeks, "(Prepare to charge!)"

As Shawe gets himself up against the hut, he along with Logan and William Wallace quickly nock arrows onto their Ettrick Bows and take aim at Macedonians. Just as Xenos and Vasyl pick their Gastraphetes up, the three Highlanders let their arrows loose with Logan striking Xenos in his right arm and causing the Macedonian to drop his weapon.

Unfortunately, Vasyl is less fortunate as an arrow manages to go through his armor into his upper chest and a second one goes through his neck. The Macedonian archer drops to the ground and falls down dead in short order.

"Prepare for battle!" William Wallace tells his men as he places his Ettrick Bow over his left shoulder and gets out of cover with his War Hammer and heater shield out. Both Angus and Blake quickly come out of cover with their Schiltron Pikes at the ready as Shawe gets to his feet while still up against the hut.

"(Charge!)" Alexander the Great shouts before having his horse gallop down the hill with Xenos picking up his Labrys Axe and joining the other Macedonians in the charge. With Talos charges with his own Labrys Axe at the ready and Galen lowering his Xyston into position while running, the Scottish archers fire arrows at them. However, even as the four Macedonians continue charging towards them, Logan and Shawe are unable to hit them as Angus charges with his pike at the ready.

Unfortunately, Alexander's horse closes the distance quickly and the Macedonian leader is able to impale his Xyston through Angus' chest before letting it go. Just as William Wallace jumps out of the way to avoid being trampled, Angus falls to the ground and dies with the other Macedonian soldiers reaching them.

Nocking an arrow on his Ettrick Bow, Shawe stays leaning against the hut as he aims at the Macedonian leader and is about to launch the arrow. Unfortunately, Talos makes it to him and quickly kicks the Scottish archer to the ground and steps on the archer's wounded leg. Shawe doesn't have time to even react before the Labrys Axe is lodged in the archer's skull.

Galen tries to run towards William Wallace with his Xyston at the ready on for Logan to get out of cover without his bow. Running towards the Macedonian soldier, the Scottish archer pulls out his Bollock Dagger and quickly stabs the soldier in his arm, causing him to drop the Xyston. At the same time, Blake turns to see Alexander turning his horse around before looking back to see Xenos charging towards him.

Thankfully, William Wallace steps in front of the Highlander as the Macedonian tries to strike him and uses his heater shield to block said strike. Not wasting time, the Scottish knight quickly lands a kick on Xenos' chest and forces him back. Logan takes out his War Hammer and tries to strike Galen, but the Macedonian sidesteps the strike and pulls out his Kopis. The Highlander swings the weapon again, but the Macedonian dodges the strike and uses his blade to cut off Logan's hand.

As Logan screams in pain, Galen uses his Kopis to slice the man's neck open and quickly drops him as Alexander the Great looks back at the battle and pulls out his Kopis.

William Wallace: 2

Xenos tries to perform another strike with his Kopis, but William Wallace quickly deflects it with his heater shield before performing his own strike with his War Hammer. The strike manages to strike the helmet of the soldier and stuns him before he performing another swing. The spike of the War Hammer manages to go through the linothorax and into the man's heart before the Highlander takes it out with relative ease.

Alexander the Great: 3

William Wallace: 2

William sees Galen running towards him and Blake as said Highlander sees Talos coming running towards them as well. At the same time, Alexander the Great starts riding towards them with his Kopis at the ready.

"Sir, I'll hand this one," Blake says before preparing to fight Talos. Nodding, William Wallace charges towards Galen and reaches the Macedonian before said soldier tries to slash his foe with his Kopis. However, the Highlander manages to block the strike with his shield and counters with his own strike with the spike end of his War Hammer.

The spike easily goes through the helmet and barely scratches Galen's head before the Scottish knight takes his War Hammer out. At the same time this happens, Blake drops his Schiltron Pike as Talos runs towards him before the Highlander quickly kneels down. Picking his pike back up, Blake brings it up and charges forward to run Talos through with it.

William Wallace: 2

As Blake lets go of the Schiltron Pike and lets the dead Macedonian take it with him, William Wallace swings the spike of his War Hammer into Galen's neck. Easily killing the last Macedonian soldier, the Scottish knight takes his weapon out and turns to look at Blake while Galen falls down dead.

However, William Wallace watches in shock and anger as Alexander the Great passes Blake and the Highlander falls to the ground with his face slashed open.

Looking on as the Macedonian general turns his horse around, the Scottish knight throws his War Hammer away and takes his heater shield off his arm. As Alexander the Great gets ready to charge at his foe, William Wallace tosses his shield away before starting to pull out his Claymore Sword. Not wasting a second, the Macedonian general has his horse gallop with Kopis raised for the kill towards the knight as said man takes his sword out of its scabbard.

As the horse is about to reach him, William Wallace runs forward and steps to the side before swinging his sword. This causes the Scottish knight to slash the horse and send it falling forward with Alexander the Great being thrown off. Quickly getting to his feet with sword and shield at the ready, the Macedonian general looks at his unmoving horse before look up to his foe in anger.

"(You shall pay for that,)" Alexander sneers before getting around his fallen horse and meets William in battle as the Macedonian uses his bronze shield to deflect a strike from the Claymore Sword. The general performs a slash with his Kopis that only hits air as the Highlander jumps back to avoid the strike. The Scottish knight performs an over head swing that Alexander the Great blocks with his shield and forces him to take a step back from the blow.

As Alexander lowers his shield to perform a strike, the Highlander takes his right hand off his sword and strikes the helmet of the Macedonian with the guard of his Claymore. Quickly grabbing the shield of the general, the Scottish knight kicks his foe back and manages to take the bronze shield from its owner. Alexander quickly recovers from the kick and looks back at William Wallace as said man tosses the shield away from them.

"I'll make you pay for what you've done here!" William shouts in rage as he swings his Claymore Sword at the Macedonian only for said man to jump away from it. Quickly closing the distance, Alexander the Great uses his Kopis to slash at the Scottish knight's chest only to cut the tunic open and the blade slides against the mail underneath.

The Highlander throws a punch that hits the general in the face and makes him step back before the knight once again swings his sword. However, the Macedonian recovers and dropping to his knees to avoid the swing before stabbing his foe in the left leg. Crying out in pain, William Wallace is forced back once the blade is taken out and Alexander the Great takes advantage of this to thrust his Kopis at the Scottish Knight.

The blade manages to get through the mail and into the Highlander's stomach and takes the blade out before backing up. As the Macedonian looks on, the general watches his foe step back and grab his stomach before realizing that the knight's armor can be pierced with a thrusting attack. Grabbing his sword with both hands, Alexander the Great steps forward and thrusts his Kopis forward towards his foe's heart.

However, William Wallace quickly steps to the side as he raises his Claymore Sword and bring it down on the general's arms. The Macedonian screams out in pain as his forearms fall to the ground with his hands still gripping his Kopis. Deciding to end this, the Scottish Knight delivers a kick that sends his foe falling backwards before walking up to his foe.

Placing his left foot on the general, the Highlander takes his Claymore Sword in both hands with the blade pointing down and raises it. A second later, William Wallace uses all of his strength to impale his sword through Alexander the Great's chest before twisting the sword in the body. The Macedonian coughs up blood and looks at his foe before drawing his final breath.

Alexander the Great: 0

William Wallace: 1

Taking his Claymore Sword out of his fallen foe, William Wallace looks at his foe before raising his sword into the air and gives out a cry of victory.

-Fight-End-

"According to the simulation, William Wallace won just over fifty-three percent of the time," Dexter explains, "This is because the composition of his weapons and armor were superior to Alexander's and his physicality did play a part in the results."

William Wallace was able to claim victory in 532 kills, with his Claymore Sword and Ettrick Bow being his best weapons.

William Wallace

Ettrick Bow: 125

War Hammer: 99

Bollock Dagger: 50

Schiltron Pike: 120

Claymore Sword: 138

All-in-all: 532

Alexander put up a good fight, but only claimed 468 kills in the simulation. His best weapons were the Xyston Pike and the Labrys Axe.

Alexander the Great

Gastraphetes: 108

Labrys Axe: 121

Xyston: 126

Kopis: 113

All-in-all: 468

"Alexander may have had better armor and was possibly the better tactician," Marcus says, "But William has experience against trained soldiers and he was able to dominate up close and at a distance."

"William Wallace was able to score more kills in all but special weapons," Hope remarks, "But it's still interesting to see Alexander having the greater consistency with his arsenal."

"The results have it wrong," Kay says with some disbelief, "Alexander was never defeated in battle and couldn't be defeated by a common rebel."

"Alexander the Great did prove to be a worthy opponent," Connor states with a smile, "But he couldn't claim the title of 'deadliest warrior' from William Wallace."

(William Wallace prepares to help lead Scottish forces into battle against the Macedonian army with Alexander's Kopis now sheathed on his belt.)

Apologies to all fans of Alexander the Great...

WHO IS DEADLIEST?

Ray Tanaka: Hey, doing something new for this chapter and putting my notes on the end of the chapter. I figured that it'd be better here than at the beginning and I could cover more about the chapter than I could where I had it. First off, yes, I did put the Highlander as an expert for William Wallace. Because why not.

Secondly, their appearance and armor are based off pictures and what the people of the time wore than off popular culture. For Alexander, I gave him linothorax armor since the armor that he's normally shown wearing appears similar to how I've described it. The only source I could find listing him having the bronze cuirass from the show...was the show itself. For William Wallace, since he's suppose to be a knight from the 13th century I changed his appearance to a combination of the show's version for his physical appearance and a picture I found for his clothing and armor.

As for weapons, it was an easy enough thing. The Labrys Axe I've seen being given to Alexander the Great and I decided to use it. I did have the ballista in the original plan, but scrapped it since the axe was more useful. In addition, I did have William Wallace have the Dirk dagger and Targe shield at one point. However, I changed these after someone pointed out that they weren't around during William's time. So, the Bollock Dagger (yes, that's its real name) replaced the Dirk while the Heater shield (which was common during the 13th century) replaced the Targe.

One final thing I want to say is that I originally intended to have actual Greek for when Alexander spoke. However, I wasn't able to grasp how to write the Greek phrases down and ultimately had to change it. That's about it. Hope you all enjoyed the chapter.
