Hey guys. Thanks for all your reviews on Chapter 65. I really enjoyed them. I know some of Finn's actions in this action weren't thought of well in the fandom, so I did my best to understand them. I can't believe Season 3's almost over. Well, even if not everyone did, I liked their senior prom. Enjoy and review if I should keep going!

Chapter 66: Prom-asaurus

Finn sat in his study hall working on his government homework when the teacher began passing out papers. "These are the ballots for nominations for prom king and queen," the teacher said. "You can each nominate one person for king and one person for queen, and then turn them into me at the end of the period.

Finn looked at the paper. Prom king and queen. Still left a bitter taste. He'd spent most of the second half of his junior year listening to Quinn obsess over being prom king and queen, time that could have been spent with Rachel.

Finn was going to put Rachel's name on the ballot. Of course he was. She'd had a rough week after her failed audition, and she could use something to make her happy. But could she win? He knew she wasn't the most popular girl in school since most people didn't get her. Maybe he could recruit her a few votes. Finn turned to the boy next to him. His name was Josh Lyons and he was on the baseball team with Finn. Finn didn't know him well, but this was worth a shot. "Hey."

"Hey," Josh said. "So, who are you voting for as prom royalty?"

Maybe this was a good opportunity. "Well, I'm voting for my fiancee for prom queen. Rachel Berry. She's really pretty and she's sweet and talented and she's fun to be with..." Now Finn realized how corny he sounded. "Anyway, she had a bad college audition last week, and I think if she won prom queen, it could up her spirits." Maybe that was the better angle.

"Oh, I know her," Josh said. "She's in some of my classes. She is pretty, and she seems nice."

"She is," Finn said. "Who were you planning on voting for?"

"I wasn't sure," Josh said. "But if your fiancee's as great as you say she is... I'll vote for her."

Finn felt accomplished. "Great!"

"Finn, Josh, no talking in study hall," the teacher said.

Finn groaned. He couldn't recruit the other guys in his study hall to vote for Rachel, and this was his last class period of the day. Maybe some other boys in the school had voted for Rachel...

x

Rachel didn't get nominated.

Santana, Quinn and another girl Finn didn't know were named prom queen finalists. To Finn's surprise, he was a prom king finalist, but he didn't expect to win. Brittany was campaigning for prom king in hopes that she and Santana could be prom royalty, and she'd gotten to be a finalist. The third finalist was Rick the Stick - who was somehow the most popular boy in school.

On the way into Glee, Finn asked Rachel the question he was afraid to ask. "So are you bummed you didn't get nominated for prom queen?"

Rachel didn't look disappointed at all. "In what world would I ever be nominated for prom queen?"

"Well, I voted for you," Finn assured Rachel as they sat down. "And I got that crossed-eyed dude in my study hall to vote for you, too."

Rachel smiled at Finn. "That's very sweet of you, but I'm not upset at all actually, because I am gonna be spending my entire prom night dancing with my devastatingly handsome future husband to be. We'll make your posters later, okay?" She leaned in and kissed him.

Mr. Schue came in. "Okay! A big congrats to all our prom nominees! But, hey, listen up. We are all winners, because Principal Figgins asked New Directions to sing again this year! Brittany has an announcement."

Brittany came to the front of the room. "Hello, my fellow Americans. The theme for this year's prom will be... dinosaurs."

Santana looked like someone had discovered a cure for cancer. "Sheer genius."

"Thanks," Brittany continued. "I was inspired by the new girl Joe, who reminds me of a cavewoman. The refreshments will be berries, meat and rainwater. As you are no doubt aware, the U.S. elections are riddled with corruption. Therefore, to keep the prom elections completely aboveboard, I have appointed Santana and Quinn to count the ballots."

Two nominees? "What? That makes no sense!" Kurt spoke for the group.

"Shut it, Richard Simmons," Santana said. "Yes, Quinn's my homegirl, but I don't trust her, and you know she doesn't trust me."

"We'll keep each other honest," Quinn added.

"You know, it's actually not a bad idea," Mercedes admitted.

"And last but not least, all hair gel has been banned from the prom," Brittany said, looking at Blaine.

Blaine laughed. "Right."

"I'm actually not joking," Brittany declared. "Hair gel was not invented until almost 30 million years after the Upper Paleolithic Stone Age. And frankly, I don't like the way you look. Therefore, anyone who shows up to prom wearing hair gel will be turned away at the door. I hereby decree this to be the best prom ever."

"Okay," Mr. Schue said. "Let's start thinking of dinosaur songs."

After glee practice, Quinn wheeled up to Finn. "Hey Finn, congratulations on being a finalist."

"You too," Finn said.

"So I was thinking, how about we run together?" Quinn suggested. "You know, make posters with both our names on them and campaign together, like Santana and Brittany are doing?"

Finn thought back to last year. Last year had pretty much been a nightmare, with Quinn obsessing over prom. Rachel had gotten hurt, and badly. "I don't know if that's such a good idea," Finn said.

"Because of Rachel?" Quinn asked.

"Yeah," Finn said. "She's already upset and she might be even more upset if she sees me doing a coupley thing with another girl."

"We aren't doing this as a couple, Finn," Quinn snapped. "I almost died - coming to YOUR wedding. I'm stuck in a wheelchair. Don't you think that after all of that I deserve to win prom queen?"

Now Finn was caught in a guilt trap. "Okay, I just hope Rachel doesn't get upset."

"She'll understand," Quinn said. "I'll make some posters and you can hang them up tomorrow."

x

Rachel had to admit, with prom coming up, she was feeling a little better about what had happened last week. After her failed audition, prom was a nice distraction. She hadn't had much fun at prom last year - originally she thought it would be fun to go with Sam and Mercedes as a group of friends, but then Jesse had shown up and invited himself along... This year would be different though. This year would be fun. She'd get to go to prom with Finn.

Then something caught Rachel's eye. A poster endorsing Finn and Quinn for prom royalty. Why was Finn campaigning with Quinn? Rachel tore down the poster and went to see Finn at his locker. "Hey, did you know about this? I know you knew about this 'cause it was hung at eye level and I know Quinn couldn't reach up that high to put it there."

"Whoa, whoa," Finn said. "Remember when I told you that if you come at me with the crazy right off the bat that my head goes all empty and I can't really have a productive conversation?"

"This isn't crazy, this is mad, this is hurt," Rachel corrected.

"This isn't a big deal," Finn shot back.

"Not a big deal?" Rachel repeated. "I'm gonna have to watch my fiancé dance in front of the entire school with his ex-girlfriend at my senior prom."

"If you haven't noticed, Quinn can't dance," Finn said. "She just about died coming to our wedding. She asked me if I would campaign with her, and I figured it was the least I could do for our friend. I can't believe how selfish you're being."

Rachel couldn't believe how Finn was acting. "Yeah, well, if you haven't noticed, I'm kind of having a bad week myself. I can't believe that my entire high school career is gonna end the exact same way it started... just some sad little Jewish girl watching you get all the attention with the pretty blonde cheerleader."

Rachel began to walk away. She understood why Finn was doing this, but it still hurt. She didn't have to watch the man she was going to marry win prom king and queen with another girl. She decided to go to the auditorium and try out a song she had in mind for prom and was surprised when Kurt and Blaine came in to join her.

Rachel:
Ladadada,
The smell of your skin lingers on me now
You're probably on your flight back to your home town
I need some shelter of my own protection, baby
To be with myself and center
Clarity, peace, serenity

Kurt with Blaine and Rachel:
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do

Blaine (with Rachel):
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be
(A big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry)

Rachel:
The path that I'm walkin', I must go alone
I must take the baby steps 'til I'm full grown, full grown
Fairy tales don't always have a happy ending, do they?
And I foresee the dark ahead if I stay

Kurt with Blaine and Rachel:
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do

Rachel with Blaine:
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry

Kurt:
Like the little school mate in the school yard
We'll play jacks and Uno cards
I'll be your best friend and you'll be mine Valentine

Blaine and Kurt:
Yes, you can hold my hand if you want to

Blaine:
'Cause I want to hold yours too
We'll be playmates and lovers
And share our secret worlds

Rachel:
But it's time for me to go home
It's getting late, dark outside
I need to be with myself, and center
Clarity, peace, serenity, yeah

Kurt with Blaine and Rachel:
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do

Rachel with Blaine:
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now

Blaine, Kurt, and Rachel:
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry

"Rehearsing for prom? 'Cause I love that song, but it's sort of a downer, don't you think?" Blaine asked at the end of the song.

Rachel felt comfortable talking to Kurt and Blaine. "It's just how I'm feeling right now, okay? I don't want to watch Finn and Quinn get crowned the king and queen at my prom. I don't want to watch him dance with her. I know that she can't really dance anymore, but... I'm sorry. You know...you know what I mean."

"She's right. Prom sucks. I don't want to go, either," Kurt complained.

"Well, you have to go. You're the reigning prom queen. You have to crown the next one," Blaine pointed out.

"As much as I love a good coronation, I can't risk it," Kurt said. "With this school's strong and insane tradition of write-in ballots, I could get elected prom queen again, all right? And I know I put on a brave face last year, but it was humiliating. And, had I known, I would have worn a full kilt, so..."

"How do you think I feel with Brittany's insane ban on hair gel?" Blaine asked. "It's prom. There's going to be balloons all over the place, not to mention the taffeta and the silk blends. The sheer amount of static electricity in that room is going to be terrifying."

"It's crazy," Kurt said.

"You've never seen my hair without gel... it's baby-hair fine. No, I'm going to look like Medusa. It's not funny. I don't want to go," Blaine continued.

"Well, if we're all going to be so miserable about it, who says we have to go?" Kurt asked.

Rachel realized Kurt had a point. Why should they go to prom, a pretty expensive night, they'd have together if they wouldn't have any fun? "You're right, Kurt. But I have a better idea," Rachel said.

"What?" Blaine asked.

"An anti-prom," Rachel said. "I can get us a hotel room and we can have a party."

Finn came in. "What's going on?"

"I was thinking that we should have an anti-prom," Rachel said.

"Well, I don't think prom would be much fun without you," Finn admitted. "As a finalist, I do have to be there until they crown the prom king and queen, but I'll come right after."

"Great!" Rachel said. "Do you think the other glee club members will come?"

"Let's ask them in glee club today!" Blaine said.

x

In glee club that day, Rachel went to the front of the room. "So Kurt and Blaine and I are throwing an anti-prom party."

"What's an anti-prom party?" Mercedes asked.

"It's a party for those of us who maybe feel a little, you know, disenfranchised by the actual prom," Rachel explained. "And I got us a hotel room at Lima's best hotel, Red Rooster Express Suite, and everyone's invited."

Quinn looked at Finn with disgust. "You're supporting this?"

"I'm supporting her, and I'll be there as soon as I'm done fulfilling my... obligations," Finn said.

"The mood will be celebratory, the food will be catered, the libations will be plentiful, and the dress code will be creative black tie," Kurt continued.

"Optional, optional, optional. And keeping up with the anti-prom theme, everyone is welcome, and unlike the actual prom, which ends at 11:00 p.m., ours goes until the wee hours of the night. It's where the fun's at, you guys," Rachel added.

"Okay, how is everyone welcome when this is clearly just a party for you and the two gay Winklevii twins?" Santana snapped.

"Actually, Santana, we've invited most of McKinley's underclassmen," Rachel lied. Well, they could do that.

"I'm in," Puck said.

"But what about your tradition of trying to spike Coach Sylvester's punch bowl?" Artie asked. "I almost lost my teeth for it last time."

"It's impossible. Plus it's a bummer, always failing at everything," Puck said.

"Can we just talk about what this really is? Rachel Berry isn't getting her way, so she's punishing the rest of us," Santana declared.

"Santana, that's not the case at all," Rachel protested.

"Stop acting like you're fine and start dealing with your crap," Santana lectured. "Look, you choked at your big audition. I get it. I'm sorry, but it happens. And I understand that you're pissed off at the universe, but imploding on one of the last nights that we have to spend together because, basically, you're just not in the mood to dance is maybe the pettiest thing you have ever done. So have fun at your I'm a victim party, acting like you're not some selfish, self-centered, lame-ass wannabe diva from hell, because me, I'm going to go to my senior prom with my girlfriend and my friends."

How was skipping a potentially painful prom worse than all the fits she threw over solos? Or making out with Puck? Or betraying Kurt in the election? Or...

"Okay, let's get started," Mr. Schue said. "Nationals are in a few weeks and our numbers need to be perfect."

x

After glee practice, Quinn wheeled up to Finn. "Finn, we need to hang up more posters."

"Well, I kind of had plans," Finn said.

"Your plans can wait," Quinn snapped. Finn was strongly reminded of last year as they left. "You can't be too pleased by that stunt Rachel's pulling."

"I'm not, but I kind of feel bad for her. She's going through a lot of rough stuff," Finn said.

"Rough stuff? Did you forget that you're talking to a girl in a wheelchair?" Quinn said.

Finn ignored that and hung up the poster. "Yeah, looks good."

"We've come full circle," Quinn said.

"Yeah, just like old times," Finn agreed.

"Though, to be clear, there will be no extracurricular activity this time," Quinn said. "I'm going to Yale, and there are no tire store majors there."

Finn was so tired of Quinn acting like she was better than everyone else because she was going to Yale. George W. Bush had gone to Yale, too. "Well, neither are there at the Actors Studio, where I'm applying."

A girl came over. "Oh, my God. Quinn Fabray... you're so brave to be doing this."

"Thank you," Quinn told the girl. "The atrophy in my leg is a constant reminder of the slow, withering remnants of my past life. The toll can, at times, be physically and emotionally hard, knowing that I may never walk again. People like you inspire me. Your healthy, normal legs are beautiful."

"You deserve this. You've got my vote," the girl said.

"Wow, that was super creepy," Finn thought out loud.

"It won't be when we're standing up on that stage soaking up the applause," Quinn said.

Finn was even more sure this was a mistake. "Don't you feel kind of weird using your injury to get the sympathy vote like that?"

"Votes are votes, Finn. Do you want to win or not?" Quinn snapped.

x

Prom night was underway, and Finn just wished they'd announce the winners already so he could go join Rachel at the anti-prom party. He wouldn't tell anyone, but he'd voted for Santana and Brittany as prom royalty. He had to admit, a girl couple as the prom royalty would be a pretty good statement for the school. Speaking of royalty - where was Quinn? Coach Sylvester told Finn she'd just left, so Finn went to the girls' restroom. When he stopped at the door, he looked and saw a wheelchair, but no girls. "Hello. Hey, Quinn, Quinn, you in here?" Quinn came out and to the sink. Quinn walked to the sink. She was hobbling, but she was still walking. "You... you can walk?" Finn gasped.

Quinn smiled awkwardly. "Yeah. Isn't it amazing? You're seeing me take my first steps."

Finn knew these weren't her first steps. He shook his head to let her know he knew she was lying. "So you lied to us. To everybody."

Quinn sat down in the wheelchair. "No, I mean, my legs are getting better, but I wanted it to be a surprise. You know, for when I walk up there and get my crown. The crowd will go wild. I really want this," she stuttered.

Finn tried to stop himself from completely losing it. Quinn had lied to him, cost him a senior prom with the girl he loved, guilt tripped him when she lied when she really could walk. "Yeah. You may want this, but Rachel needs me, and... and I picked you over her. Do you know how stupid that makes me feel?" Now he couldn't help but raise his voice. "You have everything. You're going to have your crown. You're going to go to Yale. Rachel has none of that. And tonight, thanks to you, she doesn't even have me."

"We're a shoo-in. I need you," Quinn wailed.

Finn couldn't help but raise his voice now. "No, you don't need me, okay? I thought going through all that terrible stuff this year made you cooler, but no, you're still the same old Quinn. All that matters is you." He started to leave the bathroom when Quinn called out.

"Come on, stop!" Quinn pleaded. "Please. Look, it's mandatory for the nominees to have at least one dance together. I know you don't understand how much this means to me, but... will you please just stay here for me? Please."

Quinn was right. It was mandatory. But he was so disgusted that he might not even stay for the coronation.

x

Rachel arrived at the hotel for the anti-prom. The only people she, Kurt and Blaine had managed to recruit to come along were Puck and Becky. Rachel had to admit, maybe this was a mistake. You only did get one senior prom... She tried to take her mind off things. "All right. Let the very first annual McKinley High Anti-Prom begin."

"Oh, look, there's chocolates on the pillows," Kurt said.

"We got room service," Blaine said.

Becky looked around the room. "Minibar! Whoo! Nice!"

"So, what should we do now?" Puck asked.

No one had planned anything. "Duh... play strip poker. I brought condoms," Becky said.

"Becky, Blaine and I are gay, remember?" Kurt reminded her.

"Never stopped me before," Becky said.

"Well, I mean, no matter what, it'll be better than prom," Rachel reasoned.

"Yeah! Who wants to be in that smelly old gym, anyway?" Kurt asked.

"Prom's a sucker's paradise," Puck said.

"Prom sucks! Let's get wasted! Whoo!" Becky shouted.

"Becky, Becky, we appreciate your enthusiasm, but will you just keep it down with the shouting?" Rachel said.

"Keep your big honking nose out of it, Berry! Oh, snap! Oh snap!" Becky shouted.

"So, I wouldn't mind watching a little TV. Um, maybe some Bravo?" Blaine suggested.

"Dude, it's a hotel. It's gotta be Skinemax," Puck pointed out.

"We could put on a fashion show!" Rachel said.

"Yeah! Let's go all Sound of Music and make some old-timey couture out of the drapes and bedsheets, huh?" Kurt suggested.

"Too gay!" Becky said.

"I second that," Puck said.

"Well, I'd love to show you guys my prom dress. I wouldn't want it to go completely to waste. It's in my car. I can go get it," Rachel admitted.

"Worst anti-prom ever!" said Becky. Rachel admitted, Becky had a point. She wished she were at the real prom, dancing with Finn.

x

Back at the real prom, Finn stood on the dance floor opposite Quinn in her wheelchair. Finn couldn't stop thinking about what he'd discovered in the bathroom. Quinn had spoiled prom for him and Rachel with her lies. Instead of dancing with the girl he loved, he was in this situation.

"It's just once dance, can you finish it with me?" Quinn complained.

Sure, Finn would finish it, if Quinn would reveal the truth. "Yeah, I will... as soon as you stand up and show everybody how much you deserve this, how much you deserve to be Prom Queen."

"Are you really doing this right now?" Quinn demanded.

"What, making you walk? Make you stand up and show everybody how much of a crazy liar you are? Yeah. Come on. Stand up!" Finn shouted.

Joe came over. "What's going on, dude?"

Finn turned to Joe. "Did you know that she could walk, too? You must have with all that physical therapy you've been giving."

"Hey, just finish the dance with me!" Quinn whined.

Finn tried to help Quinn out of the wheelchair. "Stand the hell up! Come on!"

Joe pushed Finn away. "What is wrong with you?!"

Coach Sylvester ran over. "Hey, hey, hey! You forcing me to eject you from yet another prom, Hudson?"

"Not this time, Coach," Finn mumbled. He wasn't staying for this. He was going to go see if Rachel would be up to coming after all. If he ended up winning prom king, he'd decline it so he wouldn't have to dance with another girl. He just went to his car and drove to the motel.

Finn Hudson: Not this time, Coach.

x

As Rachel changed into her prom dress, she thought that maybe Santana was right. Maybe she was being a little petty. It was just one dance Finn would have had to do with Quinn. The rest of the evening would be hers to spend with Finn. This was a mistake. No one was having any fun at the party she'd planned.

Rachel looked at herself in the mirror and then started to leave the bathroom. "All right, let's let the anti-prom fashion extravaganza begin..." she stopped when she saw who was there.

"Hi," Finn said.

"What are you doing here?" Rachel asked.

"Well, I'll keep it simple. I love you. You're beautiful. Prom sucks without you." Finn leaned in and kissed Rachel, handing her a corsage. Then he turned to the rest of the group. "Prom sucks without all of you, guys. This is the last t time we're gonna get to be together like this. I want to dance with my fiancé, dance with my friends."

"Well, I'll just pretend to be an iceculpture if Brittany sees me, and then she'll just pass me by," Blaine said as he and Kurt stood up.

"So, you guys gonna come?" Rachel asked Puck and Becky.

"Not until I get my shrimp cocktail," Becky said.

"I'm good, you guys go ahead," Puck said. "I'll go next year."

Finn, Rachel, Kurt and Blaine left for the prom. When they arrived, Brittany came up to them. "I'm so glad you guys came."

"Better late than never, right?" Finn said.

"Come on, let's dance," Rachel said to Finn.

Finn took Rachel's hand as they went to the dance floor. "I missed you for the first part of the night," Finn said.

"I missed you too," Rachel said.

"How was the anti-prom?" Finn asked.

"It didn't go so well," Rachel admitted. "No one could agree on what to do."

"Oh dear," Finn said.

"Yeah," Rachel said. "I'm glad I'm here now."

"We finally get a prom together," Finn said. "Sorry if I'm stepping on your feet."

"Finn, you've become a much better dancer," Rachel said as she kissed Finn.

"Quinn kept yelling at me last year when I stepped on her feet," Finn said.

Quinn. Rachel probably owed her an apology. "Finn, I've got to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back, okay?"

Finn kissed Rachel's head. "Okay."

Rachel sent Quinn a text to meet her in the hall. She went to the hall, where Quinn was waiting. "Hey, I got your text. You have three minutes. The voting has started, and I need to get out there and press the flesh," Quinn said.

"Look, I owe you an apology," Rachel admitted. "I found out that you and Finn were campaigning together, and I kind of freaked out. I got really jealous and irrational, I just, I should have been supportive."

"Well, since I had no idea that was going on, it's pretty easy to forgive you. So I'm glad we cleared this up," Quinn said.

Rachel still felt like she hadn't made up for her behavior earlier this week. "Wait. Do you not understand what you mean to me? When we first met, you were everything I wanted to be: You were beautiful and popular, and you had Finn."

"How the mighty have fallen," Quinn said.

Rachel had to admit, the problem was that at the beginning of the week was that she was still seeing Quinn that way. "No, you don't understand. I still see you the same way, okay? That's why I got so crazy. Because I wasn't seeing the new Quinn. The still-beautiful, but humbled and inspiring Quinn. I've lost so much over these past few weeks. And I honestly don't know what the hell I'm gonna do to do with my life. But when I look back on my high school career the one thing, the one accomplishment that I'm gonna be so proud of is that I found a way to be your friend." Well, maybe that wasn't entirely true. Finn was the one thing she would cherish most. "So I'm apologizing to my friend. And I also want you to know that I voted for you for Prom Queen. And I really think you deserve it."

Santana passed the girls. "Stop making out with Berry and get to the Spanish room, Quinn. It's time to count the votes and declare me the winner."

What the hell was that supposed to mean? "Bye," Rachel said. "Good luck."

When Rachel returned to the gym, Finn turned to her. "What took so long?"

"I ran into Quinn, and I had to apologize," Rachel said.

"Rachel, don't worry about it, it was wrong of me," Finn said. "I should have asked you first."

"I understand why you did it," Rachel said. "She's wanted this for a while."

x

A little while later, Principal Figgins came on stage. The prom nominees were waiting in the wings to come on stage, and soon the winners would be announced. Rachel was hanging out with Blaine and Kurt while she waited. "First I have an announcement to make: there are reptiles living in McKinley toilets no more. The family of snakes has been safely removed to the zoo, and they can life out their lives in the toilets there. And now, this year's Prom Court: Nominees for the Prom King are: Finn Hudson, Rick "The Stick" Nelson and President Brittany S. Pierce. The nominees for Prom Queen: Missy Gunderson, Santana Lopez and Quinn Fabray." Each person came on stage as Figgins read their names. "I would like to invite last year's queen, sassy male student Kurt Hummel, to crown this year's winners," Figgins said. Kurt looked annoyed as he went on stage. Figgins reached for an envelope. "And... this year's Prom King is... Hmm... Mr. Finn Hudson."

Rachel cheered as Finn was crowned. She reminded herself that he'd only have to dance once with the girl who won prom queen. "And the winner for Prom Queen is..." Figgins began. "Students, for the second year in a row, we have prom anarchy. Receiving the majority of write-in votes, I would like to welcome on the stage... Miss Rachel Berry."

Rachel? She'd won prom queen? What if this was like what happened to Kurt last year? She walked to the stage, worried she might get booed. The crowd was applauding, but she still felt unsure about this. Kurt walked over to crown Rachel. "Just smile and breathe," he whispered.

"McKinley Titans, bow down to your new leaders! And now... first dance of this year's Senior King and Queen!" Figgins said.

The students applauded as Finn and Rachel went to the dance floor. "Is this some kind of joke or something? I mean, like Kurt last year, is someone going to throw pig's blood on me next, like in Carrie?"

Finn looked at Rachel. "Look at me. You're sexy, you're beautiful, you're an inspiration to every single person in this room, just like you are to me. From where you began, to where you are now... you're amazing."

Rachel leaned in to kiss Finn. "Really?"

"Yes," Finn continued. "You look so amazing tonight. No girl could look better in that crown. But it's more than that. You've grown up so much. You've become such an amazing person. I remember you thought no one liked you at one point and now look where you are."

"Wow," Rachel said. "I couldn't have come this far without you."

"I'm so lucky to have you," Finn said.

"I'm the lucky one," Rachel said. "I love you so much."

"This is only the first big dance we'll have together," Finn said. "We have our wedding soon."

"And I can't wait," Rachel said. "Never in a million years did I think someone like me would win prom queen. But if my friends believe in me enough to see me this way, I don't know, maybe anything's possible."
