Why Normal Dinners are Overrated!
Uryu's POV
After talking to Szayel, I found the confidence to go the dinner and make myself attractive in front of Ichigo! Two little words were all it took. "Sit pretty," he'd said. Who knew it would be that simple? Alright... maybe it's not that simple. I don't know how to do that! "Uryu!" I heard Ryuken call from downstairs. "Come on, we're leaving!" Anxiety came over me. Why can't he give me time to change clothes at least? Or will that make me seem like I'm trying too hard? Good call, old man, good call. "I'll be down in a sec!"
Ichigo's POV
Yuzu asked me to help her with cooking the desserts, for a reason only god knows, and I decided to do so. It was better than pacing nervously around my bedroom. I don't really understand why I was pacing in the first place. I've met Uryu twice already. The first time wasn't so fun, I blame Renji and Keigo for that. The second time was... awkward. This is the real first impression and I refuse to mess this up. "Oh~ my son! Can't you feel the excitement in the air? My good friend is coming over!" my shameful father cheered aloud. "Come, Karin! Dance with me," he held his hand out to my sister, who completely ignored him. "Go away, you old creep!" she growled at him. "No! A father should always dance with daughter!" Dad argued.
"Go away!"
"No!"
"DAD!" I finally screamed at him. "Go sit in the living room until the Ishidas come over! I mean it!"
"WAAAH! My own son hates me! MASAKI! Where did I go wrong with my kids?" he screamed and ran into the living room. I bet you five bucks that he's going in their to cower over the portrait of my mother that he hides in there... Yes, very creepy. I know.
"Ichigo? Did you hear the doorbell ring?" Yuzu asked me. I was very tempted to say "No, I couldn't hear anything over my heartbeat!", so instead I shook my head. "Karin, can you go and see?" I asked her. She waved her hand off as if to say "No, I'm good." Yuzu and I growled at her. "You lazy mother-"
"MY RYUKEN!" Dad screamed, drowning out my curses. "Ok, here this goes," I take in a deep breath and walk into the living room.
Uryu's POV
Despite my brain telling me not to, I laughed when Ryuken was ambushed by Isshin when he walked into the Kurosaki household. His face was so red I almost thought he was a tomato. "Let go of me, you animal!" he screamed, punching at the man's back. Isshin wasn't hearing it, however. "Oh, Ryuken! I promise you, my friend, you and your boy will eat until your bellies are full and happy!" he cheered. "Will there be any alcoholic beverages?" Ryuken asked with this hopeful look, I know he's trying to hide it, in his eyes. "Of course! I bought our favorite brand of saké!" "Can I try some?" I piped in. The two men glared at me. "Hell no!" they said in unison. "I only have two bottle and I planned to give it with Ryuken," Isshin pouted. Ryuken wiggled out of his grip enough to smack him in the back of hte head. "That is not what I meant, you moron!"

Ichigo, Ryuken, and Karin sat in front of Yuzu, Isshin, and me. The food in front of us looked so delicious I couldn't wait to dig in. "Alright, everyone! Eat up and don't be afraid to ask for more," Yuzu said. We all dug into the food, Isshin and Ichigo a little more than necessary. Now's the time to put the "Sit pretty" plan into action. I ate a small and flavorful bite of the salmon the little girl made. It really was good! "This is amazing, Yuzu," I praised when I swallowed the food. "Thank you so much," Yuzu smiled as she ate her food. "It's no trouble, Uryu! I've really missed talking to you," Karin muttered in agreement. "Yeah! It's seriously boring just talking to that bonehead of a brother!" she turned to my father. "Mr. Ishida, can we trade?" she asked. Ryuken looked as if he were actually thinking about it. "Karin! Are you kidding?" Ichigo growled. "I don't know..." Ryuken smirked. "His orange hair really bothers me," Everyone, except Ichigo, laughed at that. "Ryuken! That was so mean!" Isshin giggled. Ichigo huffed and turned to me. "Aren't you going to defend me?" he grumbled out. "I mean, aren't you my best frie- " "That reminds me of the time when Uryu was crying and my brave son came over to cheer him up with a big and brotherly hug! That is true friendship!" Isshin interrupted him. "Isshin, if your going to tell the story then tell it right! It was Uryu that hugged Ichigo when he was crying," Ryuken said calmly, sipping his sake. "Oh shut up!" Isshin yelled, chugging down his own drink. Then, it was an all out war between those two. Ryuken and Isshin downed their bottles of saké after about five minutes. I've never seen Ryuken so drunk before. I mean, he's been drunk before, but never completely wasted. Ichigo frowned at the two men in the same way I was.
"I... I can't believe that you almost stood me up for at prom, Ryuken!" Isshin slurred. Ryuken scoffed at him. "I did not, you imbecile! You made us late with all your talk of 'Oh Ryuken! Can we not use a condom this time?' and I had to... wait... or was that homecoming?" Ryuken mumbled in thought. Ichigo facepalmed. "I did not want to hear that," he and Karin complained. Yuzu just looked confused. I was trying not to laugh at my idiotic father. Every fiber in being wanted to videotape this and sent it Szayel. "That was homecoming, Ryu~! Prom was sooo uber wonderful~! Everyone loved seeing that Kurosaki Hime in that beautiful-" Ryuken chucked a piece of salmon at the man. "Didn't I tell you not to talk about that!" he growled. Isshin frowned and threw the piece back at him. "That's it!" Karin and Ichigo screamed, standing up at from their spots at the table. I stared up at the them, wondering what they would do. "I'm leaving these old bastards to wallow in their drunken misery." Karin grabbed Yuzu's hand and got the poor girl out of the dining area. Ichigo reached out his hand towards me. "Would you like to leave, too? I doubt you'll be going home any time soon," he said, angrily eyeing our fathers. I took his hand and stood up. "I'm just disappointed." I say, sighing. Ichigo arched his brow. "Why?" "I just can't believe Ryuken was provoked into this so easily. He must have a really soft spot for this guy," Ichigo chuckled at that. "Yeah, but let's go up to my room and leave these old geezers alone,"
"WHO SAID I WAS OLD?!" the two screamed. "Yep, we should definitely get going," Ichigo pulls me out of the room, leaving Ryuken and Isshin alone.
Uh-oh! Alone in Ichigo's room? What's happening there?
