The explosion occurred inside the underground, spreading reddish-pinkish smoke around, and making the rubbles collapsed to the ground. However, if it weren't for Shimmering-Sky's Everything Shield, then more likely everyone in this cave would be crushed.
"Well that went well," Akane said sarcastically between coughed, "Our authoress completely screwed up the plan."
Yusei coughed through the smoke and looked up in confusion, "Wait, what plan?"
The purple OC was the first the answer. "Apparently, that Sakuradite the authoress used earlier was going to be used as the escape plan inside the Dark Signer Lair after we managed to get Aki and the others out of there. But since a) we stumbled at the Monster Drop House, and b) Shimmering-Sky's muses completely left us with the Dark Signers, and c) the three muses took Jack, Crow, and Bruno as hostages and also stole the Earthbound Immortals, I guessed she lost her control of her anger and wasted the bomb on this."
"Wait, why didn't any of you tell us about this?" Rua asked.
"So it won't raise some suspicions among us," Crystal replied.
"The only problem is that thanks to her action, we're stuck in this area," Aoi groaned, pointing around to show that the group was now surrounded by giant rubbles, with no exits.
"…Wait! Mcdinh is not with us!" Joeseph suddenly spoke out.
That got everyone to jumped up and started searching and digging around for the authoress of this fan fiction. They kept doing that until the dark hair OC named Yuna found a black rimmed glasses on the ground.
"This…" Yuna felt her hand shaken as she lifted up a pair of glasses, "…This belongs to Mcdinh."
There was a death moment of silence before the tears broke out from the group, mainly from the OCs.
"WAAAAH! I can't believe it! Our authoress is dead!" Crystal cried.
Aoi, being the only Mcdinh's OC not crying, tried to comfort them, though seemed to ready to break from the inside as well. The rest of the group tried to comfort them.
"There, there, there," Sky said soothingly, "I know how you feel. I would break down crying as well if I found out she die, despite how much I hate my authoress for torturing so much."
The golden hair OC earned a 'Hey!' from the authoress at the last sentence. Then, Shimmering-Sky turned to Mcdinh's OCs, "Well don't worry you four. I can always adopt you as my own OCs."
"HELL NO!" Mcdinh's OCs retorted.
Shim got taken back and sweat dropped, "Aw…you don't have to yell."
"I hate to say this, but save the mourning for later," Sherry interrupted, "How do we get out of this place?"
Before anyone can reply, another explosion occurred near the rubbles, revealing two figures nearby the now open exit. One of them looked like the older version of Joeseph, Shim's youngest muses, except he was dressed up a Apollo Justice from the Ace Attorneys (…was he cosplaying?). Then, there was a woman who looked a lot like Maya Fey, who was also from Ace Attorney, except she had blonde hair with a giant red flower on it. Plus, her outfit was red instead of purple.
"Well that takes care of the works," The mysterious man said.
Everyone looked confused as they stared at the two people, but their eyes widened, because slung over the mysterious man's shoulder was no doubt Mcdinh herself, unconscious.
"OH MY GOD! MCDINH!"
Everyone gathered around as the Joeseph's older look alike placed the authoress on the ground. Turned out she was still alive and breathing. However, there was blood on the side of the head, possibly because one of the rocks fell on her. Then, the group turned to the mysterious people.
"Thank you so much, but who are you two and how did you find her?" Yusei asked.
"We were passing by in this place, only to stumble upon the explosion your friend made," The mysterious woman answered.
"Frankly, we were almost killed because of that," the man added, "Plus, we managed to dig her out of the rubbles, only to have a minor injury in head."
"Did you cause the explosion?" Crystal asked, and they nodded. "How?"
"…"
"…"
"…Anyway, thanks for saving her I guess," Aoi replied, breaking the awkward silence. Then, the mysterious blonde woman turned to Shimmering-Sky.
"Thena…"
Shimmer blinked in confusion, "Huh?"
"So you're Thena, huh?"
"…Why are you calling me 'Thena'?"
"I don't know. Probably because we feel like it," The mysterious man said.
Shim gave them the 'look', "Well neither of you are Juniper Woods, so stop calling me that."
There was a pause before the woman spoke again, "Then we shall call you 'Athena'."
Shimmering-Sky sweat dropped, "Oh boy…"
Everyone else stared at Shim.
"Is Athena is your real name?" Yusei asked.
"No. And don't ask what it is, because I'm not going to answer it," Shim replied.
"Then why are they calling you that?"
"I have no idea. Though I feel like I'm playing too much of Ace Attorney lately," Shim mumbled.
Then, the group turned back to the mysterious couple.
"Anyway, we should be heading back now. Hope to see you again." The mysterious blonde woman said. Then, the smoke spread and made the mysterious duo disappeared, leaving the rescue group into the blank stares.
"Well, that was weird," Rua said.
Suddenly, the authoress, Mcdinh, woke up, looked around in daze, and rubbed her head. "Ugh…what just happened?"
Later in the Dark Signer hideaway, all the hostages were tied up in the corner of the room, and the Dark Signers (including three of Shimmering-Sky's muses) were enjoying tying and hanging Crow and Jack on the ceiling, and put them…over the giant pot of cheese fondue?
"Myehehehe! This the best of my life!" Lucy grinned like a maniac villain, and her Dark Signer eyes flashed brightly, yet eerily.
"Indeed! We should eat them once they dropped into the fondue!" Meri exclaimed. That got the orange hair and blonde hair duelists to cringed.
"Great…We just learned that they're cannibals," Jack muttered. Suddenly, a pair of scissors was thrown at him, and nearly hit his head because he ducked.
"We're just kidding Atlas," Meri assured, "But we have something else far better than that!"
"Hmm…" Shade hummed as he watched his friends torturing the casts. On the other side of the room, Rudger and his Dark Signer companions watched the scene.
"Hmm, interesting," Rudger said, "Perhaps recruiting them is a good idea after all."
"Heh, gotta thank me for that," Dark Signer Kiryu said, "Although, I wished they would leave some fun for us."
Suddenly, the room shook violently, causing everyone to jump up in panic. Before anyone can ask what was going on, the ceiling broke out, making the rubbles and smoke fell due to the impact. Then, the smoke subsided, revealing Mcdinh and the rest of the gang on the back of the Rayquaza.
"Games over, Rudger! Now hand over the prisoners if you want to spare your life!" Mcdinh demanded. Then, she paused a bit, "Actually, take that back. Your life will not be spared because one, you convince the three muses to your side, and two, you got the Earthbound Immortals back without even returning our friends."
"She does have the point here, y'know," Shim agreed.
The Dark Signer leader laughed, "I'm afraid that's not an option."
"Oh, but we'll make it an option," Kiryu added, "Especially if we want to deal with the crazed psycho maniac here!"
"You wanna fight, bro?" His evil twin, taunted.
"Bring it!"
Suddenly, the fist fight ensues between the two Kiryus, causing a comical smoke to appear and everyone else stared at them blankly.
"Should we…" Sky asked.
"Nah. Let them." Mcdinh answered and turned to the rest of the maniac group, "As for the others…Rayquaza, GET THEM!"
The green dragon roared and flew towards the Dark Signers.
"Kitty, fight them back!" Meri shouted as she threw a poke ball, revealing a Giratina. Soon, the two dragons engage in the Pokemon Battle, though neither Mcdinh or Meri gave out commands because…well…they know how to handle it themselves. At first, it was neck to neck, but because of Giratina's signature moves, the demon dragon managed to gain advantage over the Sky High Pokemon. That was when Mcdinh's eyes flared up in frustration and held up her left wrist, which contained a black bracelet over it. On the center of the bracelet have some sort of the colorful symbol on it. She gently tapped the center of the bracelet, causing the stone in the middle to shine brightly. Then, Rayquaza began to shine brightly as well and roared. Once the light faded, its appearance changed.
Its body grew longer and had tendrils grown from its V-shaped horn. Its eyes changed to bloody red and had golden orbs placed to where the circular patterns were. It became clear to everyone else that Rayquaza had just turned into a Mega Rayquaza!
"WHAT?!" Meri screeched.
"Rayquaza, finished this!" Mcdinh command.
The newly formed Rayquaza struck the Giratina with its lighting attacks, making the demon Pokemon unable to battle. As Meri returned Giratina to the Pokeball, she pouted.
"No fair! Why does your Pokemon able learn the Mega Evolution?!" Meri cried.
"Because they can! Suck it up!" Mcdinh said.
"Hmph. Whatever, we're not going anywhere!" Lucy said. Soon, fires surrounded her, while dark auras spread around Shade, and Meri held out her scissors.
"Maybe this will change your mind!" Shimmering-Sky said. Then, she started humming.
"…Wait, what are you doing?" Crystal asked.
"Just watch," Shimmering-Sky's OC told her.
Shimmering-Sky continued to hum the song of "Reminiscence ~ Tragic Memories" from the Ace Attorney, causing one of her muses to react to it somewhat…emotionally.
"Beautiful…" Shade murmured, "The murder…Athen Cykes…the Phantom…loss of true face…ngh…"
Then, he passed out.
"…That was weird," Someone said while Joeseph dragged Shade's body away.
"Hmph. You gotta do better than that to return to your side!" Meri said.
"Really?" Shim said, "Then how about this?"
Suddenly, Shim wiped out a 3Ds, making Mcdinh wondered where did she get that. Then, the music played, which seemed to come from the ending of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. The blonde girl started shaking.
"No…stop it…Stop torturing me with Claire!" Meri shouted. Suddenly, Shim turned up the volume, making Meri cried even more, "WAAAHHHH! STOP IT! No…no…GAAAHHH! DON'T GO! CLAIRE, COME BACK!"
Shim stopped the music, "Hey Meri! If you come back to our side, I'll let you kill Bill Hawks."
Meri's eyes lighten up in excitement, "Really?!" Shim nodded.
"Yahoo!" Suddenly, Meri changed back to her normal self and returned to Mcdinh's side.
"Hmph. Wimps!" Lucy said, "Not even the beautiful music like that can change my mind."
"Really? None of these work?" Shim kept playing the music, which Lucy held little or no response. Shim finally turned off the 3Ds (due to low battery) and smirked, "Then you can just forget about being Edgeworth in our trials."
That got Lucy's left eye to twitched uncontrollably, "What…did…you…say?"
"You can't become Miles Edgeworth," Shim said.
After a long moment of silence, Lucy's eyes glowed dangerously red and shouted, "NO! I am EDGEWORTH!"
Suddenly, she returned to the Dark Signer, whom jumped back in response, and did some dangerous things that could've bump this story to rated M, such as explosions, cutting limbs, and some other horrible scenarios.
Later…
"…Well that takes of them!" Mcdinh said, staring at the young pale hair girl who was grinning like a maniac, because earlier, she killed off each and everyone of the Dark Signers in their own…apparent deaths. Oh, earlier, the normal Kiryu got tired of fist fighting and shot his dark counterpart in the chest, so…yeah…Dark Signer Kiryu was dead. Then, she faced Shimmering-Sky, "Anyway, thanks for coming to help us. Wanna try some of my special Vietnamese cuisine as a thank you?"
Shim hummed, "Mmm. Thanks, but maybe next time. My muses and I…well…have some trial to take care of. But hopefully we'll see you again!"
Mcdinh nodded and waved at Shimmering-Sky, her muses, and her OC as they head to the portal that will return them to their place.
"I guess we all better head back too," Crystal said.
"Yeah," Mcdinh agreed.
"Aren't we forgetting something?" Yusei asked, pointing to Crow and Jack, who were still tied up over the cheese fondue and bickering something meaningless…not that the authoress was concerned.
"Mmm. Nah. Let's go. I want some phở now." Mcdinh said.
Everyone agreed and head back to Mcdinh's place. Both Jack and Crow notice them leaving and shouted, "HEY! GET US DOWN HERE!"
Author's note: And that's the end of the Dark Signer Mishap. It's back to the requests. Oh, those two mysterious character from the beginning of the chapter had to do with Shimmering-Sky's next chapter of the fanfic called Shimmer, so come check it out while you can. I guarantee you'll like it! And no, I don't know what she was going to do with them. R&R. ;)
