Uryu's POV
Tired. Again, I'm tired. This time, those horrible stairs aren't to blame. After lunch was over, I had to do stupid errands for "Lady Student Council President". I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. It's only my second day in this colossal war museum they call a school! How am I supposed to know where the "World Studies Committee" classroom is? Or the "English to Japanese Translators" Club? Did you know that those aren't even rooms? They're trailers that are, like, 500 kilometers away from the school! By the time everything was finished, the school day had ended. I didn't get to meet my last two teachers. Well, I guess that could be taken as a good thing. My last two classes were Pre-Calculus and Physics, the most impossible subjects to ever comprehend. So, in a way, this involuntary exercise saved my brain from possible overload. Another upside to the whole "running around" thing was that I constantly passed by the rugby team practicing in the fields just outside the trailers. Each time I walked passed, Ichigo would wink at me. Sadly, so would Keigo. No, Keigo would blow kisses at me whenever he saw me! Can you say "creepy"?
The day was over before I finished all my chores, or "faithful studious duty" as Rukia calls it, and I have to finish them all the next day! Damn it! What human can stand all of this moving, lifting, and MORE MOVING? Honestly, when I walked into my house, all I wanted to do was lay on the couch. Ichigo offered me a ride home, with a sexy smile might I add. With him being the sweet boy that he is, how could I refuse him? However, before I could formally accept this invitation, the ever-so-much-cockblocking-Keigo swoops in and says "No, Umeko! Why don't I take you home?" So, I had to happily decline them both. Damn that Keigo!
When I walked through the door after that long ass walk from school, I expected to see an empty couch I could flop on. What I didn't expect to see was my stern and manly father curled up into the couch, screaming his head off. Was this strange? Very, thank you for asking. I didn't know whether to ask what the problem was or call animal control. "Ryuken?" I called out to him. He didn't move or even acknowledge that I was home. "Ryuken Ishida! What in the hell is wrong with you?" I screamed over his voice. His body quickly sat up and he looked at me with tears falling down his face. This would be troubling if he didn't have a huge ass donkey smile accompanied by those tears. "Isshin's taking me out to dinner on Saturday!" he squealed suddenly, making me jump a little. I frowned. "He's taking you on a date?" Now he mirrored the frown. "No! It's just a friendly get together with an old friend, Uryu. Nothing. Else. To. It!"
"Yesh, Ryuken, that must be it. You're getting all tingly with butterflies inside because of a 'friendly get together'. Just admit that he asked you out already, ok?" I sighed. A faint blush ran across his cheeks and he turned his face away from me. My eyes widened. "No. Freaking. Way!" I squealed, running up to him and shaking his shoulders. "You still have feelings for that teddy bear bastard! Why haven't you told him?" Ryuken shook his head. "I'll save that story for another time."
Ichigo's POV
I watched in pure and utter terror as my father danced and sang around the kitchen. Now, part of me wanted to just walk away slowly. However, my curiosity got the best of me. "Old man, what's the special occasion?" I asked him. He stopped his dancing and '"OOOOOOH~! WHAT A HAPPY DAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY~!"-ing long enough to flash me a huge smile. I've seen the man smile before, but it was never like this. "I'm going on a date with Ryuken on Saturday!" Wait a minute, did I hear that right? He did say "date" and "Ryuken", right? "Dad, what?" I managed to say. "I asked out my Ryuken to dinner to rekindle that old flame of passion that once was ours~! Oh~my son! Sing with me!" he then broke into song before I could ask him some more question. It's never a good idea to interrupt this guy when he sings. Especially if it's his favorite song "Asterisk". "DAD!" I screamed over his singing. "Does Ryuken know this is date?" Dad smiled and waved his hand. "Of course he does! It's rather obvious, isn't it?"
"How do you know that he even still has feelings for you?" I offered.
"I don't! That's why I asked him out~! C'mon Ichigo! Sing one verse with me~!"
And with that said, I quickly escaped to the safety of my bedroom.
A/N HEYY! Did you know that me and Ryuken have THE SAME BIRTHDAY? March 14th! I'm serious! Look it up!
