In the Fairy Realm

"Why are you all tongue tied?" Senkrad asked. "It's just little old me."

Everyone was murmuring and the word fena kept coming up.

"What is the meaning of this!" the Fairy Queen yelled.

"Why are you so upset? We used to have so much fun back in the days before humans existed, Inahli."

Everyone gasped.

"Get out of here, Hain." the Fairy Queen said.

"See we're back on a first name basis. I prefer my maiden name though" Senkrad said.

The Fairy Queen's gaze was fixed on a necklace around Senkrad's neck.

"I-I-It c-can't be." the Fairy Queen stuttered.

"Oh you like it? An old family heir loom. Didn't you have one like it?" Senkrad asked

"Why aren't you in Zzyzzx?"

"Oh. To that I must thank the lovely Bila."

"Um...i'm sorry what was your name again? Oh right, Madam Oropsu right?" Bila asked

"Still so sassy." Senkrad hissed.

"How did you get here?!" the Fairy Queen repeated with a little less composure.

"Oh right. After Bila here defeated me I retreated into this place thinking that you'd probably kill my family. So I summoned a protected castle, it's a thing every demon queen can do, and planned to make a comeback. But you didn't kill everyone from the old prison so I decided to get a few of the old dark talismans like this one." Senkrad indicated her necklace. "And free all of them. The demon hoard will rise once again and wipe out mankind."

"Have you ever seen a movie?" Bila asked. "Why do villains have to monologue everything It's always their downfall. Now if we escape we know what you'll be up to."

"You see though, You won''t escape. I've put up a shield-"

"Monologue."

Senkrad continued as if she hadn't been interrupted "-I have set up a barrier so nobody can escape and I have the old mirror that my grandmother, Regina, had."

"Enough!" Soguk yelled. "Frost giants! KILL THEM!"

The frost giants grew icy swords and charged but Soguk stayed back and sent ice at the enemy that skewered, froze or crushed a few demons but they hadn't even started attacking yet. The other light creatures charged. The satyrs, dryads and pretty much everything but the fairies, astrids and unicorns attacked. Sirens sung melodies that each caused different things to happen. Kissiae turned the ivy and flowers into weapons. Dryads used table legs and chairs. Nereids turned the water from the fountains into spiked spheres that a few frost giants froze for a little extra kick. Mermaids grew tails, talons and fangs and charged. The enemies still stayed still as statues, some even willingly excepted death.

"Okay, kill them." Senkrad said monotonously.

The dark creatures attacked and easily outclassed their foes.

Kendra wanted to help but she had a feeling that she couldn't

"It's pointless." the Fairy Queen said in her mind. "When I attack try get everyone to the shrines."

"What?" Kendra asked but she realized all the fairies, unicorns and astrids got the same message.

The Fairy Queen walked towards Senkrad but kept about ten feet in between them.

The Fairy Queen said "Isık ve iyi!" and a blast of white light that had everything light inside it:Unicorns, love, hope, purity. Senkrad laughed and said "You know what happened last time right? Karanlık ve kotu!" a blast of black an red darkness was sent out:Evil, greed, envy, demons, hellhonds, basilisks, avarice, fire, fear that intercepted the Fairy Queens's.

"Now!" the Fairy Queen commanded and the unicorns shed their avatars and turned into their horse forms, the fairies regrew their wings and they sent out a blinding flash of energy.

Kendra felt it. The dark, suppressing barrier was down and Senkrad couldn't repair it unless she wanted to get hit by the Fairy Queen's blast.

"The shrines." Bila told Kendra before she vanished in a cloud of white smoke.

Kendra focused intently on the image of the hallway that led out to the courtyard of the castle and willed herself there.

"The Fablehaven shrine is that one. They'll be destroyed soon so hurry." Elmas said, pointing at a wooden fairy that was bowing.

Kendra walked over to it and remembered something. She concentrated really hard on Walt's face and summoned him to her in a flash of light.

"Um. Why am I here." He asked when he saw all the chaos, it seemed everyone was at the shrines even Soguk who seemed a bit too prideful and bloodthirsty to like that fleeing was her only option.

"You have to get to safety." Kendra told him.

"What?"

"Just go."

"Alright."

Walt walked to a shrine that led to somewhere in Cuba.

Kendra looked at the shrine and exerted some of the raw magic inside her toward it. The shrine stood up and opened a gateway of circular light that showed Fablehaven:the valley where Bahumat was trapped, the Inverted Tower, the tennis court, Nero's cliff, the old manor and the main house.

Kendra jumped straight in and found herself on the island in the pond. She was home and it was late in the afternoon by the look of the sky.

Kendra opened the gates to the boathouse and sent a boat her way.

"If any of you try to tip over this boat." Kendra said making electricity crackle in her palm. "You get fried. Understood?"

The naiads all made indignant comments but none of them interrupted her journey across the pond. When Kendra got across the pond she felt a little dizzy from all the magic she'd used since teleportation, exerting magic that has no purpose to control it and artificial electricity, artificial since fairy magic can't control elements, were all extremely strenuous. But she made the walk home at a good pace before she looked behind her and saw the shrine blow up.

Kendra walked home ,which should be considered some kind of magic on its own since she was in eight inch espadrilles and a tight and long gown, and knocked on the kitchen door where her grandmothers were most likely cooking.

Her mom opened the door and hugged her "Oh Kendra! You've grown and you look so beautiful."

"It's good to see you too mom." Kendra said with tears threatening to spill from her eyes, she hadn't seen her mom in what felt like a year.

"Kendra?" Grandma Sorenson said.

"Hi Grandma." Kendra said. "Mom, I'm glad to see you but can you let me go please?"

"Oh. Sorry." Marla said.

5 minutes later the whole family was saying hi and how much they'd missed her and how she better not ever leave like that again.

Seth came in followed by four people had never seen before, one of them literally glowed.

"Kendra your back." Seth said running up to her and gave her a hug.

"If I'm not mistaken it sounds like you're happy about that." Kendra said.

"I'm not but I miss having someone to make fun of."

"Who are you four." Kendra asked.

They introduced themselves but Kendra mainly focused on Sora, the one with the jet black hair and eyes that looked like the night sky with stars and constellations in them,.

"I have some news." Kendra said. "The Iyi yer has ben conquered." Kendra saw how everyone looked at her and said "The Fairy Realm."

Mostly everyone gasped, mainly Alisa.

"How?" Grandpa asked.

"An evil queen took over." Kendra said.

"Like from Snow White?" Seth asked.

"No, the demon queen."

"There's a demon queen?" Seth sounded like he didn't think the queen was that scary.

"Yes and comparing her to Gorgrog is like comparing a toddler to Einstein."

Kendra told them the story but fell asleep before she got to the part about everyone fleeing.
