Chapter 16

Bonnie started up the motor to her new car after Candace put the gas of her step-dad's lawnmower into the tank.

"So are you ready for the mysterious and exciting world at shopping at Club Banana at this Goo...Gege... ugh...the name of that mall is a tongue twister!" Bonnie asked before flubbing at the name of the mall.

"The Googolplex Mall, and I have to do one other thing as well!" Candace said, holding a pair of binoculars.

"And that would be to...?" Bonnie questioned.

"Seeing my precious Jeremy at Slushy Dawg! He's sooooo cute and adorable! I'm so going to hold him in my arms for the dance tonight!"

"You can see this Jeremy person after we buy the clothes!" Bonnie replied, listing the first priority as the new look for Candace's outfit.

Bonnie pulled the car out of the Flynn-fletcher parking lot and drove it with her redheaded occupant that, luckily, was not like Kim. In her mind, Candace had much more of a life than Kim did, but she had to upgrade the wardrobe.

"I gotcha, Bonnie. So why don't you like Kim?" Candace wondered.

"First of all, she wears the same outfit pretty much every day to school. Second, she always does the 'save the world' thing from freakos! That blue troll Possible usually deals with even had clones of myself wearing that stupid mission outfit, for goodness sakes! " Bonnie explained what had happened during her freshman year at Middleton High. "And thirdly, she's always with the lowest and most pathetic loser in the entire school!"

"You mean that Stoppable loser and that mole rat?" Candace guessed.

"Exactly! It all started on the very first day of seventh grade at Middleton Junior High!"

(The 12 1/2 year old Bonnie enters into Middleton Junior High wearing a nice blue dress, dangling blue hoop earrings, and blue flats. She was in the math wing of the school, prior to the lunch period.)

Bonnie: I entered into Middleton Jr. High, looking all ready, for that day was Picture Day. It was a Rockwaller family tradition that we had to look our best for school picture days.

Candace: I bet you were totally awesome!

B: I had everything set for my reign to begin at the junior high level, captain of the cheer squad and a fashionable first-day outfit...that is, until Miss Tin Teeth came along!

(The 12-yr old Kim, whom wore the same top as she did on that fateful day of her first mission but with blue jeans, was skipping down the hallway, full of energy, and smiling with her braces.)

B: Truth be told, I wasn't rivals with Possible at that moment. We both went to different elementary schools within the same district, so up until that time, we hadn't seen each other face-to-face.

("Hello there!" the young Kim asked. "You must be new to the school!"

Bonnie nervously giggled, "Oh, uhm...yeah, I am totally new to the whole junior high thing. You know, I'm the captain of the junior high cheer squad and we're going to have an amazing team this year."

"That's cool! Um, I like to cheerlead to!" Kim eagerly replied, "I spent around two years with an all-star team!"

"Kim, I like your skill, but, sad to say is that all positions on the squad have been filled. Maybe you can try in the 8th grade." Bonnie replied with a wink.

Kim frowned a little, "Mmm..yeah, I guess you're right. As the old saying goes 'There's always next year!'"

"Cheer up, Kim! You know, with our combined cheer skills, maybe we can make a great tandem on the squad! And team always goes with the word 'teamwork'!" Bonnie smiled.

"You know, Bonnie...I think this could be the beginning of a wonderful friendship!" Kim replied.

Bonnie and Kim hold hands and stroll together through the hallway on their way to the cafeteria.)
