Lily Evans wasn't surprised that it was Valentine's Day, it happened every year after all, but thankfully, the Muggle tradition had not spread to the Wizarding World or Hogwarts, or maybe it was just that the Muggleborn population of the school didn't want the holiday to be well known.

She was ready to hex whoever dragged the stupid holiday here.

She was surprised, however, in her seventh and final year at Hogwarts, when she saw a bouquet of crimson roses and James on his knee asking to go on a date with her in the middle of the Common Room before breakfast.

She said yes.

Never mind, she'd have to hex the person responsible later.
