"Come on Remus!" Nagged Sirius, who had been dragging his boyfriend, Remus, down the stairs that lead to the Black Lake for the past few minutes, this was much to the attention of the other students, who thought it was odd to see the two act like this, as they did not know the two seventh years were lovers.
Suspected it? Yes.
Knew it for a fact? No.
"No way, Padfoot." Protested Remus, who did not want to go for the expression on Sirius' face was far too devious to be trusted and to assume anything good would come from this.
"Please?" Begged Sirius. "Or I'll get on one knee." He winked.
"Gay marriage isn't legal." Remus rolled his eyes and tried not to focus on the fact that his own face was scarlet.
Sirius was stopped in his tracks by the thought, grinning wickedly, began to kneel on one knee. "Remus John Lupin, you're the best friend that I ever had, I've been with you such a long time, you're my sunshine and I want you to know that my feelings are true, I really love you-"
"You're quoting Queen…" Remus shook his head.
"That observation is correct. And I'm quoting John Richard, to be exact. Follow me, my dear!" And with that, Sirius swung Remus over his arms much like one would do to his bride on ones wedding night, and fled off to the Black Lake. Remus still blushed whenever Sirius called him that.
"Sirius, this is amazing." Whispered Remus, looking around at the scene in front of him. Sirius had decorated the shore of the lake with silica sand; he had charmed what was murky and inky water to a light turquoise and had placed a picnic lunch on a red picnic rug, complete with lemonade and matching umbrellas that enclosed the scene.
"And no one can see us, or hear us, I charmed it that way, it was tricky but-"
And at that, Remus collided his lips to Sirius, both of them stumbling into the cream-white sand.
"So, what about marriage?" Smiled Remus, whispering into Sirius's ear.
A/N, just so I don't get any morons telling me this, Queen released 'You're My Best Friend' in 1975, giving Remus and Sirius plenty of time to know of the song by their seventh year, three years later.
And John Richard wrote it, as a side note. About his wife.
