"James!" Called Lily, her voice light and a little shrill, at once James came running into the bathroom where his wife sat shakily on the edge of the bath. Her wand was at her feet and her face was drained off all colour.

"Wha-what happened?" Asked James nervously, his voice full of concern as he wrapped his arms around Lily.

"You're a father James." Lily's eyes were wide.

"I'm-I'm a what?" James had apparently lost the ability to form proper sentences and to move at all.

"You're a father." Repeated Lily. "I just did the charm and it came up as positive." She breathed.

"Oh Merlin," Gasped James.

"Are you okay? You're looking faint." Lily furrowed her eyebrows and mothered over him, which was funny, considering her condition.

"But I'm James, just James."

"Well, Just-James, you're a father."

"Lily Evans is having my baby. My baby." Grinned James, pecking Lily on the cheek. "If the baby grows up to be a toerag like me I'll ask for a refund, likewise if it doesn't get my dashing good looks." James ran his hand though his hair, Lily elbowed him for taking the mickey out of his fifteen year old self.

"You turned out fine, our baby will just need to find a nice ginger to keep it grounded." Smiled Lily, her head filled with images of the little family growing up together.
